The Moon has the best staff. They are incredibly hard working and kind. They go above and beyond. They would literally drop what they were doing to help us when we needed something. They made great recommendations for things to do around town and organized excursions. The rooms were beautiful and had some of the best lighting I've seen. And the AC worked exceptionally well. The views from most rooms aren't that great (although someone we traveled with had incredible views from their 10th floor room). But you still have excellent location and the rest of the stay was as good as can be. You'll be pleased with this Cat Ba hotel!

This hotel is brand new and is beautifully and comfortably designed. It belongs to the same agency with which we booked the trip to Lan Ha and Ha Long Bays, which I recommend to whoever is looking for a small group tour. We stayed on the last floor which has a nice terrace with a sea view. The room was very big, clean, comfortable, and had all the needed. The breakfast is good and fresh, although they can easily run out of one of the three choices they have on the menu. So, get up early!

The hotel check-in was delayed a little because of the long waiting time for the ship. Then, a woman likes manager asked the children if they had eaten, and she provided free milk and pancakes. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and beautiful, and all the staff including Son were kind. There is a small rooftop on the 11th floor, and the city and sunset sea from here were very beautiful. It was the best hotel on this beautiful island, which is friendly, pretty, and accessible. My child said, "I will definitely come back to The Moon when I come back to Cat Ba." Be careful because the floor of the shower booth is slippery.

Would give this place 6 stars if I could! The views from our room on the 10th floor were spectacular. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Tasteful decor and fixtures. Rooms very spacious. Bed was the most comfortable we had in Vietnam. Staff prepared to go that extra mile to make your stay better. Breakfast menu personalised to your taste. Great coffee! Only disappointment was that we could not stay longer.

We were travelling with four children and two adults. We had a whole floor to ourselves. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable, the rooms were very generous in size. The breakfast menu had a good variety of Western and Vietnamese options. The location was central to Cat Ba with lots of food options and easy access to night markets. We were very very comfortable, clean rooms, lovely beds, towels to take to the beach, the most amazing showers and always very helpful staff to help us connect to tour through Ha Long and organise transport to Cat Ba caves and Viet Cong Cave Hospital. We highly recommend. We would stay again!

We stayed in the family room which is one of the nicest we’ve stayed in anywhere. Only 2 rooms per floor so the hotel was quiet all night, and the breakfast was rated very highly by the children. Accessible by foot to any of the main points in town (as are most hotels admittedly). The welcome drink and fruit platter were also nice touches, and we were given additional towels without having to ask. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A wonderful experience at this hotel - excellent location within walking distance to local shops and water front, wonderful staff and clean, modern rooms. The bed was the most comfy we slept in (we found most mattresses were firm across the cities we stayed). Breakfast was included - the menu was small but it was freshly made to order and very tasty. Would 100% return & recommend!

An excellent boutique hotel, which was opened only four months ago. Everything is brand new. The room is well designed and very comfortable. The staff is very professional, courteous, and helpful. The room and service deserve a five stars

Very nice hotel. Modern and clean. All were very pleasant and helpful. Location also great for walking the town. You can order whatever you want off their breakfast menu. Change and add…. Coffee also very good. Thank god! Not always a given. We reserved the day trip with canoeing thru the office in the hotel. Made it very convenient. I think better staying here and do day trips. Then you’re not “stuck” on a boat and can enjoy variety of restaurants in the area. Upon recommendation from the hotel we ate at Conita Bonita near Yummy. And Quan family down the Main Street. Great squid in garlic. Manta Shrimp and fried fish to die for. Thanks everyone
