Overall the Rui resort was a great stay! The employees were so friendly and super helpful. I never met anybody nicer in my life. The resort was always clean and everywhere you looked there was employees cleaning. The food is was okay for what it was. What else do you really expect from a all inclusive resort? The buffet was great so we always ate breakfast at the buffet (had many options) and then we’d walk down the street to the burger spot, taco place or further down to the mall where they have a bunch of restaurants for lunch and dinner. We felt safe walking outside of the resort. My tips is just make sure you don’t brush your teeth with the tap water and just use the bottled water. Overall great stay at the Rui Resort

Overall it was great trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The pools and beach were great. I was nervous about the no reservations for the restaurants but overall we did not wait long. The buffet had great food .. fresh .. loved it for breakfast and lunch. The dinners weren’t bad but didn’t love all of them. They had activities and entertainment which was nice. I would say the drinks were pretty watered down. Rather just make a decent drink the first time than ask for more. Many of them were so sugary, but overall it was a good selection.
I would go back .. it was a very enjoyable trip !

We spent a week at the RIU Kukulkan and really enjoyed the service provided. Each night they put on shows and have live music. We were able to go to two of the RIU parties and were apart of the VIP bar area. The restaurants are available every night yet depending on the wait times could very. Overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be going again.

New modern rooms, very clean. delicious food in the couple of restaurants we went to. You don’t have to make reservations for restaurants, they give you the buzzer when they are ready for you. Great bar Service around pool and beach. Entertainment staff are fun! Great evening shows!

Everything was perfect until it was time to leave. The transportation services left our group at teh hotel. We had to uber back to the airport.

Overall, it is an excellent venue. It is a little smaller than other all-inclusive, making for an intimate experience. The reservations for the nicer restaurants were a bit problematic and could result in a long wait. My room was less than desirable as it had a completely obstructed view. The site should do a better job being eco-friendly, with less straws! My solo travel was fairly comfortable.

In general, it is a great hotel to stay in Cancun, the property is really nice and clean, the rooms are spacious and very well equipped, beautiful gardens, plenty of activities, live music and shows almost every night, great atmosphere.
Check in process was fast and easy, we arrived early and our room was not ready, but they invited us to start using the facilities but shortly after they had the room ready for us.
Most of the staff were nice and polite, my only suggestion is that they need to add more stuff for the beach area since some times we had to wait a long time for an umbrella. It would usually be just one person to tend everyone at the beach.
The food was good with plenty of dinning options, unfortunately most drinks would taste awful probably due to the cheap liquor they use ( normal in most of the all inclusive hotels).
The service at restaurants were excellent, the staff in the main restaurant Don Julio where they serve breakfast and lunch was exceptional, I want to mention the outstanding service we received from Ismael and Monse, they really went above and beyond.
In my opinion the hotel offered value for the money.
We will definitely return and strongly recommend this hotel.

Pros - excellent and friendly service from everyone. Food quality and variety was awesome. Spacious rooms and very clean public spaces. Plenty of beach chairs.
Cons - beach umbrellas were falling apart and should be updated. Drinks at beach bar were awful, go to lobby bar instead. Need more bathrooms at beach and pool areas
