Hotel berhampiran Lili & Martha, Bruges

We stayed at this lovely little hotel in the centre of Bruges to celebrate my wife's birthday. In the room was a Happy Birthday note and a small box of chocolates. A nice touch. Our room had a view of the Belfry Tower and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were delightful and always helpful. We had the small breakfast served in the Living Room which was exactly right for us. Thank you for making our two days stay very special.

The only thing good about the hotel was the location. Every thing else was bad. This is NOT a hotel you should book if you are driving and will like to park your car. The hotel will tell you that there is a huge public parking right across but will not tell you that to get to the parking lot will take 15 minutes of driving though walking back is 5 minutes. Also there are no clear directions and the whole old town is mostly one way. Hotel is old and not well maintained. Color scheme is very dark and lights very gloomy. Paint on walls and even doors are in bad shape. Washroom need lot of upgrades. I would never again stay in this hotel in fact will stay away from NH hotel chain.

So pleased we found this gem of a hotel. Ideally placed for wandering around Bruges, we were able to store our overnight back in the luggage store, then explore before check- in opened. We were warmly welcomed by all staff whenever we had interaction with them and the service was very efficient. We stayed in room 002 which was located through the car park, but was nicely tucked away and quiet….. other than being able to hear the coffee machine through the wall of the breakfast room! It wasn’t a problem though. The room was spacious and had all amenities you would expect to find. The bed was comfortable and air con is available. We did request a double rather than twin, but had two beds pushed together with a single quilt each. It wasn’t a problem for us, but not what we asked for. We didn’t mention it, but I’m sure if we had they would have sorted it. The shower was good, and teas & coffee is available in the room. There was a fridge, but no milk. I’m sure you could ask for milk at reception if desired. All areas were exceptionally clean, and we did check out the spa, but it’s a bit dingy in the basement. Shame not to have a pool, but there is a small gym for those who need more than the extensive walking you’ll be doing when exploring Bruges itself! We did consider parking at the hotel, but they wanted us to leave a key and access is tight! We have a large car, so decided to park on Bevrijdingslaan, one of the free parking areas just a short walk from the hotel. Other car parks are available, but we were able to leave our car here for free overnight. The hotel were very helpful prior to our stay in advising the closest car parks to the venue.

Wij bezoeken regelmatig steden. In dit geval Brugge. Hierbij een hotel gevonden welk de waarde, uitstraling en authentiek is als geen ander. Dan spreek ik nog geen eens over de gastvrijheid en warmte die Hans en zijn echtgenote ons als gast hebben doen beleven. Een kamer waar niets ontbreekt. Uitermate schoon, airco, apart toilet en badkamer. De inrichting is met respect en met voelbare liefde voor de geschiedenis van het gebouw gerealiseerd. Ik benoem de mooie stoelen, het bed met historie naar Italiaanse Lucca. En met de moderne aanpassingen van deze tijd. Regendouche, dubbele beglazing, led tv en karakteristieke meubelen. Het uitgebreide ontbijt wordt geserveerd in het oudste deel (14e eeuw) van het hotel en niet alleen door de talloze broodjes, beleg, vers fruit maar zelfs zonder het ontbijt is al een belevenis. Kortom fantastisch en wij komen hier zeker nog .. keren terug.

Le sauna estt sympas le petit dejeuner il y a du choix vois etes sur de manger sucré comme salé. Chambre standard correct avec petit echantillons et cafetiere style nespresso avec 2 capsules de café 2 sachet thé mais pas de boulloir. Lit confortable le hic c est le petit frigo qui fait du bruit toute la nuit ainsi que le chauffage.

Spacious rooms with a full desk to work at and fast wifi make this hotel well suited to business travel. The location is just off the highway which is convenient, although it's located in an industrial area so not well suited for walking/restaurants. The breakfast is one of the best you will find and the bar and restaurant have a limited menu but good quality food. The staff is friendly and they provide excellent service.
