We booked two different rooms for the 2 nights we stayed (as that was all that was available) - a superior room and a deluxe room (paddy view). The deluxe paddy view room was spectacular and the view is amazing. The bathrooms in each of the rooms are outside so be prepared to encounter a few bugs/spiders. The hotel itself is wonderful, the food at the restaurant is delicious and caters very well for vegetarians! The hotel also offers tours, we took the firefly tour and we absolutely loved it.

Все просто отлично! Мы просто влюбились в это место, с большим зелёным двором, прудом, бассейном. Планировали остаться здесь на 2 дня, в результате прожили неделю и всё равно не хотим уезжать! Всё чисто и прекрасно, сервис на отлично! Прохладная водичка, ставят ароматные палочки по двору, если появляются комары. Позвонили и договорились нам насчет байков со скидкой. Так что мы очень довольны.

Nothing but praise for this resort! We love the privacy and the beauty that this place offers. We were warmly greeted by Sam at check-in, and she told us the wonderful news that we got an upgrade. The room was bliss! We had our own jacuzzi that overlooked their islet. It was super relaxing. It also helped that the room had access to an ever-exclusive beach. What more can we ask for? Well, more apparently. The resort has its own natural underground freshwater spring cave. Glenn, our personal guide was super awesome. We enjoyed our conversations with him and the information he provided us made the visit to the cave more eventful. Ana at the restaurant was a standout. Always smiling yet super efficient. A wonderful dinner experience! Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and always at home at the resort.

This beautiful little boutique resort that I brought a group called Kids Sea Camp to. It was an awesome family diving vacation. Amun ini is located right on the beach with lots of fun things for the kids to do. There is a volleyball beach court, a basketball court, an infinity pool, and a beautiful private white sand beach full of seashells. The rooms are very spacious, either a king bed or a king bed with 2 single beds for families with young kids. 2 queen beds as well. None of the rooms connect, so if you have older teens, you can easily have two side-by-side rooms. I bring a small group of family divers to this resort for a 5 or 6-night stay each year. The best rooms for views are the second floor, and the easiest and quickest to the restaurant and pool are the first floor. The downstairs rooms have gardens in front of them so ocean views are obstructed. The food is very good, and a great variety that is customizable for kids. This resort is a 2-hour ride from TAG airport but provides private transfers. The diving operator is Amun Ini Divers and they are both SSI and PADI. The Kids Sea Camp Event we attend each year is a PADI event, and families with kids come from around the world to learn to scuba dive and dive together. The dive shop has 3 boats that are very well equipped with bathrooms and refreshments. This dive operator offers valet-style diving where everything is taken care of for you. The kids dive rental gear is all included for the kids as well as all the meals, transfers and up to 4 dives per day. This resort is uncrowded and very service-forward. The dive team is one of the best in the world that I have had the pleasure to dive with. The beds are very firm. Enjoy.

What didn't you like:
A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked.
We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food.
•On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400.
•When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited.
•Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food.
•The leaves in each salad were stale.
•Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage.
•There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone;
I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours.
•Hand soap has not been refilled in two days;
• The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there;
•The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected.
• One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it;
• Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes.
Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask.
I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

Service is excellent, staffs are well-trained and friendly. The hotel has various pools with a pool bar each, and it is great that the beach side pool is open til midnight. Amenities are okay.
Bfast buffet is great - have a wide variety of food. They also have a dinner buffet at a discounted rate for hotel guests.
Early check-in was not available during my time because there’s a lot of guests. But overall, still a great stay.

L'endroit est relativement propre, l'accueil sympathique. La piscine est très très grande, bien entretenue. Mais l'endroit manque d'âme, aucun cachet, un bon coup d'anticalcaire serait appréciable sur les robinets. Nous avons eu quelques fourmis sur le lit. Le restaurant est bien mais rien d'incroyable. C'est très bien comme lieu de passage mais sans doute moins pour passer ses vacances. Il y a des serviettes pour la piscine à demander à la réception. Nous avons eu une coupure de courant vers 5h du matin, cela arrive.

Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited.
One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout.
The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient.
Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items.
The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block.
The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal.
One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them!
Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style.
On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it.
While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium.
If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao.

Spacious and Comfortable Rooms: Our room was very spacious, featuring three big beds which comfortably fit our family. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy environment for relaxation after a day of exploring.
Great Value for Money: Compared to other hotels in the area, Azul de Panglao offers great value for money. The price is significantly cheaper while still providing excellent amenities and service.
Complimentary Breakfast and More: We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast of bread and butter every morning, which was a nice touch. Additionally, free water was available anytime, and they even provided bananas, which the kids loved.
Nice Amenities: The hotel boasts a nice shower with ample toiletries and towels provided. The pool was a big hit with our children and a perfect spot for a refreshing dip.
Convenient Location: Azul de Panglao is conveniently located just a short tricycle ride away from Alona Beach, probably around 1 km. This made it easy for us to enjoy the beach and nearby restaurants without any hassle.
Overall, Azul de Panglao exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it for families looking for a budget-friendly, comfortable, and hospitable place to stay in Panglao. We will definitely be back!

-Misleading Information and must be updated! The ad shows that the hotel has all the amenities that we looked for are wifi/wired internet in the rooms, swimming pool and few steps from the beach but it's not. We checked in late at night and the location is far from the beach, wifi is available at their Gazebo or lobby area with mosquitos.
-There are 2 different hotel branches, one is few steps from Alona beach proper with wifi in the rooms but no pool and the other one is their 2nd newer branch which is 1 tuktuk ride away from Alona beach proper no wifi in the rooms, wired internet isn't working but with swimming pool.
-I was upfront to the hotelier that I travel for work and measure and need all those amenities that were stated on the website, but the remedy they kept insisting is to move us to their other branch which is older, no pool with wifi in the room as they do not have the wifi nor wired internet in their room at their 2nd hotel and that we can just go their in the morning to use their pool 🤣
-No one from the hotel apologize, not even a Manager's shadow reachout
-Trip.com said sorry and provide compensation but it's not enough for the lost working hours due to the mosquito bites I had while I tried to work at the lobby but was not able to tolerate it as I am afraid of having Dengue, did not get anything from the hotel's management

-we tried to walk to the beach as there is another route close to the 2nd hotel but the way is rocky and stairs were steep as it was meant for divers or island Hopper not the white ***** that were posted on the website

PPengguna TetamuI'm surprise to read quite a few negative reviews here about this hotel. Unfortunately, it pulled their ratings down as well. Too bad as this hotel really did a great job for us. First off, the staff was friendly and super accommodating! This is a last minute overnight booking for us. We were supposed to stay with a family but since our flight got delayed, we had to book here for the meantime. The late night airport transfer (airport pick-up) was the most convenient, as well as very helpful. The driver even offered to take us grocery shopping if needed. I mean, our flight arrived 1030pm via Korea (with 10hours layover) so both my teen son and I were exhausted. It's good to know we have someone reliable and friendly waiting for us. Despite the late night check-in, the staffs were smiling, cheerful and gave us a welcome lei necklace or shell necklace. It's my teen son's first time in Bohol, so he was happy at this unexpected welcome experience. Furthermore, our booking included a dinner for 2 but since we missed that due to our flight delay and will be checking out the next day, the staff changed that to 2 free lunch instead. That's another convenience for us, since our family will pick us up after lunch the next day. Our room and bathroom was clean and comfortable - 2 double beds, strong shower pressure, cold a/c and our room included a welcome water bottles for us, which again is an add on convenience for us (esp. arriving super late at night). With a teen in tow, WiFi is important. No issues on that as their WiFi was pretty strong. The hotel itself is situated in the quiet side of Pangloa, which is a plus for us exhausted travelers. We slept and rested very well that night after a nice hot shower. The next day, my teen was excited to look around the hotel property. The pool area was clean, huge and nicely decorated. It has that island feel to it. Unfortunately, it rained and there's a lightning/thunder alert hence he was unable to swim in the pool. However, we had fun strolling around the property. It has a welcoming vibe to it. We ate at their restaurant for lunch, even invited family over. Over all, a convenient, relaxing- stress free and comfortable overnight stay here. Will we stay here again? Definitely!
