Hotel Breiddalsvik dengan Tempat Letak Kereta

Warmly welcomed at reception, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful decor (Nordic wood/cabin style) and excellent food options. Dinner was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. The rooms were cozy, clean, and overall very quiet. The “great room” furniture was gorgeous and cozy, and would be a lovely place to sit with a drink and friends to plan your next day. After staying in some barebones accommodations throughout the island, I’m a little surprised that some people are calling this hotel “basic” when it had more amenity and charm than many of the 15+ places I’ve stayed at in Iceland. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here on your journey in East Iceland and will absolutely return to spend the night at this hotel again!

This is yet another former school, remodelled into a hotel. We arrived towards the end of dinner service, however, we still managed to get hot dinner at this hotel, which we consider luck. Very friendly and polite staff. The room was fine, we've got the one towards the rear end of the hotel, thus super calm (we were able to sleep with open windows without any noise from the outside). Breakfast was rather standard, but sufficient to set one up for a day. It was a largely ok experience, with my criticism being towards the fact that for the price I would expect to have a hairdryer in the room (and not to have to walk to the reception to get it). Another thing is, the hotel is indeed getting older and signs of looming need for renovation are quite strong. Our bathroom was rather old...

The room was a bit small for my family of three. But the bathroom is very spacious. Room is also clean. Room does not have a kettle but there is a common pantry which was useful. The main issue was check in because the check in was not actually at hotel post itself but at the other hotel next door and instructions were not clearly given. We panicked a bit initially because we reached quite late and could not find a way to get into hotel post. Luckily we managed to call the hotel and was told that check in is in the other building.
