We were recently in town for a family event. Our event was in a little sketchier part of town, but we only had to drive a short distance to Holiday Inn. They are across the street from the Hurst Police Department and several other hotels, so we felt perfectly safe and even walked to dinner rather than drive. While the decor is a little dated with the heavy wood feel, you can tell it has been very well maintained. We were near the highway, but the room was very quiet. We reserved a suite which would allow a bit more room for our family to spread out. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast was predictable, typical HI fare.

It’s almost surprising to me that I have never used this property. I have used the other newer Hilton brand just down the street and was wholly unimpressed with the architecture and the offering. This property is fantastic for what Hampton intends to be, but they are missing one very important feature - in room safes. The brand has set the standard for this and I would not have become so interested in it were it not for innkeeper’s absolute refusal to deal with dishonest maid staff. A safe behind the counter is not good enough because it requires me to drag my electronics down there every time I leave the room. A hotel is not jail and freedom of movement is mandatory, and carrying around a bunch of electronics has shown up as required for living much of anywhere. To have a safe place to store that thing while staying on the road has become extremely important and I’m hoping all brands will recognize this and offer the guess a place of safety within their own room. It’s become so important that I intend to start calling ahead to find out if these are offered when deciding where I’m going to stay. Outside of that this place was all Hilton, from the lobby to the guest room to the staff on duty. I live here and I was only here because of the electric power uncertainty when it’s blistering cold. I didn’t use many of the facilities and don’t care about the swimming pool. I’ve learned a long time ago it’s worth the added cost to choose a dependable brand. The lack of standards in the lesser brands has driven me away from them. The franchise police have been eliminated from the lesser brands and they are lately getting away with providing nothing to the customer. I am lucky I played my cards right and have earned enough I am not forced to put up with that. Hampton has kicked HI off their throne for my needs thus when I’m going some place needing a place to stay I’ll look for a Hilton brand that meets the needs before any other.. I’d recommend this place to anyone as you’re getting what you pay for. There’s no reason for me to come back because I live here, but that’s not always true either.

I recently stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's location was perfect, close to major attractions and public transport. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, catering to all tastes. The rooftop pool provided a stunning view of the city, making it a perfect spot to relax. Overall, Hotel Serenity exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for a pleasant stay.

Great customer service. Everyone was so nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. I love the separate seating area with the small kitchen. Just like a mini apartment. This hotel is close to the airport, shopping and my kids. We will definitely stay here again.

A delay with American Airlines at 12:30 on a Sunday morning meant that I had a hotel voucher since I would need to overnight. I booked, then called the hotel for a shuttle who told me where to wait at DFW airport and waited to no avail. The reason I booked this place was because the shuttle service went until 1:05 AM according to American Airlines' hotel voucher site. As it was approaching 1 AM, I started calling but getting no answer. Since I was not getting through, I contacted Wyndham reservations who tried to call them as well, and had no luck. After nearly an hour of no answers, I called an Uber. I got to the hotel, get checked in, and was offered to use my meal voucher for breakfast telling me about how AA only pays for the room and nothing else which I won't argue about — the hotel appears to be run by a family and I can understand that bulk rates and such may affect the hotel's bottom line so I'll give them that. I was considering using it until the front desk told me that the only airport shuttle that morning would be at 7 — over three hours before my flight. For me, three hours was too early as getting around DFW is not as difficult as other major airports. By this point, it was almost 2 in the morning, and I needed rest so I got to my room for about 4 hours of sleep. Had there been an airport shuttle that would go at every hour like other places, I could have gotten a bit of extra sleep, spent my meal voucher to eat breakfast at the hotel, and go. I didn't get to see the room a lot as I just went to sleep but it looked clean and comfortable so no issues there. However, I did forget to ask for a wakeup call when I got in, so I dialed the front desk before going to bed, only to receive no answer (I'm sensing a theme). I'm usually someone who sleeps through his alarms, so the shrill of a ringing telephone is much more helpful. The shower looked clean and the toiletries were stocked so I used them with ease in the morning. My experience was not the best, and from my observation, this is a roadside hotel that brings in travelers from DFW due to its proximity of about 7 miles (11 km). In the past, I have had long flight delays or cancellations and would need to overnight at hotels. Those hotels answered my calls and were able to assist me with issues like where to wait at the airport, where the hotel shuttle is, etc., but I feel like this place did the minimum in providing a room and not bring in much of a soft product like those other places. Even the front desk answering my call and saying that the airport shuttle was not running at that hour would have saved a lot of time and made the journey better. I wouldn't be happy about it, but I would still get myself there and not waste time at the airport after having spent the better part of a day there. Overall, I'll sleep there for the night, but not much else. Thank you for providing me with a room for the night, but please work on your soft product! Communication goes a long way.
