While my stay wasn’t anywhere as bad as other reviews listed the opportunities for improvement are big. App indicated mobile key was delivered- it didn’t open anything which was especially bad since it was dark and raining, I found a reasonably close parking space to a side door but couldn’t get in, while this seems small overall it set the tone for the entire stay. Arriving at desk to get a real key only one person at desk and one person in-line, I don’t know what this person wanted but it took close to 25 minutes for him to agree he needed to talk to management who would not be in until next business day. During this extended wait the time was now after 730p and was hoping to grab a light bite in the lounge as this location is out away from city and nothing is close, food is promptly removed at 730 so by 735p you are SOL. In entering the lounge it had stairs, and absolutely no signage to indicate a ramp was available on another side to allow for access for those with mobility challenges or people like me loaded with gear you can’t leave in the car. Now let’s talk about parking, I have no issue paying for parking when I get something for it, other flagship Marriott’s in the area offer valet or free parking, here you are paying via a third party app, so it doesn’t populate as part of your hotel stay and for those who travel for business this is a huge pain in the neck especially when this is a money grab only. No security, not a well lit lot and not even an especially clean lot. Very disappointed. Room was thankfully as expected which made the stay a bit more bearable. Remember it is the seemingly little things that matter!!
