Rooms were spacious fairly clean . Hotel needs a touch up . Pool was good on rooftop. Ask for back rooms in hotel though as all road works and lots of traffic in front rooms where we were staying very noisey. Office staff were extremely rude and unfriendly . It is very close to Old town buses and super markets which you can walk to. Beds comfortable shower good . Due to rude unhelpful front office staff from arrival probably would stay somewhere else .

This is in a great location. It is a ten to twenty-minute walk to Santa Barbara Gardens, the Braga Se Cathedral, the Roman baths, and many more sites. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent; they prepared a special dessert for us when we were visiting with some friends from the United States. It is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, Thai, Portuguese, vegetarian, Indian, and barbecue to mention some. The hotel's service is the finishing touch to the experience. It is efficient, professional, and friendly. They accommodate any reasonable request quickly and with pride. This Hotel is a Great Stay

Avoid at allllll costssssss. First of all, everything seemed really good, the room was a decent size, the bed was big enough for 2 people, although if you like to sleep in a hard mattress where when you wake up you feel like you went to war? Well their beds are the best for you then, the pillows makes your neck be in pain when you wake up of how flat they are. Also, I was there for 5 nights, and believe it or not, it was 2 people, we started with 3 toilet rolls, which we barely use on the first day, we arrived at the hotel around 3pm, went to do some quick shopping of snacks and drinks which you can easily do around you, and then we went to find a restaurant and eat and etc, so we barely used any toilet paper, the next day after the housekeeper was there, we realised from 3 toilet rolls, we only had 2, which we were confused because we had 3, but oh well. So we spent the all day in the hotel, and the toilet paper is really thin and not big, probably as big as half a toilet paper, either way, they did not leave any more toilet paper, throughout the 5 nights we were there, which is ridiculous because we either asked or bought some ourselves, which is ridiculous having to spend money on toilet paper that should be provided by the hotel. I think it was really bad, but if that is not enough to keep you away, then go ahead and book a room to one of the worst hotels in the area I would say.

Beautiful historic building. Parking was super easy and convenient, considering the issues we’ve had finding parking in other cities in Portugal and Spain. A short walk to the old town and the location was very quiet at night. The bed was super comfortable. We like a firm bed. Best breakfast on this trip. Great variety and the sweetest fruit we’ve tasted for a long time.

CCarmelaHotel eccezionale! Tutto al massimo: pulizia della stanza, gentilezza del personale, colazione ricca con prodotti freschi e ben assortiti. Attenzione massimo ai prodotti senza glutine e senza lattosio. Ambienti ben riscaldati nonostante gli spazi immensi; stanze con domotica e bagno grande super con doccia e vasca. Non si può desiderare di meglio! Complimenti al Melia! Sicuramente ci torneremo! All'esterno possibilità di parcheggio gratuito. L'unico piccolo neo è la distanza dal centro peraltro non eccessiva. Bravi i ragazzi dello staff!

The Bom Jesus site is busy during the day but dead at nighttime. There is no bar or restaurant at this hotel and the food at the neighbouring sister hotel was so poor we did not eat it. In the neighbouring village all 3 restaurants were shut so we went without evening food 3 nights running. The staff at reception were friendly and did their best but could not make up for the lack of facilities. There were no bottles of water in the room, none at reception and no place / shop to get water at the time we arrived (6:30). Room was tired although the view from the window was excellent. Braga has plenty to offer but is a €10 taxi ride away. Better staying in Braga.

[To Accor members] Am not sure if Mercure in the same city is a better choice if you are as me a loyal Accor members unfortunately. As a diamond member, I have my stay here during weekend. Luckily I asked before having breakfast as I’m told that I don’t have my complimentary breakfast, not here in Braga for anyone! As checked in the Accor page, this Braga Ibis is indifferent and shall offer the same as all other participating Accor hotels. Be disappointed by the welcome drink and the missing “welcome gift”. Not even a bottled water / muffin / so…. [To everyone] I guess we like to choose Ibis because of the reliability of the standard and quality versus the price. Here in Braga Ibis Centro, be surprised. Refer to my photo attached and find yourself in a room with mould. It’s not always easy to communicate to the staff for a change of room especially it’s already late. I’m sure there are quite a lot of other alternatives around. The decor is definitely outdated. Very unfriendly socket locations and so on…as you can expect from a hotel in the 90s. BTW, It’s not at a particularly quiet location.

PPengguna TetamuL'hôtel est indéniablement bien situé. La vue des chambres sur la ville en contrebas est magnifique. Malheureusement 4 étoiles ne se justifient pas sur ce seul fait. A notre arrivée, au lieu d'une chambre double demandée, on nous octroie une chambre avec lits jumeaux. Pour le côté romantique, on repassera. La chambre est propre mais spartiate. Pas de bouilloire ou cafetière, pas de bouteille d'eau. La salle de bain dispose d'une porte fenêtre devant les toilettes (assez particulier 🤔). L'équipement a vieilli (ex poubelle en photo). La chambre est relativement calme si on excepte les personnes qui claquent la porte vitrée juste en face de notre chambre. Le personnel est froid. Peu parle français (ce n'est pas grave) mais ne font pas d'efforts pour se faire comprendre. Peu de sourire. Le petit déjeuner est correct mais vraiment sans plus. Les fruits ne sont pas murs ou au sirop, le jus d'orange est un jus en brique, le choix est au minimum de ce qu'on attend d'un 4 étoiles. Nous avons été déçus, la vue ne peut pas tout sauver.

PPengguna TetamuWonderful Hotel and lovely staff. Everything was clean and tidy. The room was more than enough and everything was perfect. Breakfast was very good. Parking was available all the time. The hotel is close to city centre so it was easy to move around.
