PPengguna TetamuIn Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

PPengguna TetamuWARNiNG!! DONT BOOK for THIS SCAMMERS!! We booked a room for 3 people (as it says sleeps 3 for one room) for August 2023 for one night only because we have flight in the morning. I’ve asked for the agent to change my name to my husband’s as I will be late for few hours and I was the one who booked them so I should show my passport and bank card. The agent changed it to my husband’s name and put my son’s name and didn’t include my name! And when ive complaint about it the hotel asked me for a payment of 2500 gbp extra!! Is something wrong with their heads or what?? Then they denied that in Hotel.com website says that the room sleeps 3. They said they only do 2. Then telling me that my son is 14 so he is not allowed in the room. Told them when I’ve booked, it asked me for my son’s age and there was no problem. Anyway I’ve ready all their policy and there was nothing indicating 18 years old above. What disgusting people!!!

PPengguna TetamuDo not ever bother to waste your time or money on staying at a hotel with office staff as rude,arrogant,abusive as the office staff that are employed by GO hotels at this Butuan location, at approximately 1500 hrs or 3 PM Thursday 11 th of August 2022 my Filipino wife attempted to check our family of three into the PWD available rooms that GO hotels advertise, as i myself is a gentleman of 24/7 in a wheelchair, upon approaching the checkin dest at this GO hotel Butuan my wife was immediately attacked verbally by the rude arrogant office staff at this hotel, accusations at my wife of such outstanding completely ridiculous accusations of such things such as ” you are a trouble maker ” you ” are not welcome here ” you ” make complaints about us ” WTH ??? About 3 and a half years ago we did stay at this GO hotel Butuan on a journey to another destination a long time before covid lockdown, these GO hotel staff are racist plus anti PWD people as also i myself am a Reverend minister in a charity o religious organization, finally a Minor office lackey told my now upset stressed angry wife ” you can stay one night but the next night we are fully booked out you must go away ” well this person of low IQ is now playing lord and ruler over my wife and our family, my wife then consulted myself and with the Lords guidance we declaired that if this is the atertude of GO hotel Butuan then they can keep it and bo not need our money, we then proceeded to locate a far better and cheaper that nights hotel, thank you GOHotel Butuan for showing the general public of Philippines what rude,arrogant,racist,anti PWD, sexist staff that are employed by GO hotels at there butuan location, i fully believe GO hotels Butuan should be blacklisted until complete rude arrogant office staff have been preschool in public PR or better still all replaced except for the very helpful doormen, God bless and forgive the GO hotel Butuan office staff for there evilness. 6649reneevIn onze vakantie op Bonaire 3x gegeten bij chefkok Corjan en 3x top. Als liefhebber van goed eten weer aan het juiste adres geweest. 2x vis als hoofd en 1x vlees. Alle 3 in perfecte balans wat smaak en zicht betreft. Hoop nog steeds dat hij weer gaat koken in Zeeland. Kunnen we wat vaker genieten.

PPengguna TetamuOne of my favorite travel stories took place here at the Almont Hotel. First a little description of the setting - the hotel is situated on a typical Spanish style town square with an old colonial Catholic church and a central small park with a bandstand and small kiosk businesses around the square. For the second time I was stranded in Butuan, this time due to a delayed flight from Manila arriving close to midnight causing me to spend the night there before continuing on the next day. Remembering my pleasant previous stay at the Almont, I checked in there a little after midnight into a pleasant second floor room. I had just fallen asleep when I felt someone shaking my bed! I woke up but there was nobody there! Ghosts? No. an earthquake! I had experienced earthquakes before so jumped out of bed grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around myself and headed out of the room and down the stairs and into the street joining the other hotel guests who were similarly wrapped in sheets and bedclothes all excitedly milling about while the ground was still shaking.! Suddenly all the power in Butuan went out and with it all the lights as well! It was a starless, moonless night and the square was pitch black and several screams and louder talking arose when suddenly a bright white cross appeared in the sky! I'm sure that everyone fell to their knees in prayer, certain that the end of the world was at hand and this was the Rapture. We were going to meet our maker! Gradually a few generators came to life - the first being the one in the church which was responsible for lighting the cross at the top of the steeple. We were all saved! And given a second chance to atone for our sins! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy retelling it again and again! BTW Butuan as well as much of the Philippines is no stranger to earthquakes with many small tremors every year. But the Almont was completely undamaged and I will feel safe there the next time I stay there!

KKeyna RodelaThis is our second time checking in Watergate and they were still excellent. Thank u sa staff ffor the very good service and food as well. Plus we appreciate the cleaning of the pool as well. Hindi lang sha clean2x na parang wala, but we saw pool cleaners who were excellent talaga.great job

666772625The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Note for those who might be confused by this site: The information and reviews on this page are for the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel. There is also an Annex. Tripadvisor currently has the headings swapped.
