Ekerum Resort Oland

Very productive project discussions with the core team and guest speakers. Venue: Beautiful setting but significant issues. Sun glare during dining was disruptive. Accommodation: Rooms were acceptable, but the self-service kitchen was closed, and its setup felt unusual. Catering: The vegetarian dish was severely burned, and requests for fresh potatoes and asparagus were ignored. During midsummer, a dish filled with Chris**as flavours and oranges was served, which was odd and unreceived. The food had an unpleasant taste and poor service, especially given the cost. Communication: Numerous problems with coordination and communication. Overall, the Productive meeting was undermined by poor catering, logistical issues, and strange accommodation arrangements. Improvements are needed for future events.

Family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in a Premium Room. Would recommend. Lots of space with 2 separate bedrooms (1 for adults, 1 with 2 singles for children) plus open area with Kitchenette / Lounge / Dining. Enough towels for us all - although no tea-towel and limited cutlery. Buffet breakfast was included and had enough options for us all. Electric charging was available via Pair.se network (via app or phone up if app not available in your country's store). Nice view from room and from breakfast. Very easy and friendly check-in and check-out (not 24/7 though). No room service (although the bar let us take glasses of wine back to our room).

We booked a golf stay mid week which was quite competitive price wise. The hotel / golf service was quite good and flexible with swap of tee times / golf courses. The rooms, while spacious and light, are in need of some renovation. They are functionally OK but old and not very cozy. We only spend the time needed there. Breakfast buffet was good, dinner ok with option to swap for the pizza place for variation. View from restaurant quite nice. Pizza place outdoor seating could be good during summer. Golf courses - Lange Erik has the most water but not a very inspiring layout / par 3 hole 3 the most memorable hole but the rest did not leave much of an impression. A couple of decent par 5 dog legs however a steep walk from 16 to 17 gave us hope for a couple of nice finishing holes however two very ordinary par 3/5 showed up which left us unsatisfied and unable to recall many of the holes after the round when we tried to recall the game. Lange Jan was the better course of the two - more strategy on the tee shots - and amongst taller trees which gave it a nice feel. Many long holes had great risk and reward off the tee box, so score slightly worse on the first try. Both courses were in very good condition - but I think green fee is overpriced in comparison to other courses. Furthermore they are building some quite ugly vacation homes along the courses. If you are looking for a Swedish golf stay experience and perhaps a more social golf outing I would suggest Hooks or Araslov which, in my view, offer a more authentic Swedish golfing experience. Both with 2 x 18 hole golf courses as well. Or just book a few of the many nice golf courses around.

The service has much to aprove! The beds are small! The golfcource was much overrated, therefore not worth the green fee. The staff at the Hotel need education in service mindfulness and approve there organisation skills in how to organize a conference and group activities. The facilities are nice so if you get a large discount and you have patience with the staff and you have the ability to salve many unforeseen problems during your stay I can recommend Ekerum golf and conference resort, otherwise a big NO, NO

Fint läge men tyvärr lite eftersatta lägenheter med dålig ventilation om man tar de billigare rummen. Kök hade tagits bort och ersatts av en liten minikyl som inte orkade kyla 33cl glasflaskor något vidare, vilket kändes konstigt. Frukosten var okej, men inte mer. Brukar använda bacon och äggröra som måttstock då det finns överallt, och att plocka upp blekbruna mjuka baconbitar ur en pöl med smält fett kändes lite oinbjudande. Jättetrevlig personal på hotellet, och deras egna pizzeria bakade pizzor så goda att de kändes som varmrätter på en finare restaurang. Rekommenderas. Kommer besöka Ekerum igen som dagsgäst i framtiden för att gå på deras enormt fina golfbanor i världsklass samt äta och dricka gott till middagen. Men bo och äta frukost kommer jag göra någon annan stans.

Fantastic views

We were staying for couple of days. The place is general ok and perhaps due to the low season being now. However the price more or less being for a quality you don’t get. Pizza place in the facility is great and offers topp quality pizza. We didnt try the restaurant except the breakfast which was ok but not great. We didn’t try the activities as golf, mountain bike etc as the weather was rough. Spa facilities and gym are available for those who like to try out but we didn’t thought to be worth the money. Cleanness of the apar**ent floors are low standard but ok. The apar**ent we were staying at had a bad smell in general which should be amended. The space were more than satisfactory and the beds comfortable. The view was also very good and over the golf course area. It is a shame that it is not offered and good TV channels and the wifi connection come and goes.. The staff are friendly but seems like not getting proper introduction to the work as we received different information from them ,,,which costed us both time and also missing stuff which we had planned for during our short stay.
