I liked the hotel decor, room was confortable and my kids really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was plentiful and very busy on the holiday weekend but the the lady running the kitchen was really patience and handled the crowd very well. I asked for her name was Adina, she should be recognized!

Great stay, excellent location, very good value for the price. We had a 1 night stay, arrived late and as a IHG member everything was ready. Easy check in, room request fulfilled (3rd floor away from elevator), clean room, shower with WATER PRESSURE, plenty of options for breakfast, (hot or cold) comfortable bed and pillows. Lots of places to grab a bite to eat and beer around the hotel. We would definitely stay here agaon

The location is perfect if you have any business or social event planned in Lakewood Ranch. I was attending a charity event at the golf and country club and the location is absolutely perfect. it was 20 minutes to the beach and downtown Sarasota and 10 mins to Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. The rooms were nice and fairly updated.. The shower head could use an update, rainforest heads with separate sprayers would be nice. Instead, they have the cheap plastic spin adjustable head with low flow equipped. The beds were super firm, I prefer a more medium to soft bed and the pillows were ultra thin The plus side. the AC is one of the quietest I have ever had outside of high end hotels. So for quiet and sound sleeping, that is a plus. Also the room layout is fantastic with a nice couch and chair seating area and a central desk/ TV cabinet that you can see through. very nice room overall. Just need a softer bed and better shower head. Breakfast was OK. typical fare for this type of location. Only complaint there was the lack of bacon. Not a fan of chicken sausage patties. But overall a good breakfast and the staff kept everything filled as needed. Also, worth noting that the hotel sits right in the property of a huge shopping and dining plaza providing great breakfast, lunch and dinner opportunities and enough shopping to satisfy any wife.

I rarely write reviews but this one is necessary. We had a barely flushing toilet upon arrival and called for assistance. Because of Hurricane Ian, all rooms were full (although we saw people check in the next day) so we could not move rooms. Long story short, the maintenance person showed up the next day after 10 a.m. and he also could not fix it. We went two days without a working toilet and it was, to say the least, uncomfortable. My 81-year-old mother in law could not walk downstairs to the lobby bathroom because she has COPD. There was a sewer smell too (we were given an ADA room, so it was coming out of the drain on the bathroom floor). We had to pick up a plunger from the front desk and plunge away at the toilet again and again and again. There was some leaking from the ceiling from the hurricane. Others on our floor also mentioned the leaks - so it wasn't just our room. Ours was coming out of the ceiling lamp - enough to have to grab towels and a garbage can to catch the water. On day three, we could not take it anymore. Had to check out. We plunged toilet again and again and it finally fully flushed. I never worked so hard to get a toilet to flush. Then, the garbage disposal would not switch on and off. Bottom line is that staff was terrible at handling issues. There are many ways to handle an issue and I give them an ”F.” They also charged us the entire bill after we asked to speak with the manager upon check out and told she wasn't available for at least 30 minutes, perhaps avoiding us. We couldn't even have a conversation -- just got charged. Super passive aggressive. I think this was my worst hotel stay ever.

Exceeded expectations 👍🏻 Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the inn’s owner. I was very happy when I entered the room to find the floors weren’t carpeted, the room was clean, I was able to get restful sleep in a very comfortable bed. Thank you, Matt Erickson, for your kind attention to my reservation and requests during my stay. In addition to Matt and the owner’s excellence, I want to give kudos to the housekeeping staff. Super 8 was clean and comfortable but on entering the room it was set up to kill my girl. We came in late and there was no light available when turning on the door switch next to the door. My angel stepped into the room hands full and due to the lack of light immediately fell over a badly placed coffee table where she proceeded to fall with hands full over the table badly bruising her chin not once or twice but three times and was in extreme pain. Nice room but please consider the customers and their safety next time you place a coffee table inside a door and in the immediate walk way.
