We had 3 nights at Mayang Sari as part of stop-over when returning to Australia from Europe. The resort is well maintained and in a beautiful location. The friendliness and service of the staff was first rate. In fact across the entire Island, the attitude and friendliness to tourists was first class.

Indigo Bintan located right in the complex of Bintan Resort. Its still brand new and everythings on point. This is the perfect resort for getaway with buggy and upcoming kids club etc. I stayed for a week from 4-9 Nov 2024 in building 2, the room was spacious, and the service was remarkable. They offered turn down service every night. Also showed a true hospitality through gesture and remember names. Checked in by Mbak Enggar & Mas Tommy, welcomed in SugarBeats by Mas Jaka, Mas Taher, Mbak Sasa, Mbak Genny, Mbak Chika, Mas Kadek, Mas Dion and any other I couldnt remember. Beautiful & unspoilt location to get away from it all! The property is located on this stunning beach with an infinity pool to enjoy the views, together with the well kept gardens or beach to lie back & totally relax! The beach villa is well worth the extra & enjoys a comfortable rustic style with the view & gentle sounds of the ocean. The rustic style continues throughout with a picturesque decking accommodating the restaurant. The menu is varied, reasonable & we enjoyed exceptional dishes every time. The staff are all very friendly & welcoming at every encounter, particularly Anuar who is an absolute delight with such a cheerful & friendly nature, always wanting to make sure that his guests are enjoying their stay. We highly recommend this resort & island - it’s just a short ferry ride from Singapore & approx 50 minute taxi ride but you get to see the island at the same time too. Thanks for the earlier recommendation re: Taxis too. Don’t go for the ones immediately as you come through customs & immigration, but those just as you exit. (Barter too, as we paid 250,000 Ind Rupiat each way plus tip).

Mon séjour au ROKA Resort de Bintan a été tout simplement inoubliable, et cela en grande partie grâce à une rencontre incroyable avec Sophie, la responsable d'ARKASIA – Animal Rescue Kingdom Asia. Dès notre arrivée, le ROKA Resort nous a enveloppés dans une atmosphère de sérénité et de luxe. Niché au cœur d'une nature magnifique, le resort offre un cadre parfait pour se détendre tout en étant en harmonie avec l'environnement. La cerise sur le gâteau a été notre rencontre avec Sophie, une personne passionnée et dévouée à la cause animale. Son travail avec ARKASIA est tout simplement admirable. Elle nous a raconté avec enthousiasme les efforts déployés pour protéger et secourir les animaux en Asie, nous montrant ainsi l’importance de la préservation de la faune locale. Sa passion est contagieuse, et elle nous a donné un aperçu inspirant de son travail quotidien et des défis qu'elle relève avec brio. Ce moment a ajouté une dimension unique à notre séjour, nous permettant de voir au-delà du cadre idyllique du resort pour découvrir une cause noble et inspirante. Le ROKA Resort n'est pas seulement un lieu de repos et de détente, mais aussi un endroit où l'on peut faire des rencontres marquantes et enrichissantes. Je recommande vivement ce resort à quiconque souhaite vivre une expérience authentique et inoubliable à Bintan.

Neat little boutique resort with very pleasant staff. Very serene environment wthout noisy families and children.. surrounded by plenty of mangrove habitat within the property. Outside the property, you can cycle to rustic local villages and fisherman wharf (15mins walk away). Could hv been better if wifi is more stable. Electricity tripped once when we were there for 3D/2n..and if there is a.mini-fridge in the room, it would be perfect. Otherwise, all facilities are good enough. Menu serves a variety of western, indonesian and some chinese food but your best choice would be their yummy indonesian selection. Basic water activities eg swimming pool overlooking the sea, kayaking and other on-site tours are available. For kids: small slides, swings, see-saw, small animals eg rabbits, cats and chickens. Entertaintment: simple board games, uno, darts etc

We visited the resort for the third time, accompanied by family friends, and stayed in their Banyu Biru villa which had a water slide for kids. However, this visit turned into a terrifying experience for my family. To sum it up, the pool area lacked staff presence, had no lifeguards, security, or sunproof shelter. In an effort to shield ourselves from the intense sunlight, we moved our sun chairs under a large tree approximately 15 meters away from the pool. While my daughter was playing under the water slide in a game of hide and seek with her friend, her leg from the knee downward got caught in the water intake system. She was on the brink of drowning. Due to our distant seating, I only realized the dire situation when my 4-year-old had already ingested a significant amount of water. My son held his sister and called for my help. Despite my immediate intervention, the suction was so strong that I couldn't free her from the intake system. I shouted for assistance, but no one came to aid us. Fortunately, one of the boys nearby managed to locate the switch and deactivate the system, finally releasing my daughter's trapped leg. By that time, her calf was discolored, turning black and purple, with scratches all over her knee area. Upon addressing the hotel staff, all they offered was some ice, with no medical assistance provided. Regrettably, the management did not treat the incident with the gravity it deserved. Following my return home, I composed an email to them, but their response was unsatisfactory. While they claimed to have implemented measures like placing a mesh cover over the intake and lowering the pipe, their lack of empathy was evident. The hotel's customer care was severely lacking, and the management's response was a major letdown. I would caution other young parents to exercise extreme caution around pool water intakes. It is astonishing that a large hotel can offer such inadequate support in such critical situations.

Originally I booked the unit with sea view at Indra Maya Villa but there are steps to reach the villa. But with a wheelchair-bound elderly, we had to cancel and booked KWA Villa directly from the Resort. KWA villa seems to be the only one with direct access without steps. KWA Villa has beautiful layout especially the private pool and sea view. Also have a personal buggy provided. Also a nice pavilion - perfect for quiet time. The outdoor sofa should have proper shelter. When the rain came, the sofa was all soaked wet. Insufficient lighting within the living/dining room. Estate maintenance is poor. Lots of mosquitoes. The Resort doesn't provide insecticide. On Sunday morning, we are deprived of water supply in the Villa because the pipe burst outside the Villa. So we could not swim because we could not use the bathrooms. Housekeeping is generally ok. Even beach towels. Kitchen has utensils & crockery but the bowls, knife and ladle missing. The staff especially Ahmad who drive the buggies and vans are attentive and dedicated. Ahmad pushed my mother's wheelchair to/fro road/villa through the rain and was drenched despite the umbrella. The breakfast food selection limited. With limited guests, the buffet became a ordering system. We had to order from the system.

We enjoyed every minute.Nice clean specious room.Buitifull pool.We booked tours and massage at the resort.Snorkeling and sightseeing tour.Good price as well.Staff gave us free fesert to try and brought us fresh coconut from the garden.They also brought us to restaurants near by for a small fee.Also have a ferry terminal transfer.
