Every hotel staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. We received welcome snacks snd message in the room. The room was modern with air condition, high ceiling and nice amenities. Breakfast was buffet-style as and adequate. Location is very close to many shops and restaurants but without the noise. I enjoyed the deep tissue massage at their spa. Enhancement areas suggested for Room 11: shower door does not close; the queen bed was two separate single beds put together instead of one mattress, and with separate bedcover sheets instead of one queen sized bedcover sheet; a kettle would have been useful.

Arrive as guests and leave as friends at Minoa Palace. This was our 6th stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay once again. 99% of the staff are extremely friendly and wear a smile all the time. The staff work hard to ensure all guests receive the best possible service. It pleases us to see staff we've befriended have received promotions too! Fabulous to see. Ideally situated on the edge of town with a choice of outdoor pools, indoor pool and spa and picturesque beach there is something for everyone. The breakfast choices are amazing. All food is of the highest quality too. We have only booked bed and breakfast on recent stays because of the great restaurants in town, however, we do recommend half board or all inclusive too based on our experience in previous years. Housekeeping provide a terrific service and all areas of the hotel are spotless. We view Minoa Palace as our ”home from home” hotel. Hope to be back sometime soon.

1. Very new 4 room suites suite hotel.(since December 2022) 2. Interiors and finishing very high quality and very clean. 3. Next to harbor and walking distance to all interesting site and old town . 4. Breakfast is served at the sailing club , 100 meters away from location. You are allowed to choose from 4 sets of fixed options which for us was a bit boring to eat for 5 days, as the English breakfast was the only one that we preferred . Choice of coffee was limited to 1 cup of American coffee. It would have been better to offer just a bed option and leave us to choose where to breakfast from so many choices around the area. 5. We were told that Our suite, number 201, was on 2nd floor with no elevator so we thought that was acceptable but turned out that you need to climb over 48 steps carrying your own 30 kg case to your room 🤔😔.(BETTER TO CLEAR THIS WHEN DESCRIBING ROOMS) 6. They offer you a complimentary bottle of white wine and bottled water on arrival . after that you need to buy your own water. 7. When booking our room they say all rooms are Facing sea front but turned out the our room had a side view of the harbor. 8. For such a beautiful suite and offered free amenities it would have been good to provide tissue papers aswell . 9. The receptionist is not available all the time but you can reach by phone if you need them. 10 Car park available for hotel

The room was spacious and the hotel was super clean and extremely comfortable. Everything felt brand new and the service was really 5 star. We were happily surprised to learn that the indoor swimming pool is actually just a giant jacuzzi. We spent an hour there on our last night which was super nice. The bed is really comfortable and the place is quiet. There is a valet service for parking your car and we got welcome drinks and snacks on arrival. Thanks again for the free bottle of wine and fruit bowl as a VIP welcome gift. We really enjoyed and will come back to this hotel if we ever visit Chania again one day.

This is a tiny boutique hotel with actually relatively large rooms . There is NO parking as you can’t drive into the city centre, so you will have to call ahead and they will send someone to drag your luggage all the way to the hotel . The place has a history as it was a house of an aristocratic Turks during the ottoman ruling . The rooms are modern and extremely comfortable , wide , the service is great . It is very close to everything you need , the city centre, the boats , the market etc… I will definitely recommend this hotel and I will stay here next time we come back to Crete .

Me and my girlfriend stayed for a week and it is difficult to fault this place. Its mainly a German hotel but don't let that put you off. The German guests are generally very quiet and decent people. The staff speak perfect English, so you'll have no issues. Everything is excellent. Sure, its more expensive than most hotels but you get the premium stuff you're looking for. Its a brand new hotel, so everything is modern and works well. Its clean and the staff are all great. We went all inclusive which is well worth it. The food was top notch, with all restaurants serving some excellent food. My gf is a chef and very hard to please. She was impressed with the food, so that says it all! The a la carte restaurants are exceptionally good. Drinks wise, you wont struggle for choice. Cocktails are amazing, and make friends with Nico the barman, and he will dream up something off the books for you. Beers wise, they have an extensive selection and its all premium stuff. The wine, just get the expensive red stuff and you'll be fine! The room had a pool, which was great for the evenings to cool down after the beach. It was modern and cosy, super king size bed and it was very comfy. The touch pad can be a challenge though, so leave the bathroom light on at night or you'll be fumbling around for the right part of the touch pad. The beach is right over the road and no matter which room you stay in, you're never more than 5 minutes walk from it. Our room was right at the back and it was easily accessed on foot. The beach is clean and there are always plenty of beds even later in the morning. On the day of my birthday i had a bottle of prosecco left in my room, a nice touch. On arrival there was a bottle of wine and some snacks, well needed after travelling all day. I enjoyed this place very much and I'd love to go back one day. Probably the best hotel I have stayed in. Exceptional.

Firstly this is a nice hotel that is clean and everything you would expect. The staff are friendly and if you're a sports fanatic (we are not) then you can gym, run and yoga away to your heart's content. The hotel location is right by the sea (although far too rough when we went to go in it) and the pool is spacious and pleasant enough to swim in. I have to say that the food was superb. Plenty of choice and some really delicious dishes for all tastes. Both breakfast and dinner options were spot on. But sadly this is where the positives end. We went half board for a change as we thought the all inclusive package was a little pricey when booking. When we arrived late at the hotel we asked whether there was any water in the room only to be told there was none but ample drinks in a well stocked mini bar. So we bit the bullet and consumed 4 small bottles of soft drinks to the tune of 16 euro. We booked a junior deluxe suite. Nothing deluxe about it but there was a desk in there with a chair so I suppose that constitutes a suite. All in one room. One of our boys had a sofa made up but the other had to make do with a creaking camp bed which was disappointing. Not something befitting a 'luxury 5 star spa resort' The room was ok but a little tired - one plus is that it opened up to the pool on the ground floor. Now onto the drinks... A plastic half cup of cretan lager will set you back 6 euro and a mailbu and coke an incredible 11 euro. My children had a mocktail each one evening which consisted of half a lemonade and a dash of blue curucao - an absolutely shocking 17 euro for both!! The mini bar was astonishing where a miniature whisky or vodka will set you back 10 euro and a small sparkling wine 12 euro. Such importance is placed on the contents of that mini bar that there is a person assigned each morning to visit each room to check it - nothing is left to chance! Normally a task for housekeeping, I've never come across this. We removed the temptation by going to the supermarket to get some supplies. But there was a polite note saying that the mini bar contents was not to be touched. And this is where this hotel lets itself down. It's permanently looking to screw a little more out of its guests - even themed nights like BBQ's and Italian were charged as extra - even to all inclusive guests. We enquired about upgrading (just to escape the eye watering drink costs) only to be told it would be an additional £1200 for 2 adults, 2 children! And if you're all inclusive don't think about helping yourself to the ice creams in the fridge by the pool bar - they're for'ultra' inclusive guests - so guess what? - there's a cost for that as well. The weather was mostly cloudy with some sun in the afternoon but bear this is mind when booking later in the year as the hotel was closing at the end of the week we were there. Most guests here are a combination of gym rats and super fit bods who spend all day in the gyms or running around the hotel or elderly coupl
