The amenities were excellent — in addition to the usual coffee, sugar, tea, mugs, and milk, there were also chilled bottles of water in the fridge, biscuits, and “breakfast packs” with everything you’d need for a filling breakfast. Housekeeping were generous with restocking items each day and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff were also amazing. The staff member who assisted us upon arrival was friendly, cheerful, and helpful. The housekeeping staff were thorough and flawless. After a busy day sightseeing, I’d always come back to a very clean, tidy room with everything replenished. I’d definitely visit again if the chance arose. However, avoid the connected bistro if you can — lacklustre service and unhelpful staff. But the hotel’s proximity to plenty of restaurants and cafes makes it easy to find dinner elsewhere.

The most amazing, helpful staff. Beautiful clean rooms in a quiet garden setting. Absolutely faultless. Doncaster and the surrounding suburbs have a lot to offer and this is a great home base. There is so much parking available and it is very secure. We will be doing many visits there.

Loved this hotel. Right next to Doncaster shopping center (quality shopping without the pretentiousness of chadstone). Car parking available onsite (extra cost). Reception staff were lovely and so helpful, couldn’t do enough for their guests. Rooms were well appointed, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping staff were great - warm and always spoke to everyone who walked past them. We did not have breakfast, but regretted that decision as we left the hotel for our pre-booked breakfast elsewhere. Restaurant looked fantastic (both for breakfast and dinner). Pool was a great size, and provided endless entertainment for our children. No view offered like chadstone hotel, but a much more family friendly pool. No spa unfortunately. Gym was great and right next door to the pool. Will definitely stay there again!

Stayed here a few times before. A warm welcome provided. Great location when you need to be in the eastern area of Melbourne. Wonderfully close to the bus stop into the city - literally a minute’s walk away. If you don’t have a car, local shops are a 10-15 walk down the road. Rooms are dated, which doesn’t worry us providing it’s clean. Our room could’ve done with some close attention to mould in the shower and around the bathroom taps (I cleaned with a tissue but a wee brush and Jif would make a difference). Fridge also needed a defrost but otherwise the rest of the lovely spacious room was great. TV stations are limited because they’re not smart TVs. However we know how much it’d cost to provide these in every room and after Covid, there won’t be too many accommodation places with spare cash just yet. Bed really comfortable (we like firm and it was perfect), room was warm in the autumnal chill, nice biscuits to munch, soft towels. Very happy, we’ll be back (again)!

This is a well maintained , modern and clean place to stay , with great staff, who were friendly and helpful . Our suite was well equipped , quiet , clean and comfortable . A nice kitchen , 2 TV’s and 2 bathrooms . Comfortable lounge area , a roomy balcony with great views . (Was cold so we did not spend much time out there !) The pool and spa look great - did not use them , was cold and we were busy . Car parking is secure and it was easy to get to our room via the lift . Well placed , close to Box Hill facilities . We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was . We will be back !

This property definitely has some positives. The price is cheap for an apartment and it's very close to Box Hill Central and pretty close to Box Hill Hospital. The staff were able to get us in to our room early which was also very handy. The negatives, the amenities feel cheap, the double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses pushed together, and the mattresses were very thin. The couch was the same it just felt cheap and poor quality. The other negative with this property was the odor in the corridor which smelt like a mixture of cigarettes and stale cooking smells, although within the apartment we were in there was no odor so that was a positive. If you need somewhere for a short stay in and around Box Hill this property is quite ok, but be realistic about what you are expecting at the price point
