The beautiful house is fully furnished with everything you need in the kitchen. They also provide bicycle to ride to enjoy the awesome views. There are also horses, donkeys to visit your home too. At night you are able to see babies kangaroos. So awesome view. We had a wonderful time

We stayed in the Roland Cottage which far exceeded our expectations for only $180 a night in peak season. It’s a little further away from Cradle than most of the main hotels, but in a way we liked this better as it was quiet and peaceful - there aren’t many cottages and they are set right against beautiful bushland, making you feel like you’re in the forest. The cottage has a well-appointed kitchen with all the cookware you could possibly need, plus a microwave, kettle, fridge, stove and dishwasher. Coffee, tea and sugar were also provided. Best part of all though was a huge spa bath with bubble bath provided, lovely after a long day of hiking! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely log cabin style rooms very spacious and about 20 min drive from Cradle Mountain national park. Very quiet, self check in. Small kitchen with microwave kettle and toaster. No wifi or phone reception and take some food with you

If you are looking for a remote wilderness retreat, then you found it! However, if you are only visiting for a couple of days, like us, then it’s a 45-minute drive to the Cable Mountain Visitor Centre which is where you have to leave your car, get your park passes and take the bus to Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park. (sounds a hassle, but it's very well organised) If you don’t want to do that, you could spend a day doing the fantastic walks from the resort. Rooms - spacious with a mini fridge and massage chair, which we loved. Quite dark and a bit tired and not very clean. TV was basic and Internet was slow. Again, the bathrooms are huge with spa bath overlooking the rainforest and separate shower. Lovely balcony but the dirty ashtray left on the table spoilt it. The food was very good, service very slow. One of our party doesn’t drink and they had no zero beers, only non-alcoholic white sparkling which was served warm, sigh…. There was a general apathy among the staff apart from Tracy and Akeisha, who were both brilliant and seem to run the place. Lemonthyme has such a lot of character; there is an intimacy about it but it just lacks atmosphere; maybe because it was only half full. Our 2-night stay was not great value for money @ $500 a night for dinner, bed and breakfast; this is top dollar and the lodge does not deliver that high-end level of accommodation and service that the price suggests. It was an 'ok' stay but not a 'great' stay.

Welcoming host, great clean and comfortable room. We had plenty of room for a family of 5 to stretch out. The second tv in the kids room was a treat and made for happy kids and happy parents. Kids loved feeding the alpacas it was great being able to park the car right outside our door. Would defiantly recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

Had a 2 night stay here for a mix of business and leisure and stayed in a one bed apartment. Very nice motel, not too big and offering a nice selection of standard motel rooms, apartment style and a family room option. Accommodation mainly on the ground floor, but we were given an option of a 1st floor room, which was great as it gave us a superb view of nearby Mount Roland. If you are having a long stay I would recommend the one bed apartment as it was very spacious with a large kitchen area including a proper fridge/freezer rather than a mini bar fridge. Microwave only for cooking which is fine by me!. The motel is well presented, has a nice garden area with a BBQ/outdoor seating area and although on the main street rooms and off street parking are set back from the main street. Sheffield is famous for its murals, and the Sheffield Motor Inn delivers on these too as there are quite a few on the motels walls. All the shops, cafes and in town attractions you would want to visit are just a short walk away. Mount Roland for a few hours walking is a short drive away and the north west coast/Devonport area is approx 30 mins drive away too. Staff were terrific, friendly and helpful from the moment we booked, I would highly recommend staying here. (Note: no onsite dining here, but the excellent Bossimi's café is next door for breakfasts and meals during the day and across the road is the Sheffield Hotel which offers lunch, dinner and a takeaway service)

Irene and Russell are amazing hosts who ensured our 3-night stay at Glencoe B & B was unforgettable. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. In our daughters' room, Russ split the bed into two singles. Each room is heated and has an ensuite stocked with quality towels and toiletries, and the living and dining areas have wood fires which was very appreciated as the temperatures dropped. We enjoyed sitting by the fire (with Howard the cat ^-^) playing games and reading books each evening enjoying a very impressive cheese platter created by Russ. Breakfast was amazing - fresh croissants, fresh fruits and cooked breakfast...made to order and of the highest quality. As we were visiting NW Tasmania for the first time, Russell gave us detailed itineraries and suggestions for each of our day trips including where to dine. This was invaluable and made our days out so much easier. Irene took us on a tour of the farm, and we had the pleasure of handfeeding the highland cows and meeting the newborn lambs! The gardens are beautiful - our girls enjoyed walking around meeting the free-range hens and ducks each afternoon. Irene and Russ are both very warm and hard-working people who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed their company very much and would definitely stay again.
