Ulasan Sonderia Hostel&Bar-lazybones

I had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn't feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists. Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

Close to old town. Watch the face changing. Went to dujiangyan and sanxi dui from here. Better to grab a bus than taxi. Taxi is expensive. New Air conditioning.

Sonderia Hostel was the best stay of our China trip! The location is perfect—right near the old town, so you’re just steps away from all the charm. We also loved the stylish bar and the warm welcome upon arrival. A highlight was the weekly events: the HotPot and Dumpling parties, both hosted by Penny. She created such a fun and social atmosphere, making it easy to connect with other travelers. A huge thank you to Penny and Nicole! They were incredibly helpful, always around, and super friendly. Their excellent English made communication effortless. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing hostel, mainly due to the awesome staff and the activities organized here Staff is super friendly, soeak english very well and will always helo you with anything - no matter the importance of the matter. Rooms were fine, cleanliness could have been better though (more thorough cleaning of floors and sanitary). Still would recommend!

Great location. The host speaks English. Has a good bar and activities for guests. Washing machine available.

Perfect stay at the perfect place. The staff is so kind and hospitable. They will help you organise your day and tell you what is worth visiting and how to do it. They speak perfect English, they give you a lot of suggestions on what to do, especially Penny, who helped us so many times and answered all the questions, and you can ask anything you need and they will take care of it. We had the best stay at Sonderia

We like the ambience 👍 friendly receptionists who are ever ready to help & gave good recommendations 👍👍👍 warm. Cozy beds too! Picture of the opposite noodle stall.

Clean private rooms, helpful staff- especially Penny! It’s about a 15 min walk from closest subway stations. They offer many services and give you good deals on coffee!

Good location. Clean room. Friendly staff! It was quite easy to find and fast to check in.

A nice place to stay a little bit out of the main part of the city. Nicole and Penny were great at the desk. Good cocktails at the bar

The hostel and rooms are clean and well maintained, the AC is working well and there is complimentary water to refill your bottle. The biggest asset of the hotel is the English speaking staff, who is incredibly helpful, creates a warm and friendly atmosphere. Biggest shout out to Loura, who with her friendliness and smile made our stay there great!

Planned to stay for 2 nights, eventually spend there week and a day while waited for my visa to Vietnam. It felt like home. Penny, Tango, Damon, Nicole and the house cleaners were amazing. Anyone who is looking for a warm and comfort stay in Chengdu, should definitely go and stay at Sonderia.

It was so nice to have dumpling making activity. It ia good way to understand chinese culture and met new friend.

I’d say the hostel has a youth vibe and rooms with windows are spacious. Cleanliness could be improved big time as well the messiness in the hallways - apparently the hostel is being renovated so many debris can be spotted accumulated down the hall. Location close enough to the Temple and Monastery complex and to an amazing restaurant street with delicious Chengdu food. Make sure you buy water before coming in and select rooms with windows otherwise you may be assigned one that’s has none.
