By far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. From start to finish the service was incredible as was the food, the rooms and the whole experience. From the moment you arrive 5* service received. My room was amazing, the bath of dreams so had a lovely soak and biggest shower head so that woke me up in the morning! Dinner at the Stables and food was exceptional, again as was the service. The grounds are extensive and beautiful, especially so at this time of year with the autumnal colours. All of the staff were just so attentive and treated us as valued guests. I can't recall all names, but special mention to Jamie, Gary (Security) and Dave who helped me during my visit. Will for sure be returning but also dining at The Stables as I live fairly local and able to dine without being a guest of hotel. Will try and get back for dinner over the festive season as i am sure it will look even more fabulous.
Stayed for 1 night after a day at the races. The owners are very good hosts and very friendly. We stayed in the Annex which was great with all the facilities to self cater if you wish too we however went for the cooked breakfast oprltion which was nicely cooked and tasty there was, also a great choice of cereals fruit and homemade yogurt which my wife said was delicious. The property is immaculate and located on a quiet estate. There was a great pub/resteraunt within walking distance. If I the area again we would use Lyndrick and would recommend.
ABC Hotel maintained cleanliness standards, but the room size was smaller than expected. The beautiful décor compensated for the limitations. While the location was a little far from major attractions, it was not difficult to find. Suitable for those valuing cleanliness and aesthetics, but consider alternatives for more spacious accommodations and a central location.
This place is trying to be everything; and it is missing the mark. Had to check ourselves in, which didn't phase us as we are quite tech savvy. But we had booked as a Legoland package so we found someone to ask for the goody bag and the lady looked at us like we were inconveniencing her. Asked same lady about food and was told we would need to book as it gets busy - booked for 6pm. Went to the local swim park - came back (starving 5 year old in tow) only to be told there was no reservation for us. Luckily the lovely lady on the door managed to find us somewhere. Kind of wish she hadn't bothered. Food wasn't great - husband actually wouldn't eat his main. Took ages to come. Becky (I think that was her name - short bob, brown hair) was the only thing that stopped us making a proper complaint. She was brilliant, despite being rushed off her feet!! Got to the room - only one toilet roll, not even full. Used it - went to ring reception for more, no phone. There was a QR code to scan to start a chat with the reception team. Very long winded. Did it - heard nothing back. Next day put the ”Come in” sign on the door hoping they would replenish - they didn't. Breakfast was CHAOS. All crammed into a small area - absolutely no flow at all. Bread ran out twice - guests had to ask for it to be replenished. Glasses for juice were still hot from coming out of the dish washer. The food was decent - much better than the evening meal we had. If you are looking for a basic stay, this will be adequate. Comfy bed. Clean(ish - there was a boot mark on the shower floor) But customer service (apart from Becky) was non-existent. Gym. Hotel. Sports bar....... doing a lot, but doing none of them particularly well.
One or the best hotels in the worlds. No doubt! Services and facilities are simply impeccable. After staying here I don’t ever want to go back to the hotels in London.
Let me start with some good points… My kid absolutely LOVED it, for him it was worth it. That’s what earns them 2 stars The pirate room was decorated brilliantly, the treasure hunt is a nice touch and there are plenty of nice little details The entertainment was fine The staff at the entrance were very helpful The rest of the stay, was underwhelming to say the least. The FOOD is honestly, without a doubt, the WORST part about the trip. I’m not expecting 5* food, but it is not fresh, I had asked for items without cheese and got told they’re all already pre made. The chicken wings I got were clearly microwaved. The Cuban sandwich is a brought in panini, quickly toasted to heat through. It was edible, but barely. The cooked breakfast was diabolical, the sausage was a boiled, mushy, abomination which tasted DISGUSTING. The portion was tiny. Honestly you’d be better off going to a nearby Wetherspoons. All the breakfast food also arrived in about 3 minutes, showing it isn’t cooked fresh but heated up and left in warmers, it all comes out at a tepid temperature and left you wishing you’d just stuck to the toast machine. The pirate pool is really small, didn’t have much to do and was honestly just underwhelming. It was OKAY but my son got bored after 30 minutes. There was also no soap/shampoo in the dispensers at the showers poolside, not a necessity but if they have the dispensers there, top them up… Overall I would say save yourself the money, go to legoland in the day and stay at a premier inn, you’d have a better experience for a fraction of the cost
We arrived just as a Wake was gathering! Despite that, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room, which was as described, although looking in need of freshening up. We understand a refurb is planned later this year, which will certainly make the place more inviting. We did a lovely circular walk into Windsor, returning via the Long Walk with an exit just a few hundred yards from the Union Inn. As we neared the end we looked forward to showers, so were disappointed to find no hot water in our room. We reported the problem and staff investigated. After two hours we were told a plumber would be out after breakfast. Whilst this was a tad inconvenient, we were treated very well by the Landlady who personally cooked and served us breakfast; she introduced us to her delightful Kite feeding routine and for our inconvenience said there would be no charge for our stay. We offered to pay for breakfast, but she refused to accept. A situation that could’ve resulted in an overall bad experience ended with us booking to return again in September, when we’re promised the water will be hot!! Thanks for looking after us so well.
