Hotel berhampiran Longbridge, Birmingham

Check in went quite quick was given a room.on.shops side so the WiFi was better and I can see when greggs was busy or not haha. The room was very tidy bathroom was spotless and the bed was amazing. Only downfall was I requested housekeeping 2 days in a row fridaya and saturday and they did not come this was Brought up to.reception who were apologetic and made sure it was done on the Sunday without fail. And we're great on giving me clean towels when needed. The WiFi was on and.off in terms of signal. Bit other than that was a great stay and can't wait to stay again in may.

This place is great if you are a travelling man; good value. great local amenties etc very close to brum town centre etc; However if you are an entitled ego-centric Meghan Markle wannabee go somewhere else and pay £250 a night... Sick off these prima donnas. Get real.

Had a great 2 night stay here. Very close to Cadbury World and Bournville station for trains into Birmingham. Breakfast was great added bonus.

I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choices at the buffet, so there’s something for everyone. The room was spotless, and I loved the big TV—just what you need to unwind. Overall, it had everything I needed, and for the price, it was great value. I’d definitely stay here again.

Average stay… cheap and cheerful

Overall good hotel not far from the M40 but requires updating. Staff are over worked and supposed to do multiple jobs especially night staff. Rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested - we found this strange as we are past covid!. Parking • There is parking at the back of the hotel but you have to register every time you park at the reception (not once a day but every time you park). Reception is at the UG floor. You can park free but to avoid a ticket register seems to be the only way we were told. There is a Sainsburys car park opposite, which is a minute walk to the hotel and back. • The car park at the back is very limited Check in/check out • Reception is on the UG floor (Upper ground floor), Check in was quite quick. • Check out is very simple. You just have to put your key card into a small container at reception and you can go. • The staff are nice and friendly and always willing to resolve any issues you have Lift and stairs • The lift is well-maintained but there is only 1 lift and it is quite slow • There are also stairs as you enter the hotel. Room • The beds were nice and comfortable • The windows did not shut properly which resulted in a lot of cold air coming in the room during the storm which also made the room noisy all night. The windows were not cleaned properly as there were cobwebs near the window • The bathroom size was the standard but slightly smaller than expected. • The shower wasn't powerful enough • The hair and body wash soap wasn't filled when we checked in and had to request staff to replace. The basin soap pump was faulty and so on the second night the hotel staff provided us a bottle of soap Tea and Coffee making facilities • There were plenty of tea-bags, milk, coffee powder and sugar • You can get more tea and coffee making resources at reception

Generally, I had a lovely stay. My room was upscale, comfortable and clean. I enjoyed a tasty meal in the bar area one evening. I did however have some difficultly getting the heat to come on when I needed it, but I was comfortable enough.

If you’re looking for somewhere with few amenities, but clean, quiet and comfortable, this is tremendous value. And convenient for Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham University and Winterbourne House. Note: check in is at the swanky Edgbaston Park Hotel over the road, which is where there is also a v smart bar and restaurant. Both operated by the university.
