I rarely write reviews but this one is necessary. We had a barely flushing toilet upon arrival and called for assistance. Because of Hurricane Ian, all rooms were full (although we saw people check in the next day) so we could not move rooms. Long story short, the maintenance person showed up the next day after 10 a.m. and he also could not fix it. We went two days without a working toilet and it was, to say the least, uncomfortable. My 81-year-old mother in law could not walk downstairs to the lobby bathroom because she has COPD. There was a sewer smell too (we were given an ADA room, so it was coming out of the drain on the bathroom floor). We had to pick up a plunger from the front desk and plunge away at the toilet again and again and again. There was some leaking from the ceiling from the hurricane. Others on our floor also mentioned the leaks - so it wasn't just our room. Ours was coming out of the ceiling lamp - enough to have to grab towels and a garbage can to catch the water. On day three, we could not take it anymore. Had to check out. We plunged toilet again and again and it finally fully flushed. I never worked so hard to get a toilet to flush. Then, the garbage disposal would not switch on and off. Bottom line is that staff was terrible at handling issues. There are many ways to handle an issue and I give them an ”F.” They also charged us the entire bill after we asked to speak with the manager upon check out and told she wasn't available for at least 30 minutes, perhaps avoiding us. We couldn't even have a conversation -- just got charged. Super passive aggressive. I think this was my worst hotel stay ever.
