Didn’t book a room until the day I landed. This property kept on popping up, I didn’t want to stay in the northern suburbs as my day started early the next day in bungendore but I thought just get up earlier. Check in was easy, friendly, prompt. I received a free upgrade. The room was very nice, clean, spacious and had a nice balcony to overlook some greenery and local buildings. I found that the hotel was very quiet which I liked, no exterior noise. Had all I could ask for, my only knock which is so slight was the shower area, I’m quite tall and the shower head wasn’t high enough for me, and water pressure lacking a little. But overall 5/5 The stand out was I checked out, drove off and realised I had left my wedding ring in the room. I came back with no staff in attendance, and I had put my access card into the early bird check out box. I called the help desk, after confirming I was who I was, they cut the key remotely and I regained access to my room and got said precious. Close to plenty of eating options, shopping district. Would certainly return

Good hotel. The room was a reasonable size considering that this is a budget hotel, the ensuite toilet and shower are small but adequate. It is a bit out of town but fine if you have a car (probably public transport is available nearby, I did not check). They don't have a restaurant but you can buy a frozen meal from reception and heat it in a microwave if you like (continental breakfast can also be bought, I didn't try it).

I went down with some friends for two days of Canberra races. The location was excellent. We got ubers everyday and generally they were $9 to get anywhere we wanted.
The staff were friendly. The rooms were great.
Dickson itself has some great pubs and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Overall our stay was excellent. Could not fault it.

Saw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

A friend and I shared a two bedroom apartment at the Sebel the last two nights while visiting Canberra. This is a new hotel about two years old, the main benefit is that it is close to all the main attractions you would want to visit while in Canberra. Also the option of being able to basically share a two bedroom apartment instead of staying in two standard hotel rooms made the trip feel more special. I would definitely stay here again on my next Canberra visit. Only thing missing is that it is predominantly a place to sleep, there is no restaurant or bar at the hotel. Having said this there are plenty of places to eat walking distance to short car rides away. Although we did not make use of it the kitchenette and the washing machine and dryer would come in very handy for longer stays. Also there are three big tv’s one in each bedroom as well as the living room. In case you do feel like some of your own time.

跟上海的柏悦不一樣，這棟建築最高應該就五六樓，是一百年前就存在了的，外面看着比較普通，裏面是很古典的感覺，給人的整體氛圍是一切都恰到好處不張揚。我入住的外交官套房，浴室的階梯式深泡浴缸很漂亮，就和攜程的圖例是一樣的。客廳的設計和酒店整體的基調很相似，雖然看起來年代很久但是設計放到現在也能打，很有特色。有些酒店是很新的，比如墨爾本的麗思卡爾頓，你可以體驗到最新的設施，有些酒店比如這家柏悦，內部的裝修風格就是很經典，給人的感覺是絕不過時，經久不衰的，哪怕再過50年，有更加新的設施，更多的設計風格問世，這家酒店也有屬於它的吸引人的地方。
説完這些美好的，我來説説一些這個酒店討人厭的地方吧。陽台上的味道實在是太逆天了，我都不知道哪裡來的味道，既不是外面草坪的味道，也不是房間裏的味道，那兩個沙發真的很臟，我是不想坐，我建議你們也別坐。而且陽台非常**，還很矮，給人一種很侷促的感覺，令人非常不舒服。卧室裏是沒有主燈的，就衹有三個小枱燈，全開了也很暗，簡直就是**。還有晚上開了燈三四蟲就開始圍繞在燈上轉了。最逆天的一點，我入住三天兩晚，我遇到了大概至少20個工作人員吧，僅僅一個人對我們笑了一下，其他的人感覺都跟機器人一樣，看到了人就跟沒看到一樣，面無表情地走過，甚至還有人看到我以後跟幾把見到鬼了一樣，這眼神就一下子變得凝重起來，我尋思我就是個打扮正常長相正常的普通成年男性啊？我尋思着如家打掃衞生的清潔員有的時候見到你了心情好了也會笑着對你打個招呼吧？然後我看到一個酒店服務生非常熱情地領着一位看起來是當地人的女性顧客按電梯，哈哈，對於有沒有種族歧視我就持保留意見吧，我看到的東西也不全，不好瞎説哈，衹是如果你們想要得到柏悦級別的服務的話，希望你們看了這篇文章以後可以打個預防針，不要太失望。另外我看到很多人説澳洲酒店是沒有服務的，我在墨爾本麗思卡爾頓從入住到出來遇到的每一個服務生都會笑着和我打招呼，所以我就不多説什麼了吧。
總而言之，酒店整體是有他的特色的，但是服務真的一言難盡，至少我體驗到的是這樣，我希望你們可以得到更好的服務。堪培拉的酒店裡這個也確實是最好的酒店了，沒有什麼別的選擇，價格有的時候就悉尼柏悦的五分之一左右，價格上來説相對別的柏悦絕對是便宜的，但是我建議你們至少在服務方面不要對它抱有太高的期望。

Stayed 3 nights in a standard queen room. The room was nice, although a bit dark as I was on the ground floor with a small window facing the hotels covered entrance. The bed was very soft, maybe too soft for some. The bathroom with walk in shower was compact but functional. The hotel is close the main attractions, with free secure onsite parking. Kingston shops are close by with many nice cafes and supermarket. It has a fully mini bar in the room but I found the prices too high, $9 for a bottle of beer, so I Didnt use it. I got a great rate for my stay.

PPengguna TetamuFrom the moment we entered the lift to this hotel, we knew it was something else. The scent of the crisp, bright lobby was warm and inviting. We where greeted with the bubbliest staff, who were ready to accommodate our every need. From check in support, recommendations on eateries and general info on the area, they had every area covered. The rooms where stunning, warm, fresh and comfy. So many small smart elements that topped it off! The best nights sleep, in a dark and noise free room! This stunning hotel made us want to stay in all night and not fulfill our prior commitments. We can’t wait to be back here.

PPengguna TetamuA perfect hotel for a quick stop over in Canberra. Only a few minutes from the highway making easy access to get back to our trip. On arrival we had a lovely warm welcome, the receptionist provided exceptional service. We stayed in room 218, over looking the pool. It was a one bedroom, the living and bedroom both had tvs. Reverse cycle a/c in both rooms. Bed was very comfy and soft. Coffee and tea amenities, with complimentarily cookies! The rooms and bathroom were very clean. Shower pressure was wonderful. Toiletries were a nice touch. The other reviews mention this hotel being more a motel, I don't think that. For the price it was perfect. The only sore point was parking, we arrived late and there was only two car spots left. It is free parking though! VVidlerAlisonLocation in a lovely garden setting was perfect and parking out front of the hotel was easy and convenient. Very quiet at night.
Room (Superior King) was large, well set out and had lots of windows. Bed was extremely comfortable. Only negative was that a queen sized doona was on the king bed, which left it a bit on the small side. Bedding and pillows were all excellent of good quality. Staff were friendly,although when we asked for the doona to be replaced with a larger one, we were told upon returning to the hotel later that it had been done. It had not.
The main downside of this well-kept and attractive hotel is that there is no food or bar facilities, although they provide links to nearby cafes and other eateries. About 10 to 15 minutes walk takes you to to the main restaurant area of Manuka.

PPengguna TetamuI'm 6'3” and in all honesty the room I stayed in wasn't that Little. There is a library where I was able to walk around, stretch my legs a bit and I am sure there were other facilities I didn't have time to utilize. The staff was amazing, friendly and made me feel comfortable without being cringeworthy. The price was reasonable and the location was just perfect.

Room was a great size and layout, but was filthy on arrival! Felt gross sitting on heavily marked lounges with rubbish under cushions etc. There were big sticky patches on the tiles, rotting apple under the kids bed, food splatters on kitchen cupboards, rubbish in the lounge and everything just felt gross, On our first night we noticed none of the 4 smoke alarms had batteries, notified reception at 5pm and didn’t hear from anyone until we called again at 7.20pm, when a manager dropped off a single battery and said that should do til morning!. We asked for more batteries and installed them to have alarms continuously beep and wake our young children as something wasn’t right. It was well over an hour of googling and sorting the issue out ourselves, to find a damaged alarm was setting the rest off. By this point we had 4 kids asleep and 2 distressed and exhausted after a day of travel, we were told we could move all of our stuff to another villa with working alarms if we wanted. Thankfully my husband was able to take a working alarm from the empty villa and replace the broken one. A very disappointing and stressful first night! We had to constantly chase for clean towels, had no dishwasher tablets or garbage bags left in the room etc, and there were ants everywhere that spoiled food in the kitchen and were even crawling all over the bedding in one of the kids rooms (probably because there was rotten fruit left under the bed!). All in all it wasn’t very relaxing and I definitely wouldn’t stay again. Especially not for over $400 a night! I did try to discuss issues with staff at the time and was handed a business card and told to email my feedback, they’ve conveniently not replied to the last 2 emails, so I’m interested to see if they reply to reviews!

PPengguna TetamuThe Forest Hotel is best great value for money in Canberra. Whilst it was created in the 1960s, is a solid construction. It is family owned which makes it a very special place in Canberra. From the Owners down, to Reception or the Cleaning Staff they are committed to making your stay in the Forest great. They pride themselves on being the best! They have a great restaurant Monday to Friday. It’s at night, which does takeaway and room service – they have really nice specials. The pizzas are pretty good as well. I regularly go to Canberra and the Forest is my home from home. The Forest is the best, Forget the rest!

We arrived earlier than normal check in time and they accommodated us with little wait time.
Room was clean and tidy nice hot showers as were from WA it was -1 when we arrived.
No complaints front desk staff were super friendly and helped with and questions we asked regarding places to go and see while here on our short stay.
Would stay again, definitely recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We paid nearly $2000 for the 3 bedroom apartment and it is very obvious that they NEVER get cleaned. They may have ‘cleaners’ employed but they do not clean a single thing. The carpet is absolutely disgusting and if you have a crawling baby do NOT stay in here. The quilts are covered in what looks like poo or blood stains and we had to ask the ‘cleaners’ for new ones but don’t think they will put them back on for you, they will dump them in a pile on the lounge. You get given half the amount of towels you need for the people in the room and the sign says place towels in the shower and they will give you new ones. We had 6 people in our room and had to collect fresh towels from the pool area and they would take ALL 6 and replace it with 3. I don’t understand why a 3 bedroom apartment would have 1 bathroom but the 2 bedroom apartments have 2 bathrooms. We know this as family stayed on the other side and those rooms were slightly better. Our shower was so mouldy and the spa bath is broken, not that I would use it anyway cause I can’t even imagine the crap inside those jets when the entire apartment doesn’t even get cleaned. The shower door doesn’t even close properly ( see pics) so you either let the water pour out on the floor or use hulk strength to slam it shut as it scrapes all the metal. The bathroom door into the bedroom also has to be shut with hulk strength as it also scraped along the floor and gets jammed. Furniture was falling apart, beds, tables, lounges ( see pics) the table leg was about to fall straight off. Basically all the drawers were filled with crap left from the previous person that stayed, maccas coupons, face masks, chocolate and wrappers, a razor. Again I repeat, these apartments do NOT get cleaned. Oh and they give you 2 toilet rolls for a family of 6 and if you pop down to Woolies and buy your own so that you can actually wipe your bum and your family can wipe their bums, don’t leave your packet of toilet rolls near the toilet because the ‘cleaners’ will in fact start taking YOUR own supply of toilet rolls to put on the holders, taking WITH THEM half a roll of toilet paper that wasn’t used. All YOUR own toilet paper. Moving on to the kitchen, the website says fully stocked kitchen but if you were thinking of actually cooking in your oven think again cause 1. You will burn your hands off getting anything out cause there is literally nothing to use and there are also zero trays to actually cook anything on. The website also says fresh tea towels daily but we never had a single new one in 5 days. If you are also thinking you would like the convenience of a private washing machine, don’t bother, it’s broken and not one staff member will tell you and they don’t put a sign on it. There was, however, some tape in the lock section we took a guess that maybe it’s broken or was the tape so it didn’t close shut all the time and go mouldy. PPengguna TetamuTV had hardly any free to air channels working, o Netflix and no YouTube. Smart TV was not programmed. All table tops and bench tops were grimy with streak marks. Bathroom floor was never cleaned before we arrived or during our stay. The small fitness area was never cleaned in the 4 days we used it. Someone left a can of Sprite and chewing gum on the bench as soon as you walk in and it was there for 4 days. Things only get done if you complain to front desk.
