Hotel terbaik di Dickenson Bay

1. Resort is beautiful. HOWEVER, they are still building the over water bungalows which was pretty noisy. Also, they are NOT ocean conscience and plastic bags were constantly dropped in the ocean. 2. Not a snorkeling resort. If you want to snorkel, you need to do an excursion. 3. The resort is NOTHING like the trailer. The only thing ever happening at the pool was LOUD LOUD music. No themed parties or anything that is advertised on their website. (And we were disappointed by that). 4. Entertainment is weather dependent so the first two nights the entertainment was cancelled because of rain. It’s an open air theater. Given the amount of rain, they should really figure this out. The nights we had entertainment, we enjoyed. 5. Food was good! We are not “foodies” – everything was acceptable. 6. The people ARE NOT Jamaicans. They are very reserved but have a lot of fun with each other. However, a 30 second google search told me that they are VERY RESERVED. If you want a fun-loving, joking kind of experience, Antigua is not for you. Their manner did not bother us but I can see how others might be offended when they laugh and joke with each other and just serve you. 7. Cell phones for the staff is a problem. It is annoying to have to wait on them to finish face-timing. They are on their phones frequently. 8. Service on the beach is spotty. 9. This resort lacks “the personal touch.” At other resorts, our beach chairs have been made up, they know what we like to drink, they learn our names, etc. There was none of that at this resort. I think that is probably what we missed the most. A personal touch goes a long way. If they saw us making up our beach chairs- they would just let us. I don’t think we ever had anything “done” for us the entire time we were there. 10. The highlight was definitely being serenaded on our Anniversary at the over water restaurant. That was the only thing that we felt like was “above and beyond.” It was very nice. We did not get names, but they were FABULOUS. Ajarnie: was our ”personal photograher” :-) He was always available to take a pic when we asked

We had a wonderful stay with Jacquie and her team at the villas at sunset lane. The rooms and bathrooms were large,well equipped with comfy beds and efficient a/c and ceiling fan. Jacquie is an amazing host and an excellent cook. Continental breakfasts were lovely but we did treat ourselves to omelettes for breakfast a couple of times and they were amazing. We also ate dinner at the villas in two occasions and they were very tasty. We certainly didn't go hungry. The villas are very clean and the staff team are friendly and helpful. Pool is lovely and also kept extremely clean. Jacquie is a perfect host who helped with sorting out the puncture we got on our hire car plus made dinner reservations and excursion reservations. The area is quiet but is 10 mins walk from the beach and a short drive into St Johns. Best rum punch on the island!!! I would definitely stay there again.

Connie’s Comfort Suites was a great find at a great price... would definitely stay here again! A great base to explore the island. Connie’s has fantastically friendly people that make you feel at home and everything I needed including comfortable bed, kitchen area (fridge/freezer, oven/hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, well stocked with utensils, plates, cutlery, etc), dining table/chairs, sofa, TV and good WiFi (video calls). They also offer laundry service. Little shop next door for basics and big supermarket/pharmacy at Wood’s Mall in 10min walk. Food options Toy toys &KFC within 5min walk and st John’s center in 20min. I used QuikServe app (similar to Uber eats) to have food delivered to the room ! They also have rental cars which brings closest beach within 5min drive. Great find and feel that I’ve seen the local side of Antigua that you wouldn’t get at an all-inclusive beach front resort. Tip: some of the big resorts offer day passes if you want to lounge by a pool for a day while in Antigua.

Good day, I hope everyone reading this is in good health, let me start by saying when i got to the hotel and checked in, it was then disclosed to me the hotel is under renovations and the elevator is not working! After climbing three flight of stairs got to room which was clean and well made, there was two towels and one wash cloth for two people, fine. Went back down to front desk to ask questions and was met by Carlos that seemed more occupied with a security issue and talking on his phone on whattsap. I asked this gentleman if there was any water available for sale, his response was NAH IT HAVE ALL KIND OF PLACE OUTSIDE OPEN YOU CAN BUY WATER OUT THERE!! Fine. Told them tv is not working the next morning and can i have fresh towels with Two wash cloths, on my return from meetings at 1:30 pm that was not done. I walked back down the 3 flight of stairs and made requests again, also told the front desk personnel i was going to get a quick lunch and could this be completed before my wife gets back from her meeting, i was assured it would be done. 2 hours later on return to the room the ac was turned off and the tv was still not working, so i called the front desk to complain yet again, sat on porch to have lunch ( this is after turning ac back on ) for about half an hour before my wife went inside and told me be careful when you come inside the room is FLOODING!!! and to my surprise to room was flooding from the ac! I have video proof of my wife with the house keepers mop and bucket trying to save the day. I immediately went back down to the front desk to show the staff the video, and actually raised my voice when Carlos now asked, DO YOU NEED SOME ASSISTANCE ??????? I ASKED REALLY !!!!!!! I been screaming that from last night!!!! Then the angel of mercy came to my assistance, Latoya!!! This young lady went above and beyond to accommodate us, She even went out of her way to take us to our new hotel ( The Royalton ) which was an amazing experience. This hotel will lose a great asset if this young lady was to leave. All in all I would not recommend this GOVERNMENT MANAGED HOTEL to anyone until all major renovations in what could be an amazing hotel. Regards Lincoln Adams
