Four Seasons Hotel, Carlingford

I had to ask to be move rooms 3 times due to the dirt of the rooms. 1st room I jumped on the bed and all dust fell off the headboard onto my face, dust also on light fittings, pic frames, phone. The bathroom was absolutely vile - orange body fat and black mould on the shower, tiles and grout, sink had a rim of scum around the plug hole and the overflow hole in the sink full of black dirt/mould. 2nd Room - wasnt as dusty but the bathroom was worse than above 3rd room - lil bit Dusty, shower was cleaner than the other 2 bathrooms but the sink was still manky dirty. at that stage i was so tired and needed a shower( wore my flip flops in the shower) i took the room. The swimming pool and changing rooms could do with a deep clean also and the floor in the sauna was black. The 3 stars are for all the staff i came in contact with, every single 1 of them was so lovely and helpful. EXCEPT the general manager I met was very patronising and spoke down to me. Until I told him the below. I studied hotel management in college, worked in many hotels. I stayed in some of the I now own a cleaning company for the past 10 years, we specialise is gym cleaning. I know what I'm talking about here. For a four star hotel I would expect every single room to be immaculate. This is why I pay to stay in nice hotels so I'm in a clean space. Very disappointed and I will never go back.

Myself and DH had a really enjoyably stay in the Four Seasons. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Our bathroom had a fantastic shower with very easy controls and great water power. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant a few times and really enjoyed it. All in all it was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back.

Stayed for three nights with my wife and daughter bed and breakfast. Room was great, breakfast was great but honestly it's the staff that stood out for the three of us. Unfortunately I was too switched off to get names but the gentleman who checked us in was professional, attentive and was genuinely lovely to our eleven year old daughter. All the staff at breakfast and dinner could not have been better in doing their job. We will definitely return. Well done.

Popped in for lunch recently and our meal was delicious.Really fresh & tasty.We were served by a lovely young woman named Georgia who really couldn’t do enough for us. We look forward to returning again some day in the future to the Four Seasons.

Great location and a lovely hotel. Excellent dinner. Very nice breakfast. Easy car parking. Good for families and couples. Village within easy walking distance to hotel. Staff very friendly will definitely return . A very pleasant stay.

Went for a wedding and stayed two nights. Everything was perfect, even had a perfect 4 course vegan meal at reception, delicious! I would highly recommend everything about this hotel , accommodation, spa , staff food and surroundings, right down to the friendly resident ducks.

We attended a wedding at this lovely hotel in carlingford. From arrival until we left the hotel, staff and food were fabulous. We were upgraded to suite and it was a really lovely room. Spotlessly clean and nice and modern. All the staff were chatty and friendly and were always happy to help. All in all a really lovely hotel in the scenic seaside town of carlingford.

Had a lovely time, the hotel staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly. The dinner was fab served in the very atmospheric restaurant/bar. Carlingford is a lovely place to visit one of the most scenic places in Ireland, surrounded by mountains.

Absolutely Fabulous, as a group leader of 28 ladies, it was a total pleasure to deal and stay in Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford. From original enquiry with Mairead to our arrival, it was all flawless. From Check-in to Check-out for 28 people was easy and organised. Dermot the Manager greeted us on arrival and provided our group with 1st Class service with every attention to detail. His professionalism along with humour was sincerely appreciated. Although a large wedding was in progress, our smaller group felt unique as a guest. Rooms were excellent with all the essentials and so comfortable. Our evening meal for 28 ladies was presented timely and the food was excellent. All staff 100% dedicated and made the experience for us all so enjoyable. Breakfast was again really lovely and right through to our departure, the staff were on-hand to ensure our experience was first class. We gratefully appreciated all the efforts and dedication from the team at Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford. All our ladies are looking forward to returning. Thank you all, Dermot you looked after us so well. We will be back!
