Plas Dolguog

We had the most wonderful stay at Plas Dolguog. The location and setting are stunning, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the en suites are appointed with quality fittings and L’Occitane products, the breakfast sets a new standard for bed and breakfast, and above all else the people are warm and welcoming. What a treasure!

As a family we attend the Easter event, it was brilliant! Great entertainment and fun for the little ones while the adults enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Also a special thanks for the gluten free option. We look forward to future events and highly recommend.

Very comfortable and inviting bedroom. Cool décor and lovely Breakfast. Staff were very polite and attentive. Countryside was very beautiful with rolling hills. Went on business on the Friday but stayed an extra night to visit Port Merrion.

After a bad experience in Bournemouth, what a relief to find this hotel in the heart of mid wales , with parts of the house dating back to the 1500’s. A fantastic room , with a view over the Welsh countryside, relaxing watching the colour of the hills/ mountains change during the day while sitting on the balcony. The Full Welsh breakfast can only be described as one of the tastiest we have ever eaten, with local produce. Bed large and comfy, room clean and beautifully decorated , bath huge in the Wagner room. Dogs welcome. We will return

Booked through *********** 29th July (confirmation email on that date) for 1 night booking on 9th Sept for £130. Payment taken 9 days before by hotel when normally a couple of days before arrival date is normal practice. Then 2 days before the booked date, I received a standard email from *********** stating hotel had double booked, no explanation and I would be refunded free of charge!! No message from hotel to apologise even though they had my details, very unprofessional, I had specifically booked way ahead of time as travelling over 70 miles to a wedding, there were no alternatives available within 20 miles all booked up as they had left it so late to inform me. Very very poor way to run a hospitality business!!

Friendly and helpful service from the owner and her team. The house has been furnished with quite some flair and we appreciated the new, well-designed bathroom; however up close, the inconveniences of a very old building - lack of space, dramatically sloping floors - were more pronounced than we'd expected. The views from outside are lovely, but it might be time to make the room balconies a little more welcoming - they're slightly off-putting at present and not just because of the dismal weather. Breakfast is served in the beautiful 'music room' with the piano doubling as a buffet and was very nice.

This was the perfect getaway to kick off my summer. I stayed in the Bizet room which was a good size, nice and clean and with plenty of goodies! I loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings, and Steph (the owner) was really helpful in recommending where to explore during the day. Thanks so much!

I love this place!!! Will definitely be coming back soon. Staff were great and the room was an absolute stunner! Breakfast was fantastic and the views from the balcony were epic. I would wholeheartedly recommend.
