Brighton Black Hotel & Hot Tubs

Worst experience. Unable to check in at all… stood in an empty entrance for an hour trying to contact hotel. Paid breakage deposit - still awaiting refund 2 weeks later Unable to check in Needed to book a neighbouring hotel so I had somewhere to sleep for the night No-one available to contact via phone - all terrible answerphone services No one answers the phone or the emails I send Been trying to get a refund for the room I was unable to check into due to no staff on site for the last 2 weeks Avoid. This place is a scam

What a weird place. Firstly it was difficult to find as there is no sign on the building, then when we eventually worked it out we entered a dark hallway, painted black, and found a member of staff at a desk in what looked like one of the hotel rooms. We had to pay a £50 damages deposit without prior warning which I did receive back after a couple of days but only by repeatedly sending emails and threatening to contact the booking website. Our room appeared to be clean and was bright (understatement, the light fitting was as bright as the sun), but the window didn't meet the frame and let a horrible draught in, and the bathroom, particularly the shower cubicle, was absolutely tiny. It was nice to have a little fridge in the room with a kettle and tea bags etc, but that's probably the only good part. The hotel itself was noisy because all you could hear was room doors banging constantly above and below us. No idea where the "spa" was supposed to be - possibly in the basement, didn't fancy a trip down there! Upon checkout we searched everywhere for a member of staff (as there is no reception), knocking on doors, ringing the bell, even phoning (no one answers, ever), but as there were 2 random male guests lurking in the black gloomy hallway, apparently also waiting for staff to appear, we started to feel uneasy and just left. Worth the money? No. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. Is it even a hotel, let alone a spa? Who knows. Very odd, i've never seen anywhere else run like it.

Booked a deluxe double room for £127.00 for a night. Arrived to find we had to pay £50 (damage) deposit before we could get in. First time ever! The location didnt have a reception but a door entry system. Which went to a mobile phone with a full mailbox! Stood outside in the cold for 45 minutes. Finally found someone who worked in the spa. They tried to help but would not give contact numbers. Got in to the property and was given the key box number which was on the room door!! Room was cold, damp, small with a bunk bed arrangement. Light was painted over and falling out of the ceiling, Wardrobe was a metal cabinet found in a workshop! Radiator was not working and an electric substitue was in the room but didnt look safe. The power socket which the tele was supposed tobe plugged into was falling out of the wall. There was a fake nail on the bed. The shower room had a smell and although relatively clean had staining in the shower. We finally got a number for one of the hotels other locations in Brighton from a website. The receptionist was friendly. We explained the issue that the room was not as advertised or paid for. They explained that the computor system was to fault!!! No other rooms were available and suggested contacting another hotel in the Brighton area which they sent us the details for. We had to pay a premium rate well above our origonal book for the second hotel. The receptionist for Otto Breeze did refund out £50damage deposit on the day and the staff at the spa were helpful (although not allowed to supply information). We received a refund for the total amount of £127.00 but this was a stressful experience.

Please do not book here, the service is not existent, the room was tiny, we couldn't close the window and the fan didn't work in the bathroom so couldn't use the shower and there was no toilet rol!. The whole hotel was grubby and dusty I dread to think what state the hot tubs would be in. The 24hr concierge was none existent and to top it off they charged me twice for the room and when I did speak to someone they hung up on me because I asked for hotel managers name which was considered personal information. Complete scam avoid at all costs

Do not stay at this hotel, it's disgusting. It's filthy, noisy, small rooms, very small showers, full of bugs. I wouldn't stay there if they paid me. Definitely not worth the money. I'd rather sleep in the car.

1. Difficult to find 2.Shower Broken 3.No clean linen in a week 4. Came home to fine someone had accessed my room and was asleep naked in my bed. 5. No one answer the phone helpline I travel a lot for business and this is simply the worst place I have ever stayed. Absolutely vile

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Shocking & shocking customer service!! Worst I've had..... Booked a family room so my friend & I could have a bed each, we have a double!!! Not happy & absolutely no warning. ! cup & 1 glass in room. Cant use shower in fear of being charged if the fire alarm goes off from steam!! No ventilation so no shower had!! Broken loo brush, used soap in wrapper left in the shower & after all the stress of getting into the place the front door is constantly left open! UNBELIEVABLE!! & no one cares!!!!

On arrival we didn’t have the email to enter the property. I rang the telephone number i had a call the night before and the lady on the other end kindly helped us with the codes. When we have entered the room we could not locate any towels. I rang back the number again and after checking and calling back the lady said that there are no staff available to bring us the towels so she’ll send an uber. As much as she was super helpful and kind it was still disappointing to us as we have missed our dinner reservation having to wait for the towels to take a shower and get ready. As if this was not enough trouble, - the water in the shower was scorching hot and whatever we have tried the temperature did not go down. The water was getting hotter and hotter as we showered. I could not wash out my hair properly as it felt like my skin was going to burn if i stay in the shower any longer. Again i rang the number back and of course the kind lady was not able to send anyone to help as it was the evening. She did say that someone was going to come in the morning but we couldn’t wait to get out by 9am the next morning as we had a really unpleasant stay. Obviously we did not even attempt showering again in the morning as we didn’t want to get burned. So we left without being able to have a wash in the morning. Not to even mentioned that we barely got any sleep due to a man banging the doors and shouting somewhere in the building. Also every time my daughter moved in her top bunk the bed screeched really loudly and woke me up. I have also wrote 2 emails to otto hotels to complain and rang twice/spoke to 2 ladies who told me someone will get back to me. A week later i had no response to my complaint at all! They have totally blanked me. Very unprofessional.

They don't answer and won't send details. Even the staff at *********** said the staff only care about the money. Apar**ent smells like poo. Avoid at all costs. Should be forced to close. Staff don't have a clue. Drug abuse
