Hotel Mesra Haiwan Peliharaan di Christchurch

We needed to be close to the rental companies and this place kind of was. Very basic but clean. Very small room and bunk beds. Did the job for us.

Stayed at Fino in a 2 bedroom corporate apartment with a colleague for three nights to attend a conference. I will start by saying the location was excellent as our conference was across the road. PROS: The reception staff were outstanding and extremely polite. The apartment was a good size and worked well having two bathrooms. The kitchen had everything you needed for a short stay. CONS: Bathrooms - grouting between the tiles was filthy, no where to hang your towel except over the toilet - yuk, the toiletries on the web page were not what you got - cheap dispensers on the wall of the bathroom that were empty so no way to wash ourselves on the first morning as there was no body wash nor soap. Had to ask twice and chase the cleaners to get them filled with poor quality product. No where to put your toothbrush or toiletries except to close the toilet seat and use that - yuk. The shower in the ensuite was in a very high sided bath and the shower head was so low that I had to get on my knees to wash my hair (I am only 5 foot 4). The main bathroom shower over the bath was broken and while my colleague was trying to shower very hot water was coming out the bath tap burning her feet - we brought this to the attention of the reception staff who said it would be fixed while we were out - but it wasn't. Bedrooms: no power points (in the entire apartment) that are close to a mirror to use hair dryer. Bedding was clean. General: apartment very sad and needs a good revamp. Lots of marks on the walls, missing paint, worn carpet, uncomfortable couch, damaged benchtop in the kitchen, very few coffee sachets left (enough for one weak coffee each). Had to ask to get more. We paid over $300 a night for this run down apartment with few amenities. Apart from the nice reception staff and the location I could not recommend. The pictures on the website do not represent what you are getting.

This unit was comfortable, quiet, clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable. The little kitchenette in the unit met our needs of being self-sufficient. Off street parking. Lots of shops, attractions and restaurants within walking distance. The host was so friendly and helpful. He made recommendations of which walking route to take to encompass all the local attractions we wanted to see.

We had to travel to Christchurch for our dog, Toby, to see a specialist vet and this motel was perfect! It is dog friendly and just down the road from the vet we needed to see (McMaster and Heap). Great location, the staff are kind and cared about how our dog was. The room was very clean, linen is superb, all amenities included. There is a little park across the road where we could take our dog for a play and McDonald's and other eateries are just down the road. The motel also offers a continental breakfast for a good price, perfect for our needs. Our room had a lovely balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Also, I accidentally forgot my iPad and the staff called me to let me know before I even missed it! They offered to keep it safe until we return to Christchurch next week, really appreciate that! Fantastic, dog-friendly place to stay, highly recommend :)

Wasn’t too sure about this place given the recent reviews. It’s great for an overnighter before the Tranz-alpine train. OK, the room was tired, but it was quiet and clean, the shuttle was bang on time, the air-con was good, and there was a good pub a short walk away for beer and dinner. Don’t book it for a 2 week honeymoon, but it’s just the ticket for the station and train journeys, and handy too for the botanic gardens

Service was excellent and was great place to stay

Friendly, Accommodating and Very Comfortable Junior suite (×2) $242 per day Check-in 1400, Check-out 1100 We had a perfect 5 day stay at Hotel Montreal Christchurch. Initially, there was an issue with performing our own laundry as per TripAdvisor. The hotel manager was very responsive and took full accountability for the TripAdvisor hotel amenity description. The hotel is very well appointed and located centrally within the Christchurch cbd. Very well-appointed bar, lovely restaurant, very comfortable and spacious suites, great staff and professional management. The king bed (two king singles) were very comfortable separately, but not so great when slept on side-on. The bathroom was spacious and very well laid out. The kitchen area, albiet small was functional and well appointed. The lounge area was huge and very comfortable. The single television had to be swung around to be viewed from the bed or lounge. Channels were limited to free to air with casting of our Australian tv channel apps not available due to geoblocking restrictions. Overall, we had an awesome stay with Hotel Montreal Christchurch, we would definitely stay here again when being back in Christchurch.

Stayed there with family (2 adults + 3 kids). The apartment was se ton two levels, which was absolutely perfect - kids at the top floor (just up the stairs with a curtains as a wall). Specious with decent size lounge to relax , and small kitchen. We only had breakfast there and it was great with everything you need for it. Walking distance from a city centre (yes, even with kids it was not far at all), and nearby Hagley Park was great for a morning run. There are laundry facilities, bit dated, but again - did the job. Unfortunately kids didn't get to use the pool as it was closed (had cover on), but again - it wasn't a big deal for us as got other stuff planned anyway. Would highly recommend it!
