Hotel Tewkesbury District dengan Sarapan

We stayed here for one night 28th to 29th of October, we are Hilton Gold members at the moment, previously Diamond. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside with views across the mendip hills. We were generously upgraded by Tigan to A Grand Hilton Suite 117, we cannot praise Tigan highly enough the suite was absolutely perfect, a delightful sitting room with a sofa bed and two comfy armchairs. There is a separate dining room leading onto a massive balcony overlooking the eighteen hole golf course. The bed was a king size lovely and comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. The bathroom is a reasonable size, with a shower over the bath. Jack and Gill basins and a bidet. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, a serve yourself buffet with fresh fruit, cold table, cereals, juices, tea and coffee. A hot buffet providing the full English breakfast. Lots of different breads, croissants, danish pastries and preserves. We absolutely loved our stay at Puckrup Hall and highly recommend it for a quick night away break, to the longer two or three weeks holiday. There is loads to see and do in the area. A lovely setting for a wedding or celebration. The pool is amazing and lovely and warm. There was a large gym, but we didn’t use it, it was well equipped and there always seemed to be plenty of people using the gym. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Tigan for the amazing upgrade.

I want to bring to the attention of the hotel and other guests a rather pressing and, dare I say, uncomfortable issue regarding the size of the toilet seat in our room. I just hope that all the rooms do not have the same issue. Much to our discomfort, the toilet seat was far too small for an average user. To put it plainly, it is so narrow that when seated, the skin on one’s posterior comes into direct contact with the porcelain itself. Not only is this a source of great discomfort, but it also raises concerns regarding hygiene and the overall user experience. While I fully appreciate the importance of space efficiency and cost-effectiveness, I believe that the health and comfort of your guests should be a priority. A toilet seat that is not sized appropriately poses a significant inconvenience, and I am sure you would agree that no one wants to endure the indignity of feeling physically connected to the cold porcelain during a visit to the toilet. I hope the hotel replaces the current seat with one that is appropriately sized or at least provide an alternative solution to prevent further discomfort for your patrons.

Have stayed here several times and usually have a good experience, except for the breakfast arrangements at the beefeater next door. On this occasion, we arrived with relatives in their 80s to find the rooms that had been refurbished and only completed that day, had no electricity. There was only one person on the desk, and it was a busy day in mid Dec. The poor girl fried frantically to get the electric working in both rooms, for over an hour, eventually moving us to other rooms on another floor, but again, no electric. We we're beginning to give up hope. Already feeling low as we were attending a younger relatives' funeral the next day. But after 90 minutes, she finally succeeded by using 2 key cards in the lighting slot, giving us light. Needless to say we were all tired and weary. To her credit she offered a refund for the cost of breakfast to compensate, and on feeding our experience back to Premier Inn, they also discounted the cost of the rooms. So we were happy with that, and generally we would stay here again. Our only other gripe is with the arrangement for breakfast in the beefeater accross the carpark. Having booked full English breakfast, that is what you expect. But being asked on arrival have you paid or not is poor practice, and would expect the booking in and restaurant services to be linked, so that question becomes mute. Then to go through each item in the English breakfast menu to be asked how many of each item is required is really unacceptable. I do hope they seriously explore a better way to greet and serve their customers. Most hotels would usually just ask your room number, which tells them if you have paid for breakfast or not, and then serve you the item as listed on the menu.

Just got back from a one night stay here and want to say how lovely it was! The building and countryside setting is exceptional. This is an old building so expect to find old fittings etc. it is very clean and the staff were exceptional !!! The food was very pleasant for the price paid. Lovely and tasty and served on hot plates. I would recommend staying here if you want to experience and old stately home in a beautiful setting.
