Yes, We returned in September 2024 and we were not disappointed. Service with a smile, shown to our room by a lovely member of staff who was courteous and friendly. I had a fantastic Spa treatment - followed by a superb evening meal and the next morning by a fantastic breakfast. As always the hotel and staff make our stay so relaxing and enjoyable - Thank You! September 2023 - A return visit, we are always made to feel so welcome. The service is fantastic, the staff are wonderful and the setting beautiful. For one of our evening meals, around the dessert plate, they had piped Happy Anniversary! such a lovely touch. The Spa was great, as was the treatment and staff there. A pleasant walk into York via the river. Easy access to the Racecourse for a walk around. We will be returning, always so refreshed after a visit. Thank You!

The best experience we had. Hotel was very clean. Full of character and we loved how they decorated the room. Staff were just amazing and looked after us at dinner table and breakfast time. The food was amazing too. They were very nice people and we enjoyed our stay. The only downsudr was the parking place, we barely could find a space but it was bank holiday weekend so understandable. Overall one of the best experience of staying at a hotel.

At arrival we managed to get the key before the actual check in time. I called the number and the housekeeper very kindly gave me the key card and showed me how to open doors for later on. We were so lucky to have a family room even if it was just the two of us. We stayed in room 3 at ground floor. There was plenty of space and lots of tea and coffee and a small fridge as well. The bathroom is awesome, brand new with a huge shower and very clean. Only thing is the radiators in the room do not work so there is a heater. The room was quite warm but maybe it would be better to have a different heating system for winter. We like staying in Fulford because it's much quieter than the city centre. The bus stop is very close and busses run every 15 minutes. Perfect for us!

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in York. My room was room 8 on ground floor. Room very clean and had everything you need, kettle, cups, glasses, Coffee, tea and milk, sugar. I took my own mug with me as prefer a bigger cup. The bed and pillows were very comfortable .Room had small TV (Which did come on randomly at 6am one morning, not sure if I knocked the control or whether it was set up to come on by a previous guest) The ensuite had everything you need with a few small shower gels, soaps and shampoo. Powerful shower. Car parking outside was good. I sat in the lounge both nights and it was also comfortable and had a bigger TV. I didn't have breakfast as had plans both days. Would definitely stay again in my next trip to York. Thank you!

This B&B is the best value for money in Fulford. We should know we have been visiting B&Bs owned by Fiona and Richardo for over 10 years. Internally it is clean and welcoming. Each room is decorated to a high standard and comes with an excellent tea / coffee tray and toiletries etc. The jewel in their crown is breakfast, it’s the best cooked breakfast we have ever had. Cooked by Richardo and served with a smile by Fiona. Located within walking distance of the City centre, York Racecourse and York Designer outlet plus it is serviced by local buses ……..this is an ideal location . Don’t take our word for it ….. give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Just a little bit far away from city center, it took us around 10 minutes to get there by bus. They offer a wide variety of food and beverages for breakfast, and surprisingly, most of them taste great.

We come every year between Xmas and new year for a short break and this year, even as we stepped through the front doors noticed a difference. Guests now have to pay to park at the hotel (£7.99 a night), the coffees at breakfast is no longer brought to the table, and no freshly made omelettes anymore! Rooms are not maintained each day by housekeeping, so after two nights we had to approach reception to ask them to empty our bins and replenish teas/coffees in the room. Front desk staff were friendly though staff at the leisure centre less so- quite abrupt in their manner! While we love it here for convenience we might look at alternative hotels in York next year!
