Grand Hotel Cape May

Hotel is very nice, updated and modern. The issue with the room is you can hear everything above you and from the room next door. It is as if the walls and ceiling are made of paper. Every footstep, and conversation can be heard. Hemmingway restaurant was nothing special. Again, looks nice but their Saturday buffet breakfast was about as basic as it gets. The bloody Mary I ordered was horrible. It tasted like shrimp cocktail. I was hoping that they made a mistake and put cocktail sauce in instead of tomato juice, but was told that was their normal recipe. It was just awful. Hotel is about a 15-20 min walk into the heart of the town.

From the moment we walked inside the main lobby. It was so clean and lightly colored decor. Not too many rugs, very clean. The room was so beautiful and well equipped and the balcony view was amazing. I do suggest a lifeguard for the indoor pool. Children were not properly watched by their parents playing rough in the water. So maybe a set of rules for someone to imply like a lifeguard. Other than that amazing cant wait to come back !

Awesome hotel, beautiful, right across from the beach, and a great price! Stayed only one night since we were there for the USCG graduation, but wish we stayed longer!

I came to Cape May to attend my friend's son's graduation from United States Coast Guard boot camp. After a long trip from the west coast, it was absolutely wonderful to be able to rest from my trip at the Grand Hotel. Approaching the hotel there was plenty of parking. Check in was a breeze (so was the weather...40mph gusting up to 60). The staff member checking me in was polite, professional, had a pleasant and friendly personality. She took time to give me handouts about the area including food establishments in the area that deliver food to your room. She was very helpful and for my whole stay all the staff answered my questions and all had wonderful personalities. Entering my room I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was immaculately clean. The bedding and towels looked and smelled clean. No bed bugs present. I was also suprised to find a small refrigerator/freezer, a closet equiped with an ironing board and iron, and when I opened up the cabinet under the bathroom, I found a hair dryer! Nice lighting above the sink in the bathroom. Two people can get ready for an event...one can shower in the bathroom with the door closed then use the sink and mirror to get ready while another person can get ready at the second sink with large mirror immediately adjacent to the bathroom. It really expedites getting ready if two people are on a tight schedule. The room had a round table, a table in front of the couch (fold out bed), cable TV, a nice chest of drawers, and the bedsid

Great location! Hemingway’s served great food and offered a fun evening with music. The room was ok but location was perfect.

Nice hotel, clean, reasonable rate. Great bar. Restaurant ok, dinner hade a snafu, breakfast was fine. Nice location across from beach

The hotel was great, but we were supposed to be in a room that slept five people, but the room only slept four, and we needed to bring a cot in, so it was extremely crowded in our hotel room and not comfortable to sleep.

Our stay at The Grand Hotel was nice. Hemingwas was very convenient, atmosphere was great, drinks were great, service pleasant, the only down fall of hemingways was my steak was over cooked when I asked for medium. Buratta salad was delicious! The rooms were clean, well maintained. However the mattresses were very uncomfortable, very hard and noisey. That was the only negative thing about our stay.

Property is very nice, clean and well maintained. Smooth check in with friendly staff. Only downside was server at restaurant was a little lacking she was good when we saw her but there was a span of 20 plus minutes where we sat with empty glasses. Would stay here again.
