Hotel di Carvoeiro dengan Kolam Renang

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location - we went at a time where it was a little quieter but still sunny. They town is small and cute and during summer I’m sure there’s more entertainment. The staff in the beginning weren’t as welcoming but after that they were all very pleasant. We did mention it’s our anniversary but as this was in the beginning with staff that weren’t bothered nothing was done. Other staff were very very nice and always so helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the bar at night was also lovely.

Quarto grande e silencioso mas os armários são velhos e as cortinas sujas e com partes emperradas. Varanda grande porém suja e precisa de uma atualização na pintura. Banheiro com bom espaço porém com cheiro forte que vem do ralo. O quarto é grande e seria bom ter um lixo adicional porque só tem no banheiro e na cozinha. A mini cozinha tem um bom frigobar mas os armários e pia são bem antigos, com cheiro forte. Senti falta de detergente e bucha na cozinha. Pelo nível do quarto justificaria ter uma Nespresso, seria muito bom. Ponto favorável são as toalhas de ótima qualidade tanto no quarto quanto na piscina. A área da piscina é linda, jardim bem cuidado e cadeiras top para deitar. O bar é interessante também mas não usei porque achei os preços um pouco caros. Café da manhã médio, sugiro suco de laranja fresco para melhorar e mais opções de pães. Jantamos um dia no hotel, não recomendo, é serviço de buffet e a comida não estava boa, foi caro. Melhor fazer as refeições fora.

Pestana was a bit hit and miss, your enjoyment of your stay all depends on what neighbors you get as the rooms are NOT in the slightest bit soundproof as advertised.  I would love to give 5 stars just based on the staff and the facilities for the price you pay but this is the least soundproof place we've ever stayed in and we've stayed at Ibis and Travel Lodge and even they didn't have paper thin walls. I'm quite annoyed at the false advertising of soundproof as that's what our booking was based on for a week and half of peaceful break. I understand the hotel can't control who checks in and where they stay and how noisy they are, however we would have avoided Pestana if we knew how thin the walls are. We also did not like having to pack and unpack 3 times but it's what we had to do to tey get good nights sleep to enjoy our holiday. Upon arrival we checked into G61, we could hear every step every person made up the stairs and along the top floor as  as every draw or door being closed. There is absolutely no privacy when sitting outside the lounge in the garden, the table next door is literally 1m away as well as their sun lounges. Due to noisy kids we asked to be moved.  Reception lady was freindly and pleasant and made every effort to move us, she gladly checked availability and got another room ready for us while we went for a hike. We then checked into 27. This house was also not soundproof whatsoever. We could hear the neighbors TV  but it was quieter as there were no kids constantly running up and down the stairs. However our peace was short lived as 2 days later our new neighbors came home every morning at 2am and made a noise till 4am and then woke up early too continuing with their noise. All we heard constantly was doors closing, showers running, loud steps, talking, constant whistling and you can even here them plugging things into the walls. So needless to say we were exhausted from the lack of sleep for days which made our stay unpleasant. We then moved a 2nd time to G67 which was the same block of terraced suits as the first one. Luckily our neighbors on either side were quiet but on one side they woke up at 6am every morning which meant we did too due to the lack of soundproofing. Basically if you're in your aparent you are subjected to constant banging from cupboards and doors, hearing every step made up m down stairs and the plugging in of appliances into the adjacent walls. All 3 rooms had pretty much the same layout with decent sea and garden views. There is quick easy access to the cliffs infront and a short walk to 2 beautiful beaches on either side of the resort, as well as a quick 2km walk down into town.  We didn't eat at the restaurant on site as we self catered and there are also many great restaurants in town and the best sushi takeaway in Lagoa. Intermarche supermarket is a 5 min drive away and had a great selection of everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Had a few maintenance issues in the 1 apartment,

First impression of the hotel were good, perfect location for us at the top of Carveiros main road near restaurants but far enough away to not be noisy. Reception and restaurant look to have all been recently decorated, nice and light decor. However I wouldn’t recommend the hotel for the reasons below - $40 for safe - $20 for safe cost and additional $20 deposit which you get back when you return the key. Our room keys didn’t work so had to go back to reception for that then when we got in the adjoining doors were locked so back down to reception again for those to be opened up. The rooms are very very dated and look dirty in parts. The plug socket by the bed buzzed and crackled so I unplugged it all holiday. The pressure on the shower was great however the bath didn’t drain very well and the hairdryer was really poor. The thing that spoiled the hotel for me the most was the 2 cleaning ladies, they did their job well but they were so rude, never smiled seemed angry with us if we weren’t ready for our rooms to be cleaned when they came - and it wasn’t like we were awkward as we were out and about from 11 every day and left the sign on the door to let them know. One day we were out from 9 on a trip came back at about 4 and they were cleaning our rooms, glared at us and told us to go away. Towards the end of our holiday my heart would sink if they were on our corridor. I usually leave a fairly decent tip for cleaning ladies when we’re away but not this time. On a positive note the breakfasts were really really nice, good selection all fresh and well presented and the hotel also has an indoor pool which was useful for us as we had a couple of cloudy days although this area too could do with a lick of paint and a bit of basic maintenance on cracked tiles and to be generally freshened up which it looked like the spa area had had already. I don’t think the hotel is a 4 star and based on the rooms would struggle for 3 star. Carveiro is lovely but I would not stay at this hotel again.

AMAZING! I will 100% return to Hello Villas. The pool is a great size and the pool bar has a simple menu with sandwiches, pizza, chips and drinks and is reasonably priced too. There is a barrier and porter at the entrance/exit so it felt very safe with children. Just a 10 min walk to the centre where there are plenty of places to eat and drink and shop. The walk is steep so coming back up takes a little longer and would be a challenge with a buggy or small kids/older travellers but the taxi cost around €4/€5 which we took at night and walked in the morning. The beach is stunning, the coastline is amazing and there are plenty of place to walk where you will see something different every time. We climbed through caves and jumped into the ocean and swam in cave pools. We had the 2 bed villa which was huge. Came with a washing machine and everything you could need. Beds covers and towels were changed regularly and the villa cleaned. We stayed 10 night and could have stayed 10 more

Context - 12 night stay, family with 2 young teenagers in August We stayed in Villa 100, a 'luxury 2 bed townhouse' Accomodation: Great accomodation, some maintenance required, but not important. The accomodation was spacious, clean, beds were really comfortable, showers were great, loads of kitchen storage, sofas really comfortable, effective air com, kitchen with 4 burner hob, ovem, microwave, toaster, cofferr machine, washing machine and dryer. 5 star comfort, and nearly 5 star appearance (just a few maintenence piece needed ie chips in kitchen cupbaords, locks of bathrooms not aligned etc) Outside the accomodation we had 2 loungers, 4 would have been better, a table with 4 chairs with a few of a small pool. The pool near our villa was excellent. We generally were able to get this to ourselves at some points in the day, and there were always loungers available. This isn't the main pool. The main pool is a couple of minutes walk from the villa, and again excellent. it was quiet, but still an atmosphere, no problem getting loungers. On one day we had to hunt down an umbrella. There is also an indoor pool, that opens out to a terrace. Didn't think we'd use it, but it was really nice, and we used that as well. Useful when it's windy and the outdoor pool got chilly. The spa was good. My wife had a treatment that she said was very good. there was a steam room and sauna, both good, a small gym (didn't use). Jacuzzi was open, but didn't seem to work ie no bubbles! Outdoor pool bar was closed for refurb, but an indoor alternative was available. Restaurant was probably the biggest disappointment. We were self catering, used it once, and didn't return. The food was ok, but comparing it to the external restaurants we ate at, was nowhere near as good and significantly more expensive. Service in the restaurant was more comparable to a 3 star hotel. What was particularly disappointing was that 'portuguese' night was just a subset of the standard A la carte menu. Housekeeping were variable, ranging from spectacular to average! Some days they even unloaded our dishwasher which was a lovely touch. Other days they took away hand towels and didn't replace them. Resort did not have much to do for teenagers, other than making their own entertainment in the pool, but for us that was fine. Overall, a hotel is pleasant, lovely pool areas and accommodation is extremely comfortable but let down by the restaurant. Outside of the resort, in Carvoeiro we ate at 'Elliots' in the centre, and 'Recanto da Boavista' (2 minute walk from the hotel). Both of these restaurants were excellent, and catered well for my son who has a milk allergy. The other place we went to in Carvoeiro was Sandoskas. Again really good, but more cheap and cheerful. Whilst their bread contains milk, their baguettes don't, so hot dogs with baguette is a milk free option! The ice cream shop opposite also does a good range of vegan ice creams. Just got back from a week here. We used it as a base for cycling which was ideal as the location was perfect to explore the area. There is an Intermarche 0.9 miles away. We had a 2 bed villa which was very spacious. Loved the separate lounge area and kitchen and of course a spare room. Yes it is dated and 1 of the beds was really noisy but was adequate for our needs. Villa Our villa faced the main road, which although seems small it was incredibly busy and we were disturbed every night, throughout the night by noisy traffic. There is a very small balcony area which didnt get the sun but the views were quite nice and you could see the sunrise. Food We were really disappointed, having stayed half board in many hotels of varying star ratings, this was by far the worst. Breakfast was childrens cereals (3 of), cold bacon, cold scrambled egg, toast, yoghurt, very watered down juices. Nice fruit salad, selection of cold meats and a cheese. It never changed. The evening meal was from a menu, hit and miss, most of the meat choices were tasteless and dry, the fish and lasagne were nice. I prefer a buffet style by choice. The waiting staff worked hard and were polite. Pool Outside pool was fantastic, plenty of sunbeds, large pool that didnt make your eyes sting or smell of chlorine. We didnt use the indoor pool. Wifi What wifi, there was none available in the villa and even when you went to the pool area or reception it was hit and miss. We needed it to upload our routes for the next day and it became an issue on occasion. There was no atmosphere at the hotel and I appreciate we came at the end of the season. I dont think we would stay here again sadly.

I felt compelled to leave a review for this resort as it was one of the best I have stayed in and I thoroughly recommend it. We were a family of 4 and stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with our own pool. The wonderful experience started before we even arrived at the booking stage. The hotel were extremely helpful and even booked our transfers from and to the airport. We arrived on our first day a couple of hours delayed. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and arranged for the diner to stay open to provide us with some food. My family are quite fussy eaters so the restaurant was a bit much for us so we stuck with pizza. Our villa was quite far from reception so one of the reception team drove us there in a golf buggy of sorts. This was very welcome after travelling most of the day and with all our cases. The villa itself was perfect. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a giant open plan living space leading on to the bedrooms (all with ensuite) and kitchen (totally kitted out ) and seperate utility area. Then out to the garden area with a large pool with steps for easy access in and out. Six comfortable loungers, Dining table and 6 chairs. The pool was also accessible from the downstairs bedrooms which was great for my boys to go in and out without getting the whole villa wet. When you arrive you are sent several Whatsapp messages which provide all the information you need on the resort including restaurant details, transport to nearly beaches, spa and much more. The Whatsapp link to reception was one of the best things as on several occassions we were able to get reception to book us taxis and answer general queries. On one occasion we contacted reception to see if they could bring something to get rid of the ants which kept appearing which they did straight away. On another occassion after coming back from the nearby town at about 10pm our air conditioning was not working so i contacted the front desk and someone was at our villa before i got down the stairs. Issue fixed straight away. There is a little train that you can hop on at reception which takes you to the nearby town which we did on a few occassions. Totally free. You can also get the same train back so saved a few quid on taxis. In summary superb accomodation, super friendly staff and fabulous facilites. Cant wait to stay again.
