Had a good welcoming. Front desk employees work fast and professionally. My room was on the 7th floor and I had a nice city view. Rooms are clean and all the necessary amenities are provided. Unfortunately there was no available time in the spa in the morning.

Ultimate holiday destination at Dorset, SW England, with sun, beach, sea and pool (and lots of bubbles), friendly staff, vacation mood and good nibbles. Always busy always happening :)

I booked for celebrate my husband's birthday. Staff very nice and helpful. They prepared the card and some chocolate for us to celebrate. And our room is Seaview room that so nice. Location very good. I have a great trip with my family in Bournemouth.

Antique hotel in a very good location close to the beach however no nothing is guaranteed by the hotel. There is no option to book parking (first come first serve basis), they can’t guarantee a good view to the sea even through you book a sea view room (you can end up to the side of the hotel which allows you a glimpse to the sea and that’s not what you really want and pay for). When trying to call the hotel goes to a customer service desk then they transfer you to the main reception which ends up with a dropped call several times considering the call is being charged per minute (we’re not in the 80’s, take some ownership for this please), if you finally get through they won’t be able to reserve a parking space at the hotel and guide you to park elsewhere (this you can literally do yourself without the hassle and waste of time). None of these (parking and room selection) are communicated precisely until you check in which in essence makes no sense when you want to plan your stay ahead. Overall the staff is kind and friendly so no improvement needed here, the opportunity stands for the hotel management who implement procedures and policies. The rooms have a heavy smell due to the age of the building, there is a brochure that explains refurbishment undergoing in that sense. Wifi - you can have daily access if you pay for wifi (I believe it was £7/24 hours) , this is also a thumbs down nowadays (tips: if you want to charge for wifi include this in the overall price fees so people don’t obviously pick on this or just offer it with the stay like a respectable business - a coffee shop where you spend £3 for a coffee offers it for free on a daily basis, think about it). Looking at breakfast - there is full English or cereal, oats and fruit. The terrace looks pretty nice, well looked after, a nice oasis to relax your senses listening to the sea waves. There is a chess board on a bigger scale just on the terrace, this if a nice setup and addition to the hotel vibe. A very easy stay at Durley Dean, myself, my three daughters and the two dogs all shared a family room. The family room had a very comfortable double bed and a set of bunk bed.

Nice service

Great location for daytime but not so much for night. Very noisy outside until at least 3am. We had a family room and it was excellent. Loads of space in the main bedroom and then a separate bedroom with two single beds. Beds were really comfortable. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was buffet style. Large selection available and it was very good. The car parking at the hotel wasn’t great. We had to drop our cases then find alternative parking. This was not easy as all nearby car parks were full - cheerleading competition on at BIC. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

I stayed at the heathlands hotel last night and I had the best nights sleep ever as the bed was really comfortable and the bedding was comfortable as well and the duvet wasn’t too thick the bathroom was very clean and tidy but small the restaurant was shut but you could order food at the bar which I did I had fish and chips and peas which was ok but not good quality as the fish was too crispy but was reasonable for the price but I didn’t enjoy it the bar was very quiet so took my drinks to my room which was 126 and I would definitely have that room again overall I had a good stay and a good sleep

Very close to the beach and to the bus stop. A stone throw to the local shops and restaurants. Hotel is like Hotel Transylvania vibes which my family loves most specially the authentic elevator. 😁 Staff were nice as well. Amenities were good.
