Lovely staff, good price, clean and nice room! I was not expecting such a high standard for that price. Lovely would definitely recommend!

Lovely place to stay, staff really friendly, polite and nothing is to much trouble, menu and food was excellent, 4 hour drive home and insisted that we took saus, bacon and egg rolls with us for the journey, cant wait to stay there again.

Good country pub accommodation.

I didn't eat there but local friends tell me the food is good (as pub food goes)

I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful place. Although I wasn’t expecting to stay over an hour away from York central and the king bus ride was exhausting… once I got there I fell in love with this small village and its people. Safe, quiet, clean and so very friendly. I was told wrong information about the bus when I tried to leave on Sunday (not their fault) Debbie was so very kind to drive me in her personal vehicle to the train station. I would go out of my way to visit again. Rob, Caroline, and Debbie along with the other staff have remarkable talent. I have to praise the chef Simon as well because everything came beautifully presented and the flavors were extraordinary. It’sa 5⭐️ place without the fussiness. It was my very favorite mistake on this trip and I can’t wait to visit again.

My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The wonderful customer service from Jeff and Steve . And most of all we enjoyed the quiet and peaceful a**osphere of the entire area. Our room was romantic. And the local area was beautiful.
