A great place to stay for a weekend getaway. Everything was v smooth and communication was excellent. Starting from the ferry terminal, there was a pickup waiting for us to bring us to the villa. We enjoyed the private pool inside the villa and the place was overall at an acceptable level of cleanliness, although there were ants and other insects from time to time at the open area. It was easy to order room service, massage and transport to other parts of the island. Everything was done via WhatsApp with almost instantaneous replies. On the day of checkout, they held our luggage until we were ready to depart to the ferry terminal. Overall, a pleasant and fuss-free stay.

The hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish. Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner. However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

Booked an all-inclusive package for the hotel and the service was just top notch. 1) Called in advance and had the transfer from ferry to hotel arranged 2) All the staff were super friendly and welcoming, always checking in if we have any requests or needs. 3) Although the hotel is still under construction, all the amenities are working and super new 4) The beach was very clean, beautiful waters 5) we initially were offered only 1 menu for our all inclusive package, after the guest relation officer asked for our feedback and I informed them of the issue, the next meal I was immediately offered and menu with more options. 6) Food was very good! 7) Overall, great 3D2N stay and keep up the good work, hope to see more improvements (more activities)

This place has the nice vibes of a traditional resort. Staff were largely polite, welcoming and friendly. There’s a large private beach area. However, my stay was marred by several issues. I booked a room with options for either a double bed or 2 twin beds. Upon arrival, I was told that there were no double beds available. I asked the staff if there’s anyone in a double bed room who’s checking out today, and told the staff I’m willing to wait if there is. She said there’s a guest in a double bed room who’s checking out that day, but she’s unable to “confirm”. She suggested that I take a room with 2 twin beds combined instead. Sensing that I’ve no choice, I reluctantly accepted it, and upon reaching that room, I saw the adjacent room with a double bed and the room looked vacant. I went back to the reception to ask if I could take that other room, and this time another staff took over and told me there’s a room with double bed for me but I have to wait for it to be ready. I agreed but felt perplexed why the first staff couldn’t have just told me the same thing. It’s not like I insisted on having a double bed room immediately, I already said I’m willing to wait. Another issue was the wifi. We all had problems connecting to the wifi, and when we finally got connected, the connection was often unstable. On the second night, there was a power failure and the electricity was out for several minutes. Overall, this is still a nice comfortable resort that makes a good getaway from the city. It will be even better if staff communication and wifi can be improved.

Nice and unique place to stay in. Was a peaceful stay in except the bed side are filled with ants :”( however all were good! Went on a weekends and they have grill with movie service . Their customer service were Top notch. They're super well manners filled with so much courtesy. 👏 resort is nearby to neemo! They responded promptly in WhatsApp even if its a last min plan to it even helped decorated the bed to my request!!
