C’est la deuxième fois dans cette hôtel. La chambre etait propre . Cependant quelques petits détails manquaient. Dans la salle de bain , pas d’étagères pour poser nos affaires . Le petit + c’est le balcon et la vue latérale sur la mer .

Ich bin alleine nach Malta gereist und habe mich für das Primera Hotel, als eines der günstigsten Optionen in Malta entschieden. Prinzipiell wird im Reiseführer aufgezeigt, dass man am besten in Valletta aufgehoben ist, dies würde ich allerdings so nicht bestätigen, da man von St. Paul‘s Bay 1 Stunde nach Valletta, 1 Stunde zur Fähre Richtung Gozo und eine halbe Stunde von Rabat/Mdina entfernt ist. Ausflüge wie zur Blue Grotto führen dann nur über Valletta und man ist 2 Stunden unterwegs unterwegs mit dem Bus. Allerdings kann man das ja dann mit einer Reiseroute über Valletta verbinden oder als letzten Spot vor dem Flughafen. Das Hotel war sauber, die Zimmer mehr als genug ausgestattet und für 8€ konnte vor Ort das Frühstück dazu gebucht werden, welches etwas Englisch angehaucht war, aber für jeden etwas dabei war. Das einzige, was schwierig werden könnte, ist als veganer mehr als nur Obst und Brot essen zu können.

Went to Malta to visit family and stayed here. Lovely hotel. Staff all friendly. Close to bars / restaurants and cafes. Clean and modern decor. Room cleaned and towels replaced daily. Hotel had families/ couples and friends. Loved the pool area, was always quiet and has such a lovely view of the sea. Would definitely return!

They informed us upon check in that the room we’d be staying in is on a newly developed floor, but in no way was our room ready to host guests. It really felt like the interior of the room was there “just for show”. The wifi signal wouldn’t reach the 6th floor. There was a TV opposite the beds which was nice, but it couldn’t connect to the wifi. The beds, were actually camp beds, and their legs were bent, making me feel like it would snap any turn I make. We had a telephone in the room that wasn’t working. After having maintenance fix it through reception, it would still not connect to the reception. Our only choice was to head downstairs every time in case we needed something. The Air conditioner, which would not air condition at all, was actually a ventilation system! It was SUPER loud, and would turn on and off on it’s own every minute, waking us up in the middle of the night with its loud noise. There was a panel for it by the bed’s side, that would show temperature, fan speed etc, but wouldn’t change anything if we tampered with it, as the air was coming straight from the outside to the inside of the room, the panel was there just for show. There was almost no water coming through in the bathroom, forcing us to take 25mins each only to wash ourselves. The plumbing system was also clogged, eventually spilling water outside of the bathroom.. terrible. Even though it was spacious and a very nice looking room, only the small fridge and hair dryer were working properly. If you want to weigh your bags before your flight, be prepared to pay €1 for each bag you weigh, which is ridiculous. We didn’t complain though aside all this, as the staff of the hotel really do a great job of being the heart of it! Big thanks to the housekeeping, for changing our towels and tidying up our room every day. Big thanks also to the Ukrainian blonde lady, which would give us directions every time we asked with a big smile. And especially, big thanks to the big Serbian man that would take care of the night shifts. I regret not taking his name, but a note to the hotel’s management, don’t let that man go, he really does want to change the place for the better of its guests! The only reason I didn’t demand a room change, is because the staff was so understanding with us, and I really didn’t want to bother them! Kudos staff!

Hotel is centrally situated, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Reception is very helpful, as is all the staff. Rooms are very clean and done on a daily basis, showers lack a shelf were one can put shamp etc. Restaurant is quite small. We were on full board basis, b/fast is good with a good selection of items; lunch and dinner are good as well. Overall I recomend the hotel as very good value for money.

Great hotel... don't listen to the bad reviews, go see and make your own mind up. Me and my partner stay here everytime we visit malta. Great location and close to the sea and square. Rooms are clean and staff are great. Never had any issues. Standard 3 star hotel but its lovley.

Apart from the staff - very good and helpful, The overall experience is below average. The room and the furniture is old and dated. Nothing like what you see in the pictures.

Had a very pleasant stay at Primera. Everything was great! A huge thank you to Mr. Paul at the reception desk. He was very helpful and informative of the hotel and Malta in general. I would stay here again!

Thanks to all the staff at the Primera we had a great ten nights lovely spacious room, good comfy beds large bathroom good shower lots of hot water had a nice side view of sea which we were not expecting, all the staff right down to the cleaners were friendly had been a few years before, will be back next time we are in Malta.Its situated in a perfect spot

Please don't use this hotel it is terrible. The advertised indoor swimming pool was closed two years ago, and looks as it it will never open again. The Rooftop swimming pool is the size of a postage stamp. The mattress on the bed was lumpy, the pillows cheap. The shower had no slip mat, no handrail, and no soap holder. Breakfast was appalling and on speaking with management was informed that the breakfast is provided by outside catering. Twice in eight days I returned to my room in the afternoon to find housekeeping had not attended. I was allocated on arrival late a night, a very small room and complained and was offered for 5 Euros a night extra a room with a sea view. The only way to see the sea was to hang over the small balcony and look right down the street and see the sea at the end of the road. Some of the receptionists were helpful - especially the female ones. The males were not. Please do not bother staying here, you have plenty of other choices. I was booked in for fourteen nights and left after eight nights in disgust.
