It's my last stop before I fly back home for good after a 2 weeks holiday in NZ. It's a total disaster experience as the lady restaurant manager (working on 23 May 2023, 9pm), was plain rude when I approached her politely wanting to ask her whether the restaurant was still operating since it was late already. She was then holding a tray of empty cups, gave me a stare, and whispered an insincere 'sorry' with a frustrated facial and dashed right past me. Mind you, there was only 1 table of 2 guests in the entire restaurant. Not wanting to spoil our mood further, I have decided to walk away calmly, be the bigger self, and head to the bar instead. Honestly, it was totally not the busiest day since it's a Tuesday evening, the bartender was so impatient in trying to wait for us to make our orders (we are only ordering 2 drinks my dear), he wasn't helpful in trying to provide alternative (since one of the drinks we wanted is OOS) or wait for JUST another minute for us to look through the short food menu quickly to decide what food we wanted to add on to our order. He quickly decided to push us to the restaurant if we wanted food. Hello? If we were ordering drinks at the bar, why would we want to order bar food to eat at the restaurant? Perhaps we aren't looking too groomed to garner his prestigious service that's why he was pushing us away? My goodness... this is the worst ever experience I had in my entire stay here. Every other accommodation service staff we have met was friendly, polite, and treats us with loving respect. I honestly do not expect a reputable hotel to have such horrible service.

I stayed in the capsule and it was very clean and the hater in the room is warm enough. It's 10-15mins walk from the airport and I did that in the mid night. Feel abit lost but it s not too bad.
Since there were only 3 of us in the room and it s quiet.
Toilet and shower room are cleaned and warm enough.

Consistent ; convenient ; clean. Whilst the property frame looks old, all the amenities and facilities are updated . Good bathroom. Good size room. Twin rooms are two very comfortable double beds . Free parking. It’s not right next to the airport, just a few minutes drive. Best option in the Crustcjurch airport area !

During our 3month stay in NZ we have stayed in many motels, some cheaper and some more expensive and we have not been disappointed with any of them they have all been excellent. We paid $299 per night for 3 nights at the Gateway. We were extremely disappointed with our accommodation. It was way past its best, outdated and in need of much attention. It was reasonably clean. However our sheets were unironed and so creased that I did wonder if they had not actually been changed from the previous occupants. The towels were clean but smelt so strongly of cooking oil due to the fact that the laundry is next door to the restaurant. They were not pleasant to use. On arriving we could not park anywhere near our unit since the management appear to have some arrangement allowing air port users to park in the car park which meant there was very little space for the motel guests to park. It looked very much like a used car park area - cars everywhere. I generally like to give very positive reviews but find it very difficult to find anything to be positive about our stay at the Gateway. The staff in the reception and the gentleman who helped us with our luggage were friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff were also very helpful. I can confirm the reviews from Tony Atkinson, Gary P and Steve S about the motel and if had I read these reviews before booking I would not have chosen the Gateway. Avoid room 807. There must be other good rooms because there are also glowing reviews so I can only advise you to book carefully. So sorry I cannot be more positive.

設施：設施較齊全，美中不足是沒有鍋，但已經滿足旅行的需要了。
服務：服務很Nice，Host是一對夫婦，會提供一份飲品牛奶，每次打掃也都會記住；店內也提供免費的shutterbus，提前一天預約就可以了。
總結：住得舒心，給南島的旅行做的完美收官～

We stopped here for a night travelling between Picton and Mt Cook. The Motel was on a main road and close to SH1 but set back and quiet clean and pleasant. The manager / owners were friendly, helpful and pleasant, especially after we left our radio behind. They happily arrange postage back to us after we paid the cost Would we stay again. YES - highly recommended.

Disappointed, we stayed in the past and our experience was good, unfortunately we decided to stay here again and paid for a spa room, the hot water did not work and the reception had no idea when I would return. They promised us a refund because they changed us to a smaller room without a hot tub and the refund was not made. We feel cheated, I do not recommend it and I would never go back!

Love this hotel. It is unpretentious but provides quality service and comfort. Very comfortable beds, welcoming bar with friendly staff and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Both myself and my family have stayed here many times and not had a bad experience at all.

PPengguna TetamuDATE OF TRAVEL: July 2023 Stayed here for 10 days on a business trip. Room and bathroom was great but the beds are awful. They are not attached to a bed head and are an ensemble base only so they move around. I had a better sleep in a motel in Timaru, which is a shame because working 10 hour days, staying in a 5* hotel, one would think you'd sleep like a baby. Fortunately the shower's high pressure and the bath were great, Apart from that, the hotel grounds is beautiful with ample parking. My room had a veranda which I liked to sit on and watch the traffic go by. I had requested a microwave so as to meal prep due to my diabetes and this was in there prior to check in which was great. Hotel is just around the corner from a heap of restaurants and Westfield Ricccarton and right next to Hagley Park which was great for a morning walk. In room dining was fine, nothing special. I tried the breakfast buffet in the restaurant on the Saturday and it was lacklastre. Didn't end up going back. Plenty of cafes around anyway. All up, I rate my stay there 4*. The facilities were great, the requests were met eagerly and the bathroom was fantastic. The room itself is really well appointed but the bed is awful which detracts a star. I'd stay there again with my wife though, maybe bring some *****s to attach to the bed legs to stop them from moving around though!

TTrish BA big Thank you to Sue and David for an excellent comfortable 3 night stay at Rosewood Court. Very friendly hosts and everything was spotless and very comfortable. We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. Sue helped us use the onsite laundry facilities. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and loved the spa bath at the end of the day sightseeing. The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. Was lucky enough to be there the morning they first opened for breakfast in the L5 restaurant, which I can highly recommend - the home made lemon curd yoghurt and granola was delicious! Looking forward to staying again.

Clean, comfortable and has many of the little touches found in higher end establishments. We enjoyed a very pleasant overnight stay and were disappointed not to be able to extend it another night. However it’s not surprising this property is heavily booked. Some of the features we used and appreciated were the hand held shower, microwave and utensils. There is a cooktop for the serious DIY folk. The only criticism was having to lug our suitcases upstairs. Our room was second floor. Regardless - highly recommend.

Beds are very comfortable. Situated within walking distance of hospital and lots of places to eat around as well. A mall is not far away. Prices to stay were excellent.

Rooms and bathroom acceptable size for solo business trip. A tall person might not like the bed set up. The quality of the room service food could be improved soggy toasted sandwich and over cooked pizza pricey for what I got. All in all great 2 night stay. Suited my requirements

PPengguna TetamuManager very efficient @ helpful. Could walk to city thru park. The other way to shops @ Westfields. Rooms all facilities, no frills. Just as advertised, no surprises. Bit of noise in front rooms while very quiet at back. $40 taxi to airport roomy parking area

PPengguna TetamuFantastic spot, had a lovely time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone staying in the area. Beds were comfortable and showers were clean. You can walk around to restaurants closeby

PPengguna TetamuNot too impressed, got put in the wrong room when I specifically booked the room for the balcony. The guy at the front was new which I understand but no one did anything to help. Walls are thin as anything could hear everyone’s conversation and 5 different people snore. Will never be back.
