Hotel terbaik di Marsalforn

As we booked this last minute break at a real bargain, only 6 days before we actually flew, we weren’t expecting the standard of holiday that we actually experienced. We were made aware of the building work to the front of the hotel, our room was at the back and we spent every day out sightseeing or at the beach so were totally unaffected by it. The location is perfect, close to the restaurants & bars, bus stops and mini-markets in a gorgeous little bay. Our room (303) had everything we needed, great a/c, powerful shower, fridge, tea/coffee, kettle etc. It was kept exceptionally clean with regular towel & bedding changes. The breakfast was brilliant, freshly made cooked breakfast, plenty of choice of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruits & cereals. Overall the accommodation was fabulous. All the staff were hardworking, professional and very friendly. Anais & Jency were adorable, neither of them could do enough for us and always greeted us with their gorgeous smiles. Gozo is a wonderful little island with so much to do and see, we would thoroughly recommend this b&b as a base for a great holiday. We intend to return, as a week was not long enough to enjoy it all.

Well done and a BIG thank you to Joseph and his family for making this a unforgettable short holiday. My wife and i have just spent the weekend at Lantern Guesthouse, Marsalforn were everything was excellent. Cleanliness all-around and great choice of English and continental breakfast prepared by Joseph’s mother and all the family. It was evident, that once you go to the Lantern, you keep on going there as Joseph and his family make you feel appreciated I recommend this guesthouse to all and surely it won’t be the last time that we go there again. This was my second visit this summer and I can’t think of anywhere else I would rather stay. Sonia and her team of wonderful ladies make you feel like you are at home. The house is impeccably clean, the breakfast is amazing and the staff always have a smile and time for a chat. Looking forward to my next visit as soon as possible, Sonia, you know how much it means to me staying at Maria Giovanna ❤️

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.

We stayed here for one night and unfortunately it was one night too many. The staff are all very friendly and cannot fault them, they gave us what they said was one of the nicer rooms which we were grateful for. The hotel landscape is gorgeous, unfortunately it is incredibly outdated and facilities are very tired. The main pool is grubby, the hotel room is needs a total renovation, AC is very old, beds are very uncomfortable, hairdryer from the 20th century (see photo), TV very old a pixelated, bathroom in the room incredible aged and looks dirty because of this. The kettle in our room was covered in limescale. We ordered burgers and a pina colada and cake on the first day, they were all very poor quality, the burger looked totally professed and it’s since left me with a stomach ache. Aside from the potato’s at breakfast, the rest was inedible in my view, including the machine coffee that tasted strange. I’ve noticed the manager does get offended with poor reviews and whilst I would have said something to them at the time, I think they can see for themselves how tired the facilities are so I didn’t see the point. I don’t recommend.
