Agriturismo San Leonardello

Beautiful location, lovely friendly family, delicious meals and a genuine experience with beautiful views of both Mt Etna and the sea. Perfect location to stay with our young boys. They loved all the play equipment and especially the amazing swimming pool and friendly Lily dog

Unfortunately our stay was not what we expected. The whole location probably used to be really nice, but nowadays faded glory in our opinion. The owners/staff are rarely around, only the housekeeping person (Antonella we thought) is seen regularly, since she is there for housekeeping, cleaning the property, serving breakfast, serving dinner... The swimming pool is salt water but still nice though. The dinner that can be booked is extremely overpriced. It was 45€pp and a basic antipasta, starter, pasta and desert. Wine is really cheap wine, at least that's how it tasted. Really sour... The rooms are really outdated, if you have just a room and no small appartment, then expect there are no glasses, no water... nothing. Wifi is really bad to zero all over the property. At the pool, in the room, everywhere. The breakfast is ok, but don't expect much. There is cake, but untill the one that is presented isn't finished, there won't be any new one. Even after a couple of days. Fresh marmalade of cumquat, manadarine, orange... but marmalade is quite difficult to eat for children as it has a really strong taste. There are some yoghurts but if you are late, probably only the plain ones and not the ones with fruit. Fresh fruit can be asked though. Next to that, some slices of bread and some piccolinis, together with some ham (cotto or crudo) and cheese. The location is great, close to the center of a small village, views on the Etna, and a lot of fruit trees... The star of the property must be Lily, the short legged jack russel and is just too cute... all day long cuddling and playing with the kids. For us, unfortunately it was way overprices, the accommodation, the food, the service... and we don't think we would come back.

Sejour cycliste en Sicile. San Leonardello etait notre point final, avec montee de l'Etna a velo, et circuit vers Naxos et Taormina. Le gite est situe dans une plantation d'agrumes. Confitures maison servies au petit dejeuner sont a tomber par terre (ne pas manquer la mandarine). Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes mais ont du caractere et vue sur l'Etna et la cote a ~3km a vol d'oiseau. Diners tres bons et varies, produits frais, servi avec 1/4 de vin local et fini par le limoncello du cru. Je recommande pour un sejour repos au bord de la piscine.

Partie avec mon fils de 8 ans. Très bonne expérience dans de magnifique agriturismo : très jolie chambre, environnement magnifique au milieu des citronniers, vue sur l'Etna et la mer. Propreté irréprochable, très bon petit déjeuner et un repas excellent et typique. Gentillesse des propriétaires et de la dame qui sert le petit déjeuner. Un petit chien Lili adorable qui a fait le bonheur de mon fils et une piscine très appréciable en ces temps de canule... Que demander de plus ? le prix ? irréprochable ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour...

Giornata stupenda, buona ospitalità. Un posto da visitare, ci tornerò e porterò gente che ne resterà meravigliata dal luogo e tutto. Antipasti abbondanti, primi piatti e secondi di ottima qualità. Per l ottima qualità il prezzo è buono, il servizio eccezionale e ottima musica
