Felt welcome at our arrival specially by reception (Fabrizia) she went above and beyond to attend our needs! Jenifer was great as well. The breakfast was great and the service by Jenifer and the cooks were awesome!

You are told the price and they say plus tax, you being tired and just needing sleep agree. The next morning, you are hit with not one tax but SEVERAL!!!! It makes an otherwise ok rate a very not ok one. I have started asking for the entire price before I even agree to stay.

This was a great hotel! The staff was really helpful, both at check-in and check-out. They offered suggestions for local restaurants, and acknowledged my frequent visits to BW hotels. The room was clean, there was a pool and there was fresh fruit at the free breakfast. The breakfast had omelette with fresh spinach and cheddar cheese that could be added, sausage, yoghurt and fresh fruit, among other items. I felt safe walking around the hotel and surrounding area.

WARNING: Great place if you want to sleep 5 feet away from homeless encampments and you love the smell of urine and rot. I was able to get a refund due to my room smelling like something was decomposing inside. The staff refused a refund until they actually opened the door themselves and were overwhelmed by the smell. The managers idea of fixing the room was spraying fabreeze but he clearly knew there was no fixing once he smelled for himself. You can smell the rot 10 feet before you even get to the room. I've never smelt anything so horrible. I'm still mystified as to what could have caused that kind of smell. Also notable is the fact that Homeless encampments surround the hotel...directly behind the wall to the rooms.

There were dark hairs in the bathtub, gross. I cleaned it before we used it. Towels and wash clothes were tattered/thin/worn. Room showed wear and tear. The entire room smelled very strongly of onions/food cooking. We were wondering if someone was living below the room and cooking something. The smell did not dissipate at all and the odor was very strong, all night long. We were woke up at 2-3 am by people partying in the parking lot just outside of our room. 2 men and 2 women drinking, talking loudly, and locking/unlocking their car repeatedly *beep* *beep beep* *beep* *beep beep*. Real annoying. I don't know if they were staying at the hotel or just came over there to party in the parking lot after the bars closed, but they caused us to have a bad nights sleep. Overall not worth the $$ paid. Although this was the least expensive place we could find in Gilroy at $146. More like an $80-$100 room/hotel.

The stay started off for the most part normal. Weird thing is they have the doors lock and you have to be buzzed in. The room was nice and so was the breakfast. The problem started post check out. We were halfway home to Fresno, and I remembered I left my wedding rings in the restroom vanity. It hasn't been more then 2 hours since we had check out. I called the front desk so they could go up there and get them for us and we could drive back to Gilroy to pick them up. The young lady says the room hasn't been clean and they will go up there to check. She calls me back less then 10 mins that there are not there. I know I left them there. I check all my belongings and they weren't there. I then spoke to another gentlemen who says no one has gone in to that room since they won't be clean till the next day. I tell him well the rings didn't just walk up and leave. So either you haven't check or one of your employees pocket them. He said he would give me a call back if they found anything. No call received. My husband then calls later that afternoon and the lady at the front says the room will be clean that day and they will give him a call back. No call received. Just be careful when staying here. Don't forget your valuables like we did/ even though it's an expensive hotel the staff have sticky fingers. Or if your staying multiple nights don't leave anything valuable if there coming in to clean your room. Very disappointed in this hotel and its management.
