PPengguna TetamuThe studio was located in the old town, 9 mins away by feet from the Saint Mary Assunta Cathedral and 12 mins away by feet from the ferries' piers. Self check in was possible (though I was offline, so opted for standard check in). Great staff. The studio was spacious, clean, with all the amenities I needed. Bed and pillows were very compfy. Wifi was available for free. Self check out was simple.

SStephanieCheck in was easy and seamless. You get your personal code to access the room. I was in an 8-bed mixed dorm. Great vibes all round. Everyone was very friendly. Oh and a complimentary welcome drink too. There's a 24hour supermarket right next door which wsas very handy to have for late arrivals.
Bathroom was clean and easy. plenty of space for storage despite being in a 8-bed room. highly recommended.

Embora não fique muito próxima ao lago, tem o benefício de ficar num bairro muito tranquilo, com várias opções de estacionamento gratuito. Quarto e banheiro super espaçosos com muitos lugares para colocar malas e roupas. O café da manhã simplesmente perfeito. Tudo fresco, de alta qualidade e preparado com muito cuidado pela Tati, que é uma pessoa muito simpática e atenciosa. Tivemos dias maravilhosos com bastante conforto.

PPengguna TetamuWe lived in Como for a while and walked past this hotel every day. It's literally on the lakefront and as central to the centro storico, the bus station and the train station as it is possible to get. We always thought it would be a nice place to stay. Roll forward and we had reason to visit Como again this week so we booked it. I also booked another room for someone we were planning to meet in Como.
The hotel is one of those elegant old-school hotels you could imagine from reading about the grand old days of ('old' in the sense of traditional, elegant and sophisticated - but not 'old' in a 'tired' way). Imagine the exact opposite of a modern steel & glass skyscraper hotel and this is what you will find here.
Staff were very attentive and friendly (while still being unobtrusive and professional). Food was excellent. Maybe the breakfast was a little but expensive but that's the way it is with hotels - just book it with your reservation and you'll save. Dinner in the restaurant overlooking the fountain (twice) was fantastic. Many of the dishes were not as expensive as local tourist ripoffs elsewhere in the City. The Cotoletta Milanese was as good as I have ever tasted anywhere in northern Italy (imagine a soft, succulent Veal steak covered in breadcrumbs) and big enough to share 1/3 of it and still be full afterwards. The Lunch menu was better and less expensive than places with much less quality on the menu.
Overall, I would happily recommend the Palace Hotel to anyone. Treat yourself and book a room with a Lake View. You won't regret the extra few Euro.

PPengguna TetamuThe location was great but it was a strange hotel. We were in room 901 but it was on the ground floor. We opened the door and were hit by a heavy perfume aroma. This never went away even when we opened a window. The fly screen had holes in it. The room was an odd shop with the bathroom door touching the bed. It was difficult to stand at the sink as the toilet was in the way. The bed was lumpy so we didn’t sleep well. However the breakfast was excellent and the lady was welcoming. Disappointed to be honest.

PPengguna Tetamumy wife and I visited the hotel during winter. It was not crowded and we were the only ones who had dinner at the hotel restaurant that night. The food is good.
what i want to stress the most is that the view from my lakeview room is stunning. i believe it has the best view out of all the hotels in Bellagio given its location and altitude. With the room, view and service we got, it is safe to say it has the greatest value for money out all my 9-day stay in Italy.

PPengguna TetamuMy second stay here having stayed in 2018 but wow how Como has changed! It is indeed very touristy now. I asked for the same room as I had last time but after a second night or poor nights sleep from the loud music on the square and the rubbish bottle bins being collected during the night it became unbearable. I was moved to the loft room which was far better however, there was a strong “drain smell” in the rooms, I wished I had brought my pillow spray! The receptionist desk was often unmanned and at times I felt I was treated more like a nuisance than a guest. Given the reception is not manned during the night you just have a spy hole on the doors of the bedrooms for the comfort of travellers, especially solo ones. The staff were usually quite kind and it was great to see a few familiar faces from my last visit. This hotel was amazing last time however standards seemed to have dropped. The luggage storage area didn’t seem particularly safe just a cupboard off the kitchen where I could go and collect my bag without anyone challenging me on where I was going and what I was doing. The area outside was costly for breakfast which I enjoyed and to have drinks in the evening.

PPengguna TetamuBrilliant hotel! All staff very friendly and helpful cannot do enough for you! Rooms basic but spotless (no kettle but they will make you a tea or coffee just go to reception and ask) location next to a bus stop, supermarket you can see from hotel and its 24/7 and very reasonable! Town is 10 minutes down the road as is the lake! Literally cannot praise this hotel enough! Breakfast is continental.

PPengguna TetamuDeze Albergo met slechts 1 ster moet er minstens 3 hebben: een verrassende ontdekking in de heuvels van Cernobbio. Eerste reactie bij aankomst: hier komen we terug. Zalig restaurant, heel nette kamer mét airco, parking om de hoek, vriendelijk personeel, ontbijt is voldoende. Veel locals komen hier eten en dat zegt genoeg. Een aanrader ,ook voor mensen met kinderen. Het dorp aan het meer ligt precies 390 trappen lager, een mooie wandeling. Wij raden dit hotel van harte aan en komen hier absoluut terug naartoe!

PPengguna TetamuWe booked a double comfort room but we’re put in a disabled access room. Neither of us have mobility issues and are supposed to be on a romantic weekend away and we thought by booking a 4 star hotel we would get the romantic atmosphere advertised on line. We asked about room service when we arrived as it was quite late and were met with a response of “nothings open” despite the website advertising 24hour room service with no extra charge and free water from the mini bar. When we got to our room there was a notice on the side with information about the room service hours which also stated there would be a 3€ charge just to call down to room service, as well as a note on the mini bar stating a 1.50€ fee for water. Our bathroom does not have the bidet that’s stated in the room description online and the toilet is raised far too high for either of us to use comfortably. The rest of the bathroom is completely bare, with not so much as a shower curtain. Our safe does not work, despite someone coming to change the batteries inside and still no resolution to our issue! We have only one bedside table and had to resort to using the cheap plastic chair as a replacement on one side of the bed. The receptionist was less than cooperative when we went down to discuss our feelings/options and we were met with “we don’t change the bookings this is what you booked”. After showing her our booking and where it stated what we paid for she responded with “we’re full so we can’t move you unless you want to sleep separately or if someone cancels” . We feel as though we have been lied to and don’t feel as though we have been provided with the service that we have paid for. Having seen the room pictures online of what we had actually booked we are completely disgusted and can’t help feeling a bit discriminated against due to us being a same sex couple. It’s our first time in Milan and this has truly tainted our view and will probably not be coming back at all.
