I stayed here for two nights to relax with my family. Nice amenities. Amazing service from the staff, very friendly. Good breakfast. Free popsicles and drinks when you're at the pool during a certain time. Very spacious rooms. Unfortunately, on our last night, I saw a rat in my room and called for help. First staff could not find the rat and barely made an effort to look for it as he just went around the room once and said "nothing" so I just shrugged and told him I'll call again if I do see the rat again. I saw it again about an hour later and called right away. I tried to take a video of it but could not as it was moving fast and hiding behind the mini-fridge. It was going back and forth to the couch and mini fridge. It seemed like it did not just come to the room (as the front desk agent suggested it probably came in the room because it was raining that day) as I saw rat droppings on the corner of the couch. I did manage to get a video when I told the staff to move the fridge since I knew it was just there. When he moved the mini-fridge it went under the bed and my two kids and I screamed. The staff told us we could move to our new room which thankfully was just on the same floor/building. I asked for some type of compensation since moving to a new room should have been given anyway since we could not sleep in the same room as the rat. They did offer airport drop off but I was not leaving that day I checked out and since my mom's side of the family actually stays in Bohol, I visit the island every year, so my mom's family always accommodates us to and from the airport. I was hoping they would offer something else and the manager that day said she would communicate with me via email but I have yet to receive it since my checkout on June 11, 2024 (it is June 15, 2024 as I write this review). Besides the rat experience (this is probably a rare experience for them, hopefully) I absolutely loved Amorita Resort and will be visiting again as I visit my family in Bohol.
