Our 2nd long term stay in this hotel and again was not disappointed, Apart from two issues no complaints what so ever. Hotel is high end, good location close to supermarkets / restaurants / sea front area , very clean , staff extremely friendly helpful , two good quality restaurants , rooms very comfortable , felt very relaxed during my whole stay. Only complaint is the roof top pool area and access to that area Too many people eat food in the pool area , eat food by the side of the pool with bits of food dropping into the water, people drink from glass receptacles which is dangerous as I witnessed glasses being dropped and broken on the pool floor and that is dangerous for guests walking about in with no foot ware. However the biggest bug is access to the hotel accommodation areas and pool area. Access is gained by using eye recognition software , but during my 10 week stay I noticed people tail gaiting after actual guests enter through the access barriers when they themselves do not stay in the hotel The tail gaiters then travel via the lift to the pool area on the top floor where again , as they are not guests they cannot gain access to the pool area as they are not registered with the eye recognition soft ware , so they wait till actual guests enter the area and follow them in I spoke to some of these intruders who I had recognised as being repeat offenders and they advised me that there was no pool area in the hotels they were staying in so to use the Station House hotel pool was an easy option as access was easy.There were no checks to make sure they were staying there!!!! If people can tailgate to the rooftop pool they could in theory access the accommodation levels where guests stay I did mention this issue in person to the front desk a few days before I left.
