和室の部屋を選択 料理もとても美味しく、部屋も綺麗だった 部屋から見る山の景色も綺麗でしたし、朝食の時に座った角席から見た景色も綺麗だった！ また利用したいと思う。

エアコンの運転音が大きく換気扇も相まってノイジーだった。設備はゴルフメインのため豪華だったが、ベランダの外は高い壁で景色は見えず。費用対効果は高く、お勧めです。ゴルフ場入り口から宿までは1.5キロメートルあり無灯火で不安になった。

4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties. Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.

部屋から荒川と低い山並みだけが見え、カラスの鳴き声以外静寂に包まれる。水周りは機器入れ替えしたばかりなのか、清潔。食事も出汁がとても美味しく、奇をてらわずオーソドックスで問題ありません。年越し蕎麦が含まれたせいか、ちょっと量が多めでした。

チェックイン前にロビーラウンジにて飲み物（コーヒー、ジュース)を出してくれました。 館内は美しい壺、絵、大黒像、写真などが沢山飾られており、館内歩いていても飽きないです。 部屋はつれあいが、訳あり部屋を予約していたため、長方形の普通の和室でした。部屋のお菓子は和どう直営のお店の和菓子栗助でし、美味しく栗饅頭です。 お風呂の温泉は本の少しのみ、硫黄の匂いがする良い温泉(鉱泉)です。 かつてこの鉱泉を近隣の人が目薬や切り傷に使用したと伝えられ、薬師の湯、秩父最古の湯であると江戸幕府が編集した風土記に記されていると宿パンフレットの載っていました。 夕食は部屋食でした。地酒の(にごり)酒は300cc 1100円でリーズナブルでした。 夕食は地元秩父の郷土料理や地の物も使われてバライティーにとんでました。量や品数が多くてとても食べ切れなかったです。若い方や沢山食べる人には良いと思われました(肉料理は3種)。 朝食は和食のセットメニューでした。おかずは良かったですが、ご飯が固くイマイチでした。コーヒー、ミルクなどと、納豆やヨーグルトなどはバイキング形式でした。食後のコーヒーは部屋にテイクアウト可能でした。 ホスピタリティーも良いお宿と感じました。

車で到着したらすぐ出迎えてくれて、ロビーラウンジにて、アイスティーとメイプル味のラスクを出してくれました。 ラウンジから出てみると、眼下に渓流が流れていて、緑がきれいです。 ホテルのパンフレットによると、昭和31年創業とのことです。 今回はつれあいがビジネスプランで予約したので、部屋は狭かったですが、緑が見えて良い景色でした。 部屋のバスエリアの掃除関連の匂いが部屋の中にもするので、少し気になりました。 なお、ホテルパンフレットやユーチューブで見たら、和モダンの素敵なお部屋もありました。 さて、お風呂ですが、残念な事に、露天風呂は18:30までは有料貸切風呂になっていて、18:30までは、自由に入力が可能です。 お風呂エリアは硫黄の匂いがしましたが、内風呂の温泉は硫黄の匂いはしませんでした。お風呂からも渓流が見えます。 日帰りのお客さんも利用してました。アメニティー類は揃ってます。 翌朝は、露天風呂に行ってみました。早朝で半露天風呂で窓が無いので、良い風が入ってきて気持ちよかったです。洗い場は３つです。この露天風呂と部屋のお風呂は温泉ではないとの事です。 夕食は広い大会場でしたが、テーブル間は空いています。 お刺身、天ぷら、茶碗蒸しなどの旅館メニューでした。岩魚焼きと、プタの味噌焼きが美味しかったです。またデザートがこんにゃく黒蜜きなこでした。薄くスライスされ冷たいこんにゃくデザートも美味しかったです。 朝食はビニール手袋マスク使用で、バイキングでした。 肉じゃがや和え物など手作り感がある品もありました。 コーヒー紅茶も美味しかったです。 食べ終わった食器などがテーブルに置きっぱなしなのが気になりました。 次回は和モダンの部屋に泊まってみたいです。
