We arrived at 11.30 and receptionist was lovely and kept our case till our room was ready and pointed us in the Spa direction. Spa day supplied robe and slippers and staff showed us around and explained where to be for our treatments. Pool and Steam Room etc were fairly quite first thing, got busier later on. Everything was lovely, relaxation room could have done with some fruit/nibbles as I've had in other spa places, be a nice touch. We had lunch in the bar area and were served promptly, tables looked over the golf course which was nice. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had been upgraded by Spa Breaks, it looked over the golf course with a Juliette balcony, really good, sized twin bed room and bathroom. Dinner was lovely and you were allocated £25 towards dinner, the chicken and leek pie was delicious, drinks esp the wine was pricy. Breakfast again was lovely but missed a few basics like baked beans Definitely recommend

As a party of 2 couples we had visited separately and this was our first time together. Our rooms were fabulous, both in the converted barn. Not the biggest of rooms, however they absolutely had everything you could need and were exceptionally comfortable with amazing views over the Cheshire plain, Liverpool in full view. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was absolutely packed and deservedly so, the food was fabulous. Between us we had: soup, garlic ciabatta, bruschetta and cod fish cake, all of which were delicious. We all chose fillet steak for our main course, we all commented that it was one of the best we had had, succulent and perfectly cooked, served with great chips, tomato and mushroom - delicious. After a super rested nights sleep, we tucked in to yet more food. Our breakfast was again delicious, a decent continental selection, followed by good hot choices: omelette, poached eggs with avocado on sourdough, full English and crumpets with smoked salmon and poached eggs. If that wasn’t going to set us up for the day then nothing would. From start to finish the service was great, one waiter was a little grumpy in the morning, however I think I would be a little jaded following all the covers the previous evening. We had a fabulous stay, everything was so good. We are local and are already looking forward to the next excuse to treat ourselves.

My daughter’s wedding was here and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. The setting is beautiful their wedding was February so no guarantee of weather but that doesn’t affect the day at all.. Rooms are small but that’s part of the unique beauty, it’s a castle. It was a perfect wedding one they will always remember. If I had any complaints I would employ older staff as they didn’t seem to have any drive. Wine was supposed to be provided during the wedding breakfast but none appeared causing guests to go the bar. There was no announcement in the evening that food and drink was provided to guests who were dancing in the wedding chapel, it was left to family to announce. So if I were to make a change I’d employ a wedding coordinator to be present and make sure your expensive wedding went to plan. That said I would still book this venue it is a perfect place for a celebration and making memories.

We hired Rookery Hall as our wedding venue in August and thoroughly believe it played a massive part in us having the best day. Not only are the grounds and buildings beautiful, but is more about the people who work there who make it feel very warm. The reception team were lovely upon our arrival and everyone (from the chefs, to the bartenders and waitresses, to the team who helped coordinate our wedding itself) was on the top of their game and our guests were extremely impressed by them too. If you are considering Rookery as a wedding venue, it’s a no-brainer. The packages they offer take a lot of stress of the planning process and the team they have to help organise are brilliant. We love this place and will certainly be regular visitors in the future. Thank you for making our day!

Great stay and the spa is incredible. You can order drinks to your hot tub and the food in the spa restaurant was delicious
