Albergo la Prora

Great location and views of the harbor. Staff were outstamding and provided wo derful recommendations. Room was small but emmaculately clean.

We enjoyed our stay at Albergo La Prora in mid-November - just after the "off season" started - we felt like we had the island to ourselves. The rooms were "cozy" but had all we needed. We could have been happy without the balcony as the weather was a bit cold, so we did not use the small balcony at all. But the views were incredible and this was a great home base to explore Capri. Very close to the bus stops, shops, restaurants, and hiking. The beds were comfortable. Rooms are not sound proof but we nearly had the place to ourselves, so we weren't bothered. The breakfast was tremendous and a necessity as I don't recall seeing any pastry/coffee places nearby. We enjoyed our last breakfast on the terrace, despite the chill in the air, it was beautiful! Our host was great at communicating regarding weather, ferry schedules, and our ETA as we arrived after the sunset - which made for a bit of a challenge to find the walking path that led to front door :) They do give you a key to the front door, so after hours guests are responsible to lock/unlock as they come and go. Downside to visiting Capri in the "off season" is that hours listed online for restaurants are very unreliable - many places were shut down for the season, so we relied on our host for recommendations, but even some of those were not open. Upside was we had zero crowds and hiking trails all to ourselves. We are still talking about the Pizza we ate at Casa Orlandi Ristorante in Anacapri! It's just at the first bus stop in Anacapri across from where you catch the chair lift ride - which is also a MUST!

All we are saying is that we will recommend this hotel and if we come back to Capri we will stay here again. Thanks to you 3.

Great little hotel, 100 mts from downtown Capri town, we had a great time and Orlando, the manager, was of great help. Almost all the rooms have a stunning view of Capri, Marina Grande and the Gulf of Naples including Ischia and Procida islands. The rooms are not that big but more spacious than other Hotels we have been to, good breakfast. Recommended as a 3 star budget hotel!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in Room 20 at La Prora, and let me tell you, it was a stay we'll cherish forever. One of the highlights of our trip to Capri was undoubtedly the outrageously gorgeous view we had from our room. The spacious balcony took our breath away every morning and evening. Now, I must admit that the room itself was compact, but who needs a massive room when you have a panoramic view of Capri Island, the Naples Bay, and the majestic Mt. Vesuvius right outside your window? The hotel staff deserves a special mention. They were always very friendly and courteous, ready to assist with any request and share local insights. Their warm welcome added to the overall charm of our stay. We enjoyed the super-fresh breakfast in the cozy dining room. The homely atmosphere made us feel like we were having breakfast at a friend's house. We chose to have ours on the small but lovely terrace next to the reception area. In all, our experience at La Prora was nothing short of delightful. The combination of the incredible view and friendly staff made our stay truly special.

The room has a balcony with amazing view .. the staff were lovely and helpful since we arrived till check out .. good breakfast The only drawback we had big bags and no elevator but the staff didn’t hesitate to help us without us asking

This was our favourite accommodation during our Amalfi Coast trip. Orlando and Marco were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond, and the 24 hour concierge staff were also very helpful. The view from our balcony was stunning, perfect to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. Orlando and Marco make fresh almond croissants every morning, along with made-to-order espresso, cappuccino, whatever your heart desires. The accompanying breakfast buffet will leave you full for a beautiful day in Capri. We can’t say enough about this beautiful auberge, and would not stay anywhere else when visiting this island.
