Hotel berhampiran Wat Nong Sala, Cha Am

This hotel is not exactly smack in the middle of Cha-am nor Hua Hin. However, it is a true retreat by itself. Like an oasis that pops in the middle of the rural landscape just north of Cha-am, the weekend here was a bustle of activities. Very popular with families with kids. There were so many kids here filling up the main and kids’ pool on Saturday. As the weekend ended, on the late afternoon of Sunday and a good half of Monday, the resort turned peaceful. Finally, there was more water then Children. The kiddy pool has a large air-filled dome sprouting water sky high. Both kids and adults were having fun climbing up and sliding down the feature. In the main pool, they have a permanent floating obstacle course called a Wibit. It was enjoyable watching people, including children, crash and fall into the water as they attempted to complete the course. So Sofitel Hua Hin is just filled to the brim with amenities. They have a kids’ club, a mini golf full of mythical figurines and a cycling track. One can ride their complementary bicycle, or have children rent their mini mopeds, scooters and other toy-ish vehicles. They have a games room (but it was hot), a mini tennis court and a bigger one that doubles as a basketball court. 4 pools in total on this land parcel perpendicular to the sea. The one near the beachfront has a jacuzzi, and there is yet another one in front of the gym. A beach restaurant fringes the not so friendly ocean. The sea was rough and murky. The water came up the break wall that prevents the garden from spilling into the sea. There is a mini sand beach with a few deck chairs, but it wasn’t much of a beach. Breakfast and dinner, we had them in their main restaurant called White Oven. It was really an oven, the air-conditioning needs some work. Otherwise it was pleasing to sit outdoors in the light morning breeze. The breakfast was extensive, a good wide mix of local and western dishes. Moo Ping (pork satays morning version) was superbly tasty and tender. The gravy for Kanom Jin (Thai rice noodle) was of a good rich density. There was also ice cream served in the buffet. However, the chicken rice was off, and their Pla Tong Kor (dough fritters) was a failure in texture and in taste. For the two mornings I had them, I do not know if it was just me, they had a strong hint of something medical. The room we had was So Family that has two bunk beds tucked into the side behind the master bed. The room was a whopping 60 square meters and was intensely decorated. If you live in a condominium, you will wish your studio is as trendy as this. The bathroom is massive. I love the floor to ceiling shower best. They have push buttons to turn on the water. There is one that produce moderate rain, another for heavy rain, and I was looking for the third that produce hurricane. It is not available. ⛱️ โจทย์ของการไปทะเลครั้งนี้คือ .. อยากไปทะเล แบบเดินออกจากที่พักแล้วถึงทะเลเลย ที่สำคัญในห้องต้องมีอ่างอาบน้ำด้วย เลือกที่พักอยู่นาน เอาแบบคุ้มค่าที่สุด เพราะมาพักแค่คืนเดียว พรุ่งนี้สายๆก็ต้องเช็คเอ้าท์แล้ว ครั้งนี้เลยไปชะอำ ใกล้ กทม. สุดๆ ส่วนที่พักตัดสินใจเลือกเป็นที่ Triple Tree Beach Resort ห้องแบบ Beach Front Pool Villa สะใจมากกกกกก เปิดประตูหลังห้องเดินออกมาก็เจอทะเลเลย ในที่พักมีสระว่ายน้ำให้เล่น ในห้องน้ำมีอ่างจากุชชี่ ห้องนอน แยกกับห้องนั่งเล่น พื้นที่ใช้สอยกว้างมากกกกก หลังเรา Check in ฝนก็กระหน่ำตกลงมา แต่พอฟ้าหลังฝน บอกเลยน้ำทะเลใสมาก กลิ่นดิน กลิ่นต้นไม้หลังฝนตก ชื่นใจสุดๆ เดินเล่นริมทะเลชิลๆ ยาวๆไปเลย ตอนเย็นเราสั่งอาหารจากโรงแรม ไม่มีรูปภาพในเมนูนะ ตัวหนังสือล้วนๆ ก็เลยต้องนึกภาพตามเอา แต่พอพี่ๆพนักงานเอาอาหารมาเสริฟคือร้องว๊าววววว ให้เยอะแบบจุใจ รสชาตดี ต้มยำน้ำข้นแซ่บปึ๊กกก ขาหมูเยอรมันกรอบนอกนุ่มใน ไก่ผัดเม็ดมะม่วงกรุบกรอบ ข้าวผัดทะเลเครื่องแน่น ราคามิตรภาพ หมดนี่ 980฿ เท่านั้น ในส่วนอาหารเช้า เป็นแบบ Alacart Buffet มีให้เลือกเพียบ เลือกได้ด้วยว่าจะให้มาเสริ์ฟที่ห้อง หรือ ไปทานที่ห้องอาหาร เราเลือกมาเสริ์ฟที่ห้อง เพราะต้องเตรียมเก็บของกลับ พี่ๆพนักงานก็น่ารักเหมือนเดิม อัธยาศัยดี ยิ้มแย้ม จริงๆประทับใจตั้งแต่คุณลุง รปภ. หน้าประตูทางเข้าแล้ว ♥️ สุดท้ายนี้เพื่อนๆคนไหนที่มองหาที่พักแบบ Private ส่วนตัวนิดๆ Facility ครบครัน ขอแนะนำที่นี่ Triple Tree Beach Resort รับรองไม่ผิดหวังแน่นอนค่ะ 😍🌷

Good place for family. Great location and very peaceful. The room was clean. Comfy bed. There were variety breakfast both thai and western. But I would suggest that it would be better if there would be more choices of vegetarian food.

Tara Mantra,ein Hotel was dem Untergang geweiht ist und sich dabei noch gut präsentieren will. Das die Zeiten nach Corona schwer sind,steht außer Frage,aber dann sollte man sich doch über jeden solventen Kunden freuen und symbolisch den roten Teppich ausrollen.Aber nicht in diesem Hotel.Man hat als nicht Thai sprechender Gast auf ganzer Linie verloren,man bekommt immer das Gefühl lästig zu sein und Fragen können aufgrund von Sprachbarrieren auch nicht beantwortet werden.Da wir seit Jahren immer wieder im Tara Mantra zu Gast waren,konnte ich den Zerfall dieses Hotels noch näher miterleben. Die Zimmer sind schmuddelig,nicht wirklich gepflegt,das Bad möchte ich auch nicht näher beschreiben. Das Frühstück wurde von Jahr zu Jahr spärlicher bis es sich heute zu einer Katastrophe entwickelt.Der Frühstücksraum hat jetzt für ein paar Tage geschlossen da nur 3Zimmer in diesem Hotel belegt sind.Daher wurden wir angewiesen die nächsten Tage Frühstück auf das Zimmer zu bestellen.Ist ja grundsätzlich kein Problem, wenn ich in diesem Zimmer die Möglichkeit habe gemütlich zu frühstücken,und nicht wie ein Affe am Couchtisch mein Frühstück zu mir nehmen muss.Mag sein,das ich in der Hinsicht überteagiere,aber dassind keine 4 Sterne wert. Schade,aber dieses Hotel hat 2Stammgäste verloren,aber ich denke das merkt das Personal gar nicht.

Hotel was very nice and cosy, especially the pool side is great. We had our room at pool side which has nice view and sunshine also to own balcony. Cleaniness in the rooms is very good, cleaning in daily basis. Though, pidgeons everywhere does their duty on the balcony and elsewhere which is a bit unconfortable. Restaurant(s) and bar(s) are good, of course just a bit more pricy than on the street, but comfortable. Breakfast is very rich, though some products were our frequently, like juices. Location just a few meters from beach is great and all possible shops and great selection of restaurants all over. We liked a lot of this hotel and really can come back again!

While it might not be the newest or most attractive hotel in this part of north Cha-Am beach, it offers pretty good value for money. In many ways it sums up the whole area, which has become a little worn and jaded but is clinging on to some hope that things might improve. The good The swimming pool is a decent size and seemed to be fairly popular from morning till evening. There are tables and loungers around the pool so it's a good place to relax and take a dip. The sea isn't too inviting, especially with the jet-skis, banana boats, and never ending rows of umbrellas and tables to eat on which simply make the beach a plastic paradise, so it's definitely your best option if you want to cool off and avoid stepping on plastic bottles. The room we had, a deluxe sea view on the 18th floor, was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the sea. There was a chaise longue which acted as a bed for one of the children we had, and the hotel was happy to provide extra towels and pillows. We booked for 4 but as usual they only provide for 2, but asking for extra stuff is fine. I can't comment on the other rooms as we didn't see or visit any. The decor is a bit faded but we thought it was fine for what you pay. Breakfast was fairly decent, really. Good selection of Thai dishes, mini croissants, banana cakes, and an egg station, which is always welcome. A decent coffee machine would be a huge bonus as there didn't seem to be anywhere you could get a decent one without walking out of the hotel and down the street. The not so good This is a BIG hotel. If you suffer from vertigo, then the lifts could be a problem as they have a glass back facing into the open atrium, which actually stretches from the ground floor all the way up to the roof, 21 floors above. If anyone suffers from a fear of heights then ask to use the service lift, which is a properly enclosed one. I don't think the staff would mind at all. And because it's so big, so much of the space seemed to be empty of any activity. The reception area is quite pleasant but there seemed to be three restaurants, which, except for breakfast which moved from one place to another in the few days we were there, never had anyone in them. I didn't really worry if they were open or not as we wanted to eat meals outside anyway, but it did seem to add to the rather forlorn aspect of the rest of Cha-Am. Overall, we thought it was fine for what we paid and it's in a great location, close to the beach and a range of eating places up and down the main street.

Excellent hotel for the beach. The breakfast is very good just ask the staff for eggs cooked the way you like. The room was very spacious and excellently clean. and we booked a pool room and you just opened the room door on to the terrace and stepped in to the pool. Very impressed The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. They could not do enough for us. We will definitely come back to this hotel The management should be very proud of their staff they were wonderful The manager was unbelievably kind as well and a lovely person

I never thought that with the cheap price of this hotel, it will give us an unforgettable experience that me and my family enjoyed. From the service, view, and the cozy vibe of the units considering its price would really amaze you. Will definitely comeback again.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations be it the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and the ambience. Located in the quieter side of Cha-am, the hotel is very clean and has ample parking space for its guests. The room is big with a balcony and the water pressure is good. The room has been kept clean throughout with its staff very attentive during cleaning. The breakfast though not buffet but a set menu, is ample is nice. The waiting staff is attentive having noticed that the coffee is not hot enough and the creamer was not dissolving well, he quickly helped to replaced both cups of coffee with apologies. Outside the hotel, there some roadside stalls as well as some shops where you can get good food as well. A 7-11 convenience store is nearby too. Do note that every Wednesday the roadside stalls will be closed. We’re so happy with our stay that we booked another stay during the coming Chinese New Year holidays.

The Chinese Restaurant Fu Lue Woman Manager- Som for no apparent reason has been very unprofessionally rude, repugnant and impertinent to me! Not once but every visit of mine is met with such obnoxious attitude. She would tell me that they are very busy and the food would take more than an hour and a half to serve even though the restaurant is not even half full! Whatever I order from the menu she would tell me it’s finished including desserts but then I see others ordering it and it’s being served to them. Also, I have not finished my order she would pretend to assume I have finished ordering and walked away! She would pursed her lips, give me a contemptuous glare and make a “tsk” sound with her tongue when I continued ordering! No one can fathom what kind of service staff would be so vicious and vile in service like Som! She’s a total disgrace to both the hospitality and service industry! Definitely NOT an asset but a TOTAL LIABILITY to the organisation that chose to hire her. One rotten egg spoils the entire basket! I don’t recommend this Chinese Restaurant.
