We spent one night here as we were staying in a local appartment but my kids really wanted to use the basketball court and pool so i booked a night here. Hugely impressed by the helpful staff, early checkin, gorgeous room (i think it was an upgrade) and resort facilities for the kids. Unfortunately on our way to dinner that evening we were met with 3 or 4 huge cockroaches along the corrider heading to the doorways of the rooms, my poor 3 year old freaked out. My husband dealt with them and informed reception who got rid of them. The next morning i woke at 7am and headed for a run, i nearly passed out on opening the door. There were approx 20-30 of them all along the corridor and the adjacent corridor. I informed reception and he seemed unbothered and said its a problem in the area ( we only seem one on our balcony in Quinta Gomera appartments 5 mins away in one week ). On my return i met the cleaner who got rid of them all, poor lady i felt for her . Real shame as i would love to g back to the resort and cabanas but im worried about the cockroaches !

I was helped by a wonderful employee and wish to give a “shout out” to Gabriela in SAP. She went above and beyond to help me when I really needed it! I love Golden Club!!! This resort has everything for a fantastic vacation. I highly recommend it!

We are currently staying here. Family of 5 in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment itself is sub standard. Grubby looking and in dire need of renovation. It's like they knew we have kids so threw us into an apartment they think won't be cared for! Water damaged kitchen doors, grubby walls. One wardrobe in the main bedroom, so not enough storage for 5 of us. Curtain situation is the worst I've ever seen. We had to hang a blanket on the window. 🙈 The resort is spotless and the kids club is great. We tried to upgrade to all inclusive but they wanted to charge us way over and above what we would have paid had we booked all inclusive at the booking stage! They say they cater for gluten free but so far all we have seen are gf rolls that are frozen and you have to defrost and toast. I'd come back again if we were guaranteed a nicer apartment

On their website it says entertainment 7 days a week in reality just Friday & Saturdays. Safe in the room didn’t work & the guy behind the reception was no help whatsoever. The bathroom smelt like a sewer which permeated the whole of the apartment. Food was Luke warm & a very small selection. I could go on about other things but I haven’t got the time. Suffice it to say that we were so disappointed we booked early flights back home 4 days earlier than planned. Apart from the massage & the gym staff the rest of the holiday was a complete disaster. Would we go back simple answer not a chance.

Lovely place! Not so touristique, but on walking distance of the pittoresque small village. Bus to Tavira at the end of the park. Train station after a 2km walk.

The check in time is very late when we were with family, the room was not clean, no soap provided for shower or handwash. The check out time is early as well. The activities for the kids were only on Saturday and Wednesday. Overall experience should be improved for families. The staff were friendly and provided the required information.

Good for the price and a ok location being off to one end of the main ***** but the limited about of hot water in the room was a problem and rooms inside the hotel our outdated. Staff are great as always.
