The staff were polite and friendly, the location was great as right near the arena. We were given a disabled room which was large and on the 4th floor as I requested a low floor. However, I had no sleep as net curtains up and blind didn’t pull down. Also, breakfast was fairly chaotic the next morning. You literally have to do everything yourself eg make your own hot drinks, roast your bread. I personally prefer it cooked to order or at least for them to bring you toast and coffee, which is what I’d expect for nearly £150 for the night. Overall, I think it’s overpriced and I would not stay here again!

In all honesty the price of the hotel was not worth it. I paid £185 for my room for me and my partner but the room was shockingly under budget. The room was big but that was all. The bed was basically a double bed, The room stank and smelt like someone had been using the toilet before we got in there, you could hear everyone outside the room and everyone walking and talking around outside the hotel. I would never recommend anyone paying more than £80 for the big room.

I stopped here one night with friends for my birthday. The hotel is easy to get to, and the location is excellent as it’s located on Broad Street, near Brindley Place which hosts a wide range of bars and pubs. So if you’re visiting Birmingham to have a drunken, night out or a special occasion then this hotel is perfect. There’s also parking on site behind the hotel which is very handy, unfortunately the car park isn’t discounted for guests stopping in the hotel. After waiting in a small queue, we attempted to check in at 14:30 (half hour earlier than check in ‘opens’) we were told the room wasn’t ready. Which wasn’t an issue as they had luggage storage available. We can back to check in at 16:00 and the queue was horrendous. I’ve never seen a queue as big as this to check in for a hotel before. We waited for 20 minutes until we checked in. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Although there were coffee cups left behind the curtains upon entry. The bathroom was very modern and had a walk in shower. The beds were unbelievably comfy and had plug sockets by the side of the bed which is a massive plus as not every hotel has this. Luckily, it was a quicker process checking out as you can just pop your keys in the ‘express checkout box’. Overall, a comfortable night stay in the heart of Birmingham, unfortunately the check in was horrific.

I would stay here again! I loved the location of the hotel. It is right inbetween the city center (New Street Station & Bullring) and the beautiful Brindley Place are by the old canal. The room itself was clean and looked mostly like it was in the picture, I also had a pretty cool view onto the old canal from the 15th floor. The carpet and the couch looked a bit ”worn down”, but it was clean nonetheless. The staff was friendly, nice and very helpful. It was nice that the breakfast was included and there was a good choice of breakfast options. I can 100% recommend this hotel when staying in Birmingham. I had a nice time and didn't miss anything while staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

Had gone here for a night. The room I was given was nice and spacious but the air on wouldn't work. So I was moved to another room which was smaller, felt like I was downgraded to a smaller room. If only they could give me the same spacious room that I booked with a working air con would have been great.

Really enjoyed our stay the apartment was clean and had everything. Location was perfect easy walk into the city centre. The staff were amazing and accommodating. The shower was amazing and the parking was reasonably priced at £17.50/day. I would highly recommend this for anyone including families to book. Value for money.

sadly the apartment didn't live up to the beautiful Art Deco exterior and communal areas. We stayed during the Commonwealth Games, which presumably accounted for the massive price rise (over £1500 more than the current listing price for the same apartment) Let me first say that as a positive, I couldn't fault the staff there - particularly the cleaners and the maintenance man we encountered. However, for the price we paid (or even for the current list price) I did feel let down. The bed was very small, and the bedroom itself was stiflingly hot, despite the open windows and the fans, which worked almost constantly while we were there. In fact, my husband slept quite a few nights on the sofa for this reason. The television kept switching itself off and although we reported this on more than one occasion, it was unable to be fixed while we were there. The toilet seat lid came off in our hands on the first night we were there, and this happened again even after it had been ”fixed” twice, so in the end we just left it off. We were unable to leave the windows open at night due to frequent noises from outside of bottles/glasses being emptied into bins from (presumably) local pubs. All in all, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. I do realise however, from reading other reviews, that other people have had a different experience from the one we had, but it's not for us.

It is excellent value for money. You get big room with almost fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom is also spacious, towels are new and soft. Bed is comfy. Room is bright and view is nice (bear in mind it is Birmingham). Staff is efficient kind. Location is great five minutes walk to any part of downtown.

My dear wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Adagio in Birmingham. We chose the superior apartment which was quite spacious and comfortable. It was in easy walking distance to the New Street Train Station, downtown Birmingham, and even easier walking distance to the Bull Ring Mall with its many stores and supermarket. We found the staff to be really friendly. Thank you Adagio!

Cleanliness can be improved as there are stains on bedsheets. Computer system does not seem updated as I was asked to make payment again. I have to contact Trip.com customer service and luckily this was sorted in 30 mins.

PPengguna TetamuArrived at the hotel. Looked lovely and clean in reception area. Parking fee was reasonable for 24 hours at £15. Room wasn’t massive but had every thing I needed for one night. Bed was super comfy. Pillows could have been better. A little bit lumpy for my liking. Bar area was clean and bright. Also had a nice garden area for sitting outside. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the only way to contact reception was via WhatsApp and when I did - no response so had to go to reception. Problem was solved very quickly but would have preferred not to have had to go downstairs myself. They have no phones in the rooms any more. Would stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuLocation - Great location in the Jewellery Quarter (JQ). JQ is a nice part of Birmingham with some good bars and cafes and good tram access to the city centre. If you’re not from Birmingham it might be a bit out of the centre for your liking, at least a 20 minute walk from the city centre. Size - I went for the apartment which was 20m2. Bloc is designed on ‘Japanese space saving techniques’ and you can tell. This was the largest room they had available and I thought it was comfortable for one, but it’s marketed for two which would be a bit cramped in my opinion. Layout - Nicely furnished inside and very clean. Plenty of fresh towels and a nice en-suite shower room (albeit low water pressure). A bedroom and living room tv although these only have Freeview, which seemed apartment as the room is presented as ‘high-tech’, with lights and TV being controlled by a touchscreen. (It’s also easier to control the TV with the standard remote). Amenities - Two complementary bottles of water, some tea and coffee sachets, milk sachets and lotus biscuits in the room. A microwave available (in apartment, possibly not in double room). Hairdryer and coat hangers in the room but couldn’t see any iron or ironing board - perhaps available on request but would be nice for guests on business trips to have this in the room. Sleep - Reasonably comfortable bed for a short stay. Can heard rain dripping outside the window throughout the night despite windows closed which may disturb light sleepers, otherwise a quiet location. Value - Great value considering the prime location and the relatively spacious size for the price.

MMike LutzA very pleasant stay in a clean room with decent amenities. The bed was comfy and I didn’t hear noise from other guests, it was good to have blackout blinds too. The location was perfect for my conference and walking distance to the city centre (about 15 mins). The breakfast is decent and there are snacks and drinks available as well.

PPengguna TetamuI arrived past the check-in time, and reception was not around to receive me. Nonetheless, there was a number on the door to call, and I was talked through the process of getting in with the code, and to collect my keys. The gentleman was incredibly patient with me, which was appreciated as it was late, and I was exhausted from a long work day and it was my first time in Birmingham so I got lost finding my way from the train station to the accommodation. The apartment was incredibly spacious. The living room and kitchen made me feel right at home, and the kitchen was well equipped. There were two bedrooms and two bathrooms - I was a single traveller so I didn't need to use all that space at all. The bed I slept in was marvellously comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, the water pressure was strong, and I really have zero complains about it. Location wise, there is a mall next door, although by the time I arrived it was closed, and when I left for my work meeting at 7am the next morning it wasn't opened yet. There were also some restaurants by the waterfront around the corner. I think this is a great accommodation for families or friends travelling together.

JJSTWComfort Inn Location is great, just next to Birmingham New Street train station and within 3 mins walking distance to Birmingham China town, so plenty of restaurants and cafe surround this hotel. The only downside is the shower area, the curtain was short and water spilling everywhere when take shower. Overall I would rate 4.0 for Comfort Inn due to excellent location and reasonable price

PPengguna TetamuInteresting hotel The positives - SUPERB location (on New St and clearly an old Railway Co hotel). Wonderful reception, marble halls and stairways. Staff superb too. In nice condition too. Bar was good (if a touch pricey) but i am nitpicking... Room was well decorated and nice bathroom, but stupidly warm with a very noisy radiator - again perhaps nitpicking.. For £170 a night though I would expect more than a standard double bed. Sure it was comfortable, but the bed was lost in the size of the room which could easily have had a bigger bed. I mean, come on, you get a bigger bed in a Travelodge.. We are both 6 foot to 6 foot four and the nights sleep was terrible due to the small bed.. oh, and also bad because of....... ROOM NOISE - we were on floor two facing New Street Station. I had TERRIBLE sleep due to trams, station announcements, delivery mopeds buzzing with deliveroo food, people shouting outside - I used to live in central London and have stayed in cities all over the UK with work.. I KNOW that city hotels can be noisy - but this was crazy - in fact the worst I can remember. At one point in the night I had to check if a window was open. Double glazing badly needed. Breakfast... very nice - but very slow. And charging £3 extra for eggs benedict which was a third of the size of my (included) full breakfast plate is cynical. Checkout - was told we had a discount code for the Grand Central car park at New Street - a nice touch.. got to the car park, went to pay - car park fee for 24 hours is £10.00 (to be expected in a city).. but hey - no worries.. we have a DISCOUNT CODE!!! (the new price? £9.50... Oh how we both laughed...) Still. Nice location. Not worth the asking price though. Nowhere near.

PPengguna TetamuHotel is not in a bad location for trips out… But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.
