We just had a 7 night stay at Golden Riverina. The location is great being close to the beach and shops/ cafes. For the price, the resort is very tired. There is a lot of grout missing in exterior tiles and a lot are chipped being unsafe especially around the pool area. The key swiping gets frustrating. Don’t leave your room without your key or you can get locked out. It would be nice to be able to freely move around the resort once you’ve checked in. For a 7 night stay please provide more dish washing liquid etc. I know you can get it from IGA, but surely for the price of the stay, enough dishwashing liquid could be provided. Be prepared for stairs. We were on the 6th floor from the carpark with no lift for luggage. No aircon in the main bedroom. There was a lady manning the pool gate and bubbles of the spa. She was very friendly but off putting to our children. She picked up on their names and was telling them what to do. Made them confused and uncomfortable. I probably wouldn’t stay again unless we got a ground floor room at an off peak time.

Just stayed in a family room for 8 nights with my two teenage kids. Big success, really liked the hostel,great location and would definitely recommend. Hostel life can be a bit noisy at times,but that happens when you have groups of young people catching up and sharing stories, definitely wasn't over the top during our stay. The Hostel was clean,kitchen good and we enjoyed our stay.

Room was spacious, included hand wash shower gel shampoo & conditioner too. Television was amazing!! Had Netflix Stan & other options not only inclusive of Normal channels. It was particularly clean & had a balcony. Booking over the phone have me the chance to have a better price & I used my credit card details to quickly secure a room & the office was open good hours. The receptionist was nice & very efficient it was all ready when I arrived.

Recent renovations have made this venue an attractive destination to consider in our choice of hotels in the Gold Coast. While not as luxurious as many other hotels, the room facilities were minimal but adequate for our needs and the cost was good value. Our room was number 22 and was very clean, quiet, spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot and strong and parking available. The staff were helpful and we are looking forward to returning soon.

A 20 hour visit left me feeling renewed, relaxed and keen to return. Cycled, swam, walked, ate and slept well. The beach is riiight there, sparkling and so clean! Fish galore. The room was airy, clean and fresh. Everything needed was supplied to a very high standard. Manager Di is a good communicator: really relaxed and clear. The wifi worked. I feel like I've travelled back to the Gold Coast of the sunny 60s. The brochures hardly do it justice. All that was missing was a Holden FJ!

The reception with checking in were 100% friendly -& it was an easy transition!! Not having to pay an expensive security/key deposit as alot of other accommodation facilities*motels/hotels/any form of rentals * was fantastic too. The room was good for the price which out of all this weekend's rates was the cheapest but probably the best overall with what was still left available? All amenities in the pre-paid for room were good but the couch in their made it better also. Only thing I didn't like was the television wasn't picking up all the main channels or it wasn't tuned in properly after the bad weather recently maybe?

I'd have given it a 5.0 review if it weren’t for one small thing. The (quite expensive) breakfast doesn't include coffee (unless you count those little Nescafe packets as ”coffee”). Not a big issue, except there’s an espresso machine right outside the breakfast area... for 5+ AUD per cup. Quite annoying! Well, and not free weights at the gym.

Do not stay here, bedbugs!!!! On our second night of staying here we discovered a bed bug infestation, forcing us to leave the hotel and all our clothes behind. When we first alerted the hotel the next day they continuously berated us for not going to them straight away despite it being 1am when we first discovered the bugs and not seeing any hotel staff at reception when we tried to find them. The manager, Matt tried to say they have their hours on the check in sheet they provided however it doesnt not say anywhere on this that its open till 4am. The main problem of the bed bugs was trying to be shifted onto us for not alerting them in the middle of the night. The hotel staff further attempted to shift blame onto us, accusing us of bringing the bed bugs in despite the whole ecosystem of bed bugs, babies larve and dead ones under the bed that have clearly been there well before our one night stay. The hotel reluctantly gave us a refund for our stay after we requested it, however they refused any reimbursement for the significant expenses we incurred in dry cleaning and replacing our belongings. This experience has cost us hundreds of dollars in new clothes, additional hotel expenses, and cleaning services. We understand that bedbugs can be an issue in hotels, the disappointment lies in the inadequate response and understanding demonstrated by the hotel staff when addressing the matter. It's essential for establishments to handle such situations with empathy and professionalism, aspects that were obviously lacking in our experience. Save yourself the trouble and money - steer clear of this place
