Ulasan The Empress Chiangmai

It is too old to enjoy. Aircon generates large noise that affects our sleeping, turn off aircon finally. The towel are old and shabby. Toilet is very old.  Mattress is good and big.

We stayed 5 nights at the Empress Hotel, and location is ok, as there are tuc tucs at the end of the street that can take you anywhere. The feel, decor, facilities, smell are all old-style, but it was fine for us, as we spent most of the say out of the hotel and the price was decent for what you get. Breakfast was reasonable, including fresh fruit and salads, good bacon, not good coffee. Check-in and check-out was quick and smooth, and they put us in connecting rooms with two single and one king bed per our request, which was good customer attention. Rooms were quiet, decent size except the bathrooms. The fitness room, well, at least they have one but please, if you have one, keep it maintained ! Only two of around 10 cardio machines were in working order - just fix them - and give the equipment a clean and over haul, add a few mats, towels, waters ... My recommendation is to make a few investments to improve things like a proper coffee machine, fitness room refurbish, room decor, and ensure an english-speaking manager walking around to be "visible", greeting the guests, ask how things are, and helping to guide his/her staff to become fully autonomous in improvements. The housekeeping team were very good and worked hard and all day. I would recommend the Empress, but they need to start to catch up to other hotels and what international visitors are expecting.

A decent hotel located in the heart of Chang Klan, Chiang Mai. Walking distance to the Night Bazaar Area with plentiful choices of night markets, and comfortable travelling distance to other districts such as Nimman and the Old City. Very friendly staff and a pity there are no toothbrushes and toothpastes provided.

We enjoyed a sauna more than a swimming pool. The location was good for us, but it depends on guest's destinations. There was a nice, cheap, and delicious Chinese restaurant around the corner from the hotel.  

Very nice hotel. Welcome snacks box is given to all the hotel guests. Fruits plate is provided.Live music band is in the bar which is very entertaining and took us back to our younger days.Breakfast is also very good. It's typically 4 stars hotel. If you want to have quiet atmosphere and stay in the central night bazar, I would recommend to choose,The Empress Hotel Chaing Mai.

My room was a connecting room. I was very lucky to stay there for 3 days. The room next door was not noisy. The breakfast has a lot of variety，Fruits are also diverse, including mangoes。 I wanted to appreciate the Concierge and the bell man, They serve guests very responsibly。

We're delighted to come back to Empress Hotel. As usual, the complimentary gift bag of snacks, juice and evian mineral water was always a bonus when checking in. The rooms were well maintained, clean and cosy. The staff were attentive, helpful and hardworking. It's like coming back home. The front desk manager, Miss Ayo, was very considerate to us, especially to my disabled mom. The moment I checked out, I've started to plan my next stay @Empress this November. Highly recommended!

Good service, nice crew, everything was good and worth the price

Nice place. Got upgraded and was able to keep it through an extension of stay. Gave me a nice goodie bag upon arrival, although most stuff I could eat...(not Kosher). And on the day of my extension for two more days, the housekeeping staff gave me a nice plate of fruits...nice touch indeed. All in all a nice place. Clean, friendly staff and not a bad location especially for where I needed to be. Only issue I had, was the beds were on wheels and I couldn't get it to stop moving at times. Lol.

Breakfast is very limited There is bad smell in asiles Room is full of what you need to stay and I like it Workers in the hotel are helpful.

The hotel is right next to the convention center which is convenient for the conference event. The swimming pool is temporarily closed due to water condition. But we could use the swimming pool in another building. This building is quite old but well maintained. There was a welcome boxset for all new guests which is a very nice touch. The room is spacious. I went there with my wife and my son. We requested for an extra bed for my 10-year old son, which is 800 THB/night. The staff is helpful. In the first night, there was one lamp that couldn't be turned off. I called the maintenance guy and he came within a few minutes to fix the problem. There are plenty of parking lots. At night, the parking lots in the back of the hotel are very dark, I recommended the hotel installing lighting at the parking lots for better security.

So good in the room arrangement, good greeting gift and proper meeting room organized.

service was good, room was clean. however its an old hotel and breakfast tasted the same throughout.
