Sweetgrass Inn Bed & Breakfast

What a lovely place. New owners Adam and Andrea couldn't have made this a better experience. There was an issue with our booking that ended up getting a different room than we had booked, but Adam addressed the issue promptly and offered a partial refund (since the room we ended up in was slightly cheaper than booked) which was not expected but certainly appreciated. The room we ended up in, the Grass Suite, was huge and very well-appointed. The breakfast at Shipwreck's was also delicious - you could order anything off the menu! I would absolutely go back again if in the area, which I hope to do soon!

Very nice and friendly owners and staff, made you feel very welcome. Good breakfast and tasty dinner. Spacious and clean room. Perfect location for exploring the badlands and black hills atractions. 15 min drive to historic Rapid city. Highly recomended.

Great location to many attractions, but also very peaceful. The room was very clean, well furnished, and the beds were great! Towels and sheets were of great quality. I highly recommend this place! They also have the Shipwreck restaurant next door with great food and drinks!

We had a pleasant stay at the Sweetgrass Bed and Breakfast. It's very conveniently located just South of Rapid City, close to restaurants and attractions. The staff were very friendly. The room (The Loft) was clean, spacious, well furnished, with a large private bathroom and a nice view. Breakfast is very good, in the restaurant attached to the property; I had steak tips and eggs one morning, breakfast burritos the next. We highly recommend this great place to stay.

Our family of 4 stayed at Sweetgrass. The location is great, close to all our favorite attractions, and the place is quiet and comfortable. It’s across the highway from Reptile Gardens, which is neat, even when you don’t love reptiles. It’s near Bear Country, which is fun. There’s a new Buffalo shooting rollercoaster that’s super fun, The food is amazing with a restaurant on site that is excellent. They do gluten free well.

We checked in at the Shipwreck restaurant and bar which is located adjacent to the B&B. Erich (owner & innkeeper) showed us to our room for the next 4 nights. Our room was the Relax room on the upper floor of the home. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was a large living area with tv, table & chairs, dresser, small makeup table, bed and nightstand. The bathroom was large with a bathtub/shower. There also was a large closet area which worked out well for us to leave most of our belongings packed and just hang things that needed to be. Erich and Nancy own the Shipwreck and the B&B, lovely couple and very friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts were at the Shipwreck each morning. We could order what we wanted from the menu. There were several cooks some better than others, but all in all the breakfasts were very good. The Sweetgrass is in a great location, just outside of Rapid City to the southwest. We had easy access to all the sights we planned to see; all within an hour or less drive. We would highly recommend the Sweetgrass for quiet simple accommodations. If you need swimming pool, fitness center, or other amenities, then you may want to stay in the city.
