Hotel Blois dengan Kolam Renang

Fantastic visit to Mercure with my family. Such a lovely welcome, staff were very friendly and facilities were good. Breakfast choice was very good and the hotel was in such a great location for sight seeing. The only unfortunate disappointment was that the air conditioning was broken throughout our stay so our room was absolutely boiling. Would have been good to have been offered some fans as we just didn't sleep much in the very hot temperatures. Would not put us off visiting again though.

We stayed here for a few nights during very hot weather and were grateful for the air conditioning in the rooms and for the swimming pool which was small but a perfect temperature to cool off in. The hotel is just on the edge of town, a very pleasant 15 minute walk to the centre and if the climb back up the hill is a challenge there is a free. ‘Navette’ bus that does a circuit of the city centre and stops just outside the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, from the reception staff to the bar staff and the cleaning team. We always got a smile and a ‘Bonjour’ I’d love to be able to give a higher score as I did like the hotel but there were a few issues. Firstly the mattress was made of foam and very squishy so we didn’t sleep well at all. Secondly, breakfast was a bit of a stressful experience- the buffet area is too small and poorly laid out so guests are falling over each other trying to get to the food and it’s a bit of a bun fight. The breakfast room itself is hot and noisy but you do have the option of taking your breakfast out to the garden which we did each morning as it was a much calmer place to eat and to start the day. Finally, on a couple of occasions we came back to the room at about 3pm to find it had still not been cleaned so we had to ask for clean towels etc. this is no criticism of the cleaning staff as they were working flat out but they obviously need to employ more cleaners to manage all the rooms.

Fabulous stay - fresh, new hotel - delightful staff, manager, restaurants, and setting. Best hotel we have ever stayed in (been going places for forty years now). Stand alone restaurant is just perfect - fine food, very pleasant staff and comfortable. Two starred main restaurant is just a wonder. Fine in every respect. Warm staff. Personable chef. Hotel manager, Kim, was just a gem - pleasant and helpful all the time. Go for a very special place to stay in chateau land of the middle ages.
